Missed a few weeks of pics, back in on week 6. Began slowly introducing nutrients at week 4, this is after about 4th time feeding.
Plants were both topped at main nodes in week 4 and LST sideways to begin SCROGing soon.
More vegetative growth, approaching flip to flower soon. Gradually bumping up amount of nutrients. On both plants the lower nodes were topped at day 51 and weaved into SCROG net.
Finally flipped to flower at the end of week 9! Good veg growth going into flip, adjusted SCROG and lowered height of light/turned up wattage to max 135w to start flower. Started using tap water and cut out cal-mag supplement. Tapering off veg nutrients and slowly introducing bloom nutrients.
Fed both plants a compost tea on day 60 out of Nature's Living Soil using 2tsp/gal concentrate and 2tsp/gal unsulfured blackstrap molasses, brewed for 24hrs. They seemed to like it going into flip.
Powering through week 2 of flower, these girls added a lot of height and volume in their stretch phase post-flip. Picked off a lot of foliation covering up lower bud sites. Eating up nutrients like a champ!
So much fun watching the buds develop on these girls. Noticeable weight gain on both plants steadily for the last few weeks. For the entire grow these girls haven't smelled at all, finally they have a faint citrus mixed with gas scent. Trichomes beginning to develop on main buds. Continued defoliation to lower bud sites as needed; gave slight bump in bloom nutes, cut out veg/silica nutes, and began adding Bembe.
Flowers are fattening up nicely! Smell is beginning to become more apparent. A lovely mandarin orange scent with a hint of gas/diesel and pine undertones. Intoxicatingly lovely smell. Trichomes are coming in nicely from top to bottom of the plants.
Fed another compost tea out of NLS and blackstrap molasses, hopefully a tasty meal for the roots!
The leftmost plant is darkening up quite a bit more in its leaves from bottom to top, I suspect it is a different phenotype than the rightmost plant. Will be interesting to see how it develops!
Trichomes and terpenes are really beginning to develop on both of these ladies very nicely. Crushingly strong smell of mandarin oranges is very pleasant! Every bud is coated in a layer of resin that reeks of the terpenes. The leftmost plant definitely appears to be a darker phenotype than the rightmost plant.
Not long before chop now. Cut out Bembe at the end of the week and began tapering off levels of all nutrients to prepare for flushing.
Coming into the last week of flower for these ladies and they've been an absolute pleasure to have in my tent. The whole room reeks of oranges/citrus as soon as you open the tent; I wish I could hang these flowers around the house as air fresheners. Absolutely my favorite terpene profile to date.
Both plants have put on a lovely show of fall colors going into the end of flower. Dark greens have faded into yellows/oranges and deep purples.
I've cut out all remaining nutrients and am just flushing with water until chop day.
Trichomes are roughly 15-20% amber on both plants as of day 111 (48 of flower). We're a little ahead of breeder's timeframe but the pistils and the trichomes are ready.
Finally, plants were harvested on day 112 (49 of flower)!!
An amazing strain from looks to smell to smoke. Easy to grow, handles stress very well, has a very pronounced terpene profile. Crescendo is another amazing product from Ethos, their genetics never disappoint.
Extremely strong orange smell throughout. Flowers are really dense and frosty. Plants responded extremely well in veg to topping, netting, and defoliation. Beautiful orange and purple leaf fade going into harvest. Highly recommend, 10/10 new favorite strain to grow
