The harvest took a long time. A bunch of leaves to trim as I opted to wet trim my larger colas. She's in the tent drying now - with all the trim sitting on cardboard. I have 2 fans running pointed at the walls and my carbon filter is running.

Reviews. Nutrient
These were great! As this was an Auto I used less than 50% the recommendation. The only thing that can be improved about these is the packaging, the bottles leak a few drops at the top. As you shake before use this is sometimes a bit messy.
Did the CalMag job great - I used it for my buffering of the Coco before the grow.
Reviews. Lamp
No problems here at all. Didn't run hot and provided plenty of light.
Reviews. Tent
Tent is in tip top shape after the first grow. Everything did well - I would recommend the 60Γ—60Γ—160cm just to cover yourself with some strains that might stretch more. For me this one worked out perfect.

As it's my first grow I don't have anything to compare it to but I'd say it was a walk in the park. Keeping my conditions steady was more of a challenge than the actual grow. She really stretched during the first 4 weeks of flowering so be prepared for that. My tent is 4ft tall and thanks to some good working LST she just managed to keep far away from the light. Watering her everyday became part of my morning routine with a cup of coffee. I'm gonna miss those times - Onto the next grow!

Grow Questions

I've spotted some yellowing on new growth. I'm just in the end of Week 3 and am thinking it's caused by nutrient deficiencies? I've been sticking to 0.25ml/L and am planning to go to 1ml/L starting Week 4. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I've been getting mixed opinions on pruning at this stage. Should I remove the bottom most baby leaves of my plant? This is Day 21 of an Auto. Should I be removing the most bottom set of fan leaves? Should I wait? Should I leave em? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

At the moment your plant is doing fine. Personally I wouldn't remove anything yet as nothing is blocking light to other parts of the plant. In about a week to 2 weeks time when growth explodes is the time I would remove a few of the older leaves.

Hi everyone! I started my LST this morning on Day 23. As it's my first time growing, I'd like some experienced growers to have a look at the job I've done. Many thanks in advance!πŸ‘Œ

It looks fine. Leave it a few days for more growth b4 applying anymore. Then it's a case of adjusting and doing a bit more every few days. Good luck.

I've noticed some white fluff on the side of my grow bag. I'm guessing it's some fungus, should I be concerned at this stage? Day 23 in material bags. Thanks in advance πŸ‘Œ

Most likely excess salt from the nutrients. Happens a lot. Sometimes can be mould but most the time its just salts

Are these yellow tips anything to worry about at this moment? I noticed slight Nutrient burn on day 25 and lowered nutrient concentration which seems to have stopped it on newer growth. Anything I might be missing?

hey there JiggleB, i gotta disagree with my growmie on this one, this is the start of a magnesium related issue. Two things are happening, it could be you're giving too much Mg and you're seeing lock out. or more likely the light schedule is too intense and the plant needs more Mg to regulate photosynthesis than it can absorb through it's roots. You would do well to shave off a few hours of light to treat the root cause. But if you dont want to do that another thing you can do is make a cal mag spray just use 1mL/L calmag , spray twice a week. Absorption by the leafs is 80% efficient compared to 20% efficient by the roots. Hope this helps ! πŸš€

Should I do something about the side of my grow bag? Material bag with Coco Coir so watering/nutes schedule is frequent.

Hi all! I'm using Advanced Nutrients Perfect PH Trio - it's been working pretty great throughout Veg. Now that I'm entering flowering, has anyone got experience with having to either add Big Bud or some other bloom nutes? Or shall I adjust the Trio ratio to favour bloom? Thanks!

I like the bud ignitor for pre flower then add the big bud and then the overdrive for finishing.

@JiggleBudz, I used pipe cleaners for LST and they worked wonders. Never even left a single mark on the stems and I think they are cheaper than garden wire. Yeah man, the drying process is a biatch, I hope I won't fuck up 3 months of work LOL. Anyway, it depends on the environment you have to dry. If I had a place colder than I have I would have divided the plant in branches, but you have to work with what you have I guess. Right now I'm on day 3 and the plant is not even close to be dry so I'm hopeful I will reach the 10 day mark, the slower the better. Rh is 59/63, good airflow, carbon filter always on to control the humidity. We'll see!

@toxicswine462, oh damn thank you very much! If I can give one word of advice, try avoid using the steel stakes directly on the stems. It left a little black damaged spot when I eventually switched to green garden wire. I'll be using the green garden wire in the future for all my LST, it's way more workable than I originally thought. I'll be keeping an eye on your drying process as I'm still unsure about what I'm gonna do when we get there!

JiggleBudzcommented3 years ago
@JuanHaze_Arg, I pointed my fans downwards to cycle air around the bottom of the canopy but also the outside of the pot. This helped to dry out a bit more on the outsides and the fluff stopped and seemed to have dissapeared. I did get some 3% peroxide spray from Amazon but am yet to use it as it seems under control now.

Good luck with your grow! <3 I have that pheno as well, I removed tons of leaves, also quite a lot of secondary shoots. :) She liked it!
SlowpokeFuegobud
SlowpokeFuegobudcommented3 years ago
@JiggleBudz, I literally defoliated all the time until very late in flower, if I remember right I removed flowers in flowering week 4. Just do it now as your gut tells you, and wait until you feel the same again. You will see how fast the leaves come back. Take a look at Mimmy in my diary if you like! πŸ₯¦ The smell is sooo good by the way, I love it! Test bud got approved of as well. :)

JiggleBudzcommented3 years ago
@SlowpokeFuegobud, hi there! I've really been trying to figure out how/where to start defoliation. I've just been leaf tucking daily but am thinking I should get some air in there. Do you recall what weeks you defoliated? Is it too late into flower for me to start?
