Two years old seed

So, I had this two years old seed, sitting in a drawer for almost two years, and decided to give it a try. I've soaked it in plain water with a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide, then left it there for a couple of days. Moved in a peat pellet when I saw the seed opening, it came out after a few days... upside down. Ok, my mistake. Took it off gently, reversed, back in the pellet, another couple of days and it came out. Sort of. The cotyledon leaves were stuck in the seed coat. A few drops of water over it, once every two hours, and finally it came out. A whole week from seed to seedling. Not bad for a two year old guy.
