I tried seedling pots only once in my life, but with 40+ plants. Had smallest root system ever, they didn't wanted to go through heavily. Plus in that mini extra pot all soil had loads of salts accumulated. I would rip them before transplantation. Good luck in new adventure !

@AsNoriu, 40+ plants? Wow! Thanks for the tip. I'm planning on removing the seedlings from the starter bags into larger pots a couple of times until I get them into their final 7+ gallon air pots. I hate the transplanting process because the coco doesn't hold its form too well but I worked out a process that seems to do the job well enough. We'll see how it goes :-)
