Acti-Vera - BioBizz
Acti-Vera 0.25 mll
A cross between a powerful indica, a potent medical strain and a modern classic, Black Sugar retains all of the best characteristics of its parents. From its Black Domina line, this strain maintains an incomparable relaxing effect and fast flowering traits. From its LA OG parent, Black Sugar offers potency and potential therapeutic benefits. Finally, from its Critical lineage, this plant retains its short stature, making it an ideal strain for indoor, or limited space cultivation. However, what Black Sugar lacks in stature, she more than makes up for in yield – where she can reach up to 600gr/m2. With an intensely fruity aroma and dense bus covered in crystals, Black Sugar is a high-THC strain that ought not to be missed. This black sugar was germinated on the 7th of July by being placed directly into biobizz lightmix from the packet, and was saturated with activera, she then surfaced 3 days later (today) I will upload a picture of the seedling when I am in the grow room this afternoon and then will upload all the details properly, just want to get these up so I have less to do this after noon! To be continued... Sorry the seedling pic is a little blurry I will get a better one next time a go and spray the dome!

Bio silicon 0.25 mll
D8, so I originally had my led 20" but have lowered it down to 8 over the week as a couple of the other strains were stretching for it, and they seems to have stopped once it for there, I have started adding bio silicon at 0.25ml/l to help toughen them up a little and will be transplant after the end of this week as they seem to be getting quite thirsty at the moment. Other then this there isn't really much to update at the moment! So will update again in a few days. D12, the pictures I have just added are from yesterday, I intended on transplanting at around 14 days but being in the 0.5l pot she was starting to get pretty thirsty and I started having to water twice a day so I have just re-potted her into the 5l pot, still using light mix soil as planned and she will make home here for the next couple of weeks, I have hurried some of her stem during this too, to try and thicken her so a little and make her a bit shorted because she was starting to lean over. Other then this there isn't really much else to say so will leave posting anything now till I upload week 3

So this girl is a couple days into week 3 now, as you can see from the updates she has displayed quite a bit of growth over the past week, he has been transplanted into a 5l pot but when I transplanted this one I accidently put her in the wrong pot and she ended up being planted in the soil I had mixed the grow caps in, this one was transplanted at around ten days old though so he has taken well to it by the look of this so I will continue her on and see how she gets on, she seems happy though so fingers crossed she shows some positive results from the grow caps

So we are at day 25, the pictures were taken yesterday and aren't very good quality but I am watering them today so will get some clearer pictures and upload them tonight, this black sugar is doing quite well, you can see she looks a little burned on some of her lower leaves, and I have had to defoliate a couple that looked a little worse off, I am putting it down to the silicon though with the grow caps as since I stopped adding it the new growth seems to look nice and healthy she looks strong over all though and has shot up since my last update by doubling in size, she also started getting purple stems quite early and now Its coming on a lot more, the picture doesn't really do it justice but it's that purple she almost looks black, my gf said something to me yesterday which was about the smell coming from this tent so I haven't pinpointed it yet but at not quite 4weeks old something is stinking in there already haha.. So far though she seems to be doing well with the grow caps so I guess I don't regret potting her into the wrong soil, let's just hope she keeps it up! All 7 strains have been topped this week and i am going to start getting the new tops tied down and start training properly when she has been transplanted at the end of this week. Will get these better pictures up tonight! Thanks for checking in

Today is d1 of w5, the pictures from this update are from today and taken right after she was transplanted, she was moved into biobizz light mix again in a 20l pot and the soil was pre-mixed with the grow caps in advance, I haven't measured her hight yet but will do so soon, I have begun training her so she will be a bit shorter and she is starting to even out already so hopefully the transplant doesn't cause her any stress and she carries on as normal, she has come along well with the grow caps so far so I am looking forward to seeing her progress as she continues! Being that i am on the first day of week 5 I am only half way through veg, and she is still under my 300w prakasa cob led.. however once I have transplanted the rest of the strains I am running I have a feeling that the led isn't going to cover everything with out them stretching, so will have to see how they get on but it is possible that in the near future I will be switching the led for my 400w hps to finish veging.

