Dessert Isle #1 Night Owl

The_Botanist_1969 - plant looks great & is growing fast - in solo cup for 6 days, transplanted to 5 gallon earthroots fabric pot with living soil liner on day 7 - used black swallow KIS mix with about 5% extra pumice - top 1/2 of pots are 1/3 coco & about 4 cups of worm castings - top dressed with some frass & bokashi, then used rice husks as a mulch - used 1 TSP dynamyco into hole plant was going into - slowly watered with a garden sprayer, no run off but the pot feels heavy - light was on 35% hanging 26 inches above solo cup - turned up to 50% at 26 inches after transplant - first time using the sp3000, great light for my 2x4 just need to get used to it - using a humidifier & a small heater on low for temp/humidity 81-85 T 60-65 H - have an oscillating fan in the tent - a/c infinity 4 inch speed control exhaust fan on 2nd setting (it’s amazing) - enjoy everyday

The_Botanist_1969 - watered twice Sunday & Thursday - Sunday 4 ml golden tree, 1/4 tsp cal/mag 1 gal RO water, just under 2 gals for 3 plants, used garden sprayer, watered slowly, no run off - Thursday 1/2 tsp humates, 1/4 tsp cal/mag, 1 gal RO water, 1 gal between 3 plants, sprayer, slow, no run off - light on 50% power - looking great so far

The_Botanist_1969 - Tuesday watered with 5ml fish shit, 1/4 TSP cal/mag 1 gal RO water between 3 plants - Friday Too dressed with 5 TBSP worm castings, Watered with 1 TBSP humates 1 gal RO water between 3 plants - no run off, water until all pots feel heavy - tucked some leafs under to expose more bud sites, going to defoliate a little next week - growing fast & looking good (I think) Peace, love & happy growing Enjoy everyday

The_Botanist_1969 Friday Day 21 - had to take off some big fan leaves to open up more bud sites & provide better air flow through the plant (was worried thinking it might stress the auto but she bounced right back & might need 1 more defoliation soon) - top dressed with 5 tbsp of worm castings - watered 1 gal RO water mixed with 1 tbsp humates (1/3 gal), no run off - made sure light 24 inches above & turned it up to 75% Tuesday Day 25 - 1 gal RO water with 5 ml golden tree & 1/4 tsp cal/mag (1/3 gal) no run off - raised light 2 inches to keep it 24 inches above - moved her to opposite side of tent for even light/air flow - showing signs of flowering now Thursday Day 27 - had to defoliated some more big fan leaves - watered, 1 gal RO with 1 tbsp humates, 1/4 tsp yucca powder (1/2 gal) no run off she’s drinking more now Only issue is heat getting up to 85 at times, working on keeping high end between 80-83

The_Botanist_1969 Day 30 - Watered with 5 ml golden tree, 1/4 tsp cal/mag to 1 gal RO water Plant drank just under a gal Used turkey baster to put small amount of overflow back into pot Day 33 - Moved her to the A/C infinity 4x4 with a spider farmer sf4000, 6 inch T series A/C infinity fan, oscillating tower fan, small hurricane fan blowing on top of light set to come on with it, small humidifier (off for now) - light set at 75% power & is 26 inches above plant - T - 70 night 78-9 day H - 50-60% Day 34 - just under a gal of RO water

The_Botanist_1969 Day 37 Watered with 5ml fish shit & 1/4 tsp cal/mag per 1 gal RO water, used 1 gal Day 40 Top dressed with 5 tbsp Gia green bloom, watered in with just under 1 gal RO water Day 42 Top dressed with 1 solo cup worm castings, watered in with 5 ml golden tree to 1 gal RO, just under 1 gal Next run I’ll use more nitrogen earlier as she is a little light & looks like she can handle more nutrients (no real problem, the buds look/smell great just looks like she can handle some more veg nutes) Has a very dank/thick smell that is starting to get an almost rotten fruit scent towards the end of the week (I mean that in the best way 😉)

The_Botanist_1969 Day 45 watered with 1 gal RO water, used the whole gal, used baster to add the small amount of runoff back into pot Day 47 used 5 ml fish shit to 1 gal RO, added whole gal Smell is much stronger & sweeter with rotten fruit mixed in Other than the light Colour she’s a beauty

The_Botanist_1969 Day 49 Top dressed with 4 tbsp Gia green power bloom, watered in with 1 gal RO water Day 52 Watered 1 gal RO mixed with 5 ml golden tree Day 55 Watered 1 gal RO water mixed with 1/4 tsp cal/mag & 1/2 tsp of 0-0-15 bloom juice (organic kelp powder) Smell is strong, cannabis scent with a sweet/fruity smell mixed in Will use more veg nutes next run as the leaves are yellowing early, buds look nice & are frosting up everyday though

The_Botanist_1969 - Starting to get some very cool shades of purple & pink mixed in with the yellow - watered twice this week with about 1 tbsp molasses to 1 gal RO, only molasses from now on - smell is amazing, heavy on the fruity overtone, like a skunk wearing a mango muffin cologne (my nose isn’t the best as most cannabis smells a bit skunky to me) - thinking she’ll be done in another week or two - loving this strain & the lessons I’m learning about her, next run I’m sure I’ll be able to get frostier, bigger buds, that said I’m real happy & look forward to a taste test when she’s done - happy growing, enjoy everyday

The_Botanist_1969 - such amazing colours - buds are filling in nice & the fade is amazing - smells like good cannabis with a distinct sweet/fruity smell, like someone threw an overripe mango into the pot jar - only RO water & molasses, approx 1 tbsp per gal, watered 3 times this week - all the tricombs are cloudy & she’ll be coming down in a matter of days - very happy with this strain as I know she can handle a heavier dose of organic nutrients & will only be better next run - amazing genetics, perfect size for the 4x4, I’d say a nice medium sized plant with great bud to leaf ratio

The_Botanist_1969 - watered with 1 gal RO water twice - Cut down in day 75 - hung whole plant in tent, have small fan under plant & a small fan above, neither are blowing on the plant, just moving the air, using a 6 inc a/c infinity exhaust fan set on 6-7 - temp between 65-70 (can’t get it any lower, would like to get 60) - humidity is 60-67 (aiming for 60 but it’s a humid heat wave here & I’m having trouble keeping it down, added a small oscillating fan below & a small dehumidifier 🤞) - plant looks great & smells like a funky overripe mango - hoping to hang for at least 10 days

The_Botanist_1969 Very happy with my final numbers. Smoked a tester joint & it was great. First time in the grove bags & I can’t wait to see how it is with a good cure time.
