Starting this one back in late Feb, but ran into a lot of trouble with my anxiety meds over the past few months and the diaries had to go on haitus. Still feeling pretty shitty but well enough to start documenting again at least, so 8 weeks are missing. I tried a new germ method using a hydrogen peroxide mixture, and wow she popped in 24 hours and was planted on the end of day 2. For the curious: 1 part H2O2 to 5 parts water for 12 hours.

Planted the seed on day 2 and here we are a week later. Nice looking seedling that didn't overstretch. Ingredients above were mixed at low rates and watered in with lactobacillus and EM1. As previously mentioned, lots of missing time unfortunately so here is a quick run down: Solo cup growth was a bit small but I let her live in it for 3 weeks before transplant. Transplants went off without any issues, added some mycorrhizae to the roots of course. Watered in well with 10ml EM1, LAB Added 2 gallons to the reservoirs week 4 Did a top dress on week 5 with the following ingredients, essentially a Coot's mix with some extras. (Google Clackamas Coot if you're curious) 1/3 cup kelp meal, lobster meal, malted barley, karanja cake 1/2 cup basalt, 1/3 cup gypsum, Oyster Shell flower, bokashi, All Purpose 4 cups seaweed compost / watered in with 1/3rd gallon water and 10ml EM1, LAB, All trimming are put back on top of the soil to decompose. Doing some actual training this time and decided to go with a Nebula manifold for 8 tops. Over the next few weeks, the large fan leaves were cut off to give light to the new tops and used a scrog to spread out the branching. It has since been removed, but will be re-added in flower. I have a CO2 meter now and I was thrilled to find it sits around 550 ambient which is more than enough for veg. Light has been set at a height to allow 700PPFD (using Photone app on Android to measure) until the flip, possibly this Sunday. I'm using the same soil from my previous grow so the soil life has had time to thrive, worms have multiplied and the microscope shows a lot of good activity. She has some nice resin already and my hands are sticky/waxy after trimmings, Never had that before in veg and I'm looking forward to seeing some increased quality on the buds.

Big pre-flower feed last week on Sunday (they had not been fed in 5 weeks). Soil levels had dropped a bit since last grow and the top of the soil was full of worm castings from those hungry little bastards. So I added some more soil with the feed: 2 gallons Fox Farm Happy Frog, 2 cups seaweed compost, rice hulls 1/3 cup kelp meal, lobster meal, malted barley, karanja cake, gypsum, oyster shell flower, Power Bloom 1/2 cup basalt, bokashi Water in with 1/3rd gallon water / 10ml FFJ, EM1, Lacto, 110ml coconut water, 8ml fish hydro, 8ml liquid seaweed She a literal bush and not stretching much at all. Really tight node spacing though and all growth is just...bush lol. Some of the main tops are even getting lost in it but I don't want to do any major leaf strip until week 2.5-3. I might not even get a foot of stretch out of her at this rate, but pistils are starting to show, and health looks great.

A bit boring to watch beside the Grandmommy Purps, she is stretching very slowly and probably won't even hit 25". Typical indica I suppose, great turgor though if you look at pic 2. Tight nodes and still very bushy with that thick as fuck stalk, I'm expecting some fat colas on this one. Flower growth is decent, and a rub of the branches has a nice, although less stronger scent than the GMP. Nothing but dechlorinated water this week, with a big defoliation coming next week.

Barely any stretch at all on this one, and I really should have done a better job of cleaning her up before putting her into flower. Sites are uneven due to her bushiness, and very little stretch. Partly my fault with the other part being the genetics, just a bushy frigging genotype. Either way she is still very healthy and has tight node spacing so I can still hope she produces some fat colas to make up for lack of growth and what is probably going to be a pain when it comes to trimming. She got a small feed of bokashi, EM1, LAB, fish hydro and barley to help through the huge trim trauma. Nice turgor after the trim though.

Slow going for this one, probably because she's a good 13 inches farther from the light than the GMP. Still looking quite healthy, perky and eager otherwise, but not nearly as loud smelling or resinous. Buds look like their going to be short and ball shaped, unlike the cones from the GMP. I might have to find some way to prop the Earthbox up closer to the light. Making fungal compost tea inoculant which should be ready in a few days, I'll be posting microscope shots next week.

Compost tea turned out well and if your curious about the microscopy, check the comments on my GMP grow. No signs of senescence yet so no feed needed, they are in a second run of the same soil so there should be plenty in there from before. Not very resinous or smelly, with weird wide stumpy buds. Definitely my least fav pheno of any plant I've grown so far, but it's the end product we're after so she may yet surprise.

The bud structure on this cultivar is weird...some of the buds are 2 inches wide but they grow like half spheres. After checking the Nirvana website and looking at the info, this is apparently normal. The smells and resin have finally started to pick up and are starting to lean heavily towards myrcene skunk musk. I think this one is going to go longer than the Grandmommy Purps. Nice fat trichome heads though=) Last feeding of Bokashi, malted barley and FFJ to help her finish. No signs of senescence yet.

Missed uploading on week 16, but she hasn't been too exciting to look at until now anyway. Some of these buds are FAT, like 2 inch golf balls fat, and she's really starting to stank like skunk. Really some of the most bizarrely shaped buds I've grown. If I grow this one again I will definitely be prepared next time and defoliate/train her properly next time.

Cutting her a week early because the GMP is done and I don't have the space to keep her going. Still, she absolutely reeks of skunk now and the buds are bigger than golf balls, pretty heavy and feel dense.

Not too bad when it came to weight in the end for such a small plant. Buds are super fat and dense, but not big on terps and resin after the dry period. After 9 weeks I could have easily gone another week or two but I needed to chop her for space reasons and my other grow being well on it's way. In the future I would definitely trim and train her a lot harder as I was not prepared for how little and bushy she got.