At the beginning of week 6 i split up the 7 plants so that i have the indica dom/hybrid strains in one tent, and the sativa dom strains in separate tent, this was mainly to avoid the plants from trying to out do each other for light. during this time i also noticed that each of the strains had displayed quite a bit of root growth out of the bottom of the pot, so being that they were only transplanted a week before they have done well to fill the space already, because everything has been split up though i wasn't very keen on the idea of running 2 hps lights for 18 hours a day because of the heat it causes, so this week has been my last of veg, the pictures i have added were from the beginning of the week and i apologise for the lack of them, there will be more updated of her progress this weekend though. as you can see from them though she has progressed well since my previous update, she is also the strongest out of the strains i am running so far, the hooks i used for training didn't really make a difference at all and she just ended up pulling them up fairly quickly and growing out anyway, because of this as i am about to go into flower i am going to lightly die down her main tops instead so that during the flowering stretch the rest can catch up as much as possible and she will fill out a little more. (at least i hope anyway) so you should be able to see this on my next update. the grow caps i am using on this strain instead of the nutrients seem to be working great, she looks like she is thriving and as i said she is the strongest out of all the strains so far, being that there is quite limited information on them i was nervous about trying them at first but they seem to to be doing a good job so i am looking forward to seeing how she progresses through the flowering stage.

Week7, d46-4days into 12/12 So.. Over the past week these grow caps have continued to exceed my expectations.. This plant is still one of the strongest.. and is tallest out of all strains too.. She looks healthy and happy.. so I am confident that this progress will continue. I haven't gotten round to tying this strain down yet but starting to think by the time I get to it she is going to be too sturdy so will see tomorrow how flexible she still is and what I'm able to do with her and then will upload a couple more pics. I'll be honest being an indica dom strain i was expecting her to be wider not as tall as she is so I'm hoping that I am going to be able to get her main tops down atleast as she is already a few Inches shy of 3 ft and has just started with the flowering stretch. All in all though there isn't too much to report at the moment, I'm happy with her progress though so till next time!

So here we are at week 8, the pictures are from d11 of 12/12.. This week progress has continued very well, because of her size though i have had to swap her over and put her in thr sativa tent to try and avoid her outgrowing the other indica dom/hybrid strain so she is under the 600w hps to flower. she hasn't displayed a lot of vertical growth since my last update but this if from being tied down slightly as you can see from the pictures because she seems to have gone really wide.. training hasn't exactly evened her out as planned but she has still exceeded my expectations and so far I can't say anything negative about her. She started showing some signs of mg def but I have added a top dressing of dolomite lime (recommended with biobizz soil) so hopefully that'll sort her out... besides this though she is thriving! Using these grow caps have surprised me if I am honest, this was a given I guess considering I didn't really know what to expect from them, but the fact that this black sugar which is an indica dom strain is my current biggest plant tells me that they are working there magic.. and have my fingers crossed that they continue to do so well she flowers.. really looking forward to it!

So we're on week 3 of 12/12, pictures from d19, I'm not going to lie so far this plant has taken me by surprise, for an indica dom strain she goes huge.. I will update measurements for her today as I haven't done it yet this week.. but if i had stuck to my original plan and vegged for 8 weeks instead of 6, and done as little training on her as I have she would have out grown my tent! Anyway.. so far from my experience with her she seems to be a heavy mg feeder, I have added a top dressing of dolomite lime at the beginning of last week, and it's still showing a deficiency. So will probably give her a feed of Epsom salts in hope that it sorts her out! The pictures don't do her justice but because of the way I tied her down during the flip she has spread out and is almost as wide as she is tall.. the stretch seemed to go well and she is still growing so besides the mg def I'm pretty happy with her upto now!

The pictures for this update were taken yesterday (d26-12/12).. over the past week vertical growth has pretty much come to a halt, I can't say if it's the grow caps or the genetics but this plant turned out to be the biggest out of the new seedsman strains I am running, so it will be interesting to see the difference without using grow caps. She is just under 4ft tall and is about the same in width.. the even canopy didn't go as well as planned but she has done well with making the side branching into more tops so I'm looking forward to seeing the final results of this strain.. she has filled her sites out a little more this week so hopefully now she will start getting fatter and frostier.. I dont know how much longer the caps are going to last for though because given her size and the amount of energy she will be using I'd imagine she will be getting pretty hungry now and I have already noticed some fading lower down so I'm not too sure if they are going to see her through but got my fingers crossed and some biobizz at the ready just in case!

So pics for this update were taken yesterday (d31-12/12) upto know I get the impression this plant is going to take a little longer then I expected.. her buds are starting to stack up now and she is getting frostier but she hasn't quite started fattening up properly yet.. smell is starting to become a little more potent now, it's slightly fruity but also quite skunky, bit like a cheese! As I have mentioned a few times already I really didn't know what to expect from these new grow caps.. upto now she has done pretty well with them, she is a decent size and looks like she is going to finish well but she also looks hungry and I'm really doubting that the grow caps are going to be enough now without a bit of aid

@Larimar, Not really mate I have always used them without any issues , aslong as they go in gently they don't seem to bother the girls! plus they aren't in very deep at all and the plant keeps pulling them out so some point in the next couple of days I will probably take the hooks out and the her down instead!
