Welcome to week one of my 2022 summer outdoor photoperied run. The goal is to grow a Quebec blue and an AK47 directly in the ground in my garden. I actually popped 4 seeds.. 2 of each strain. The extra 2 are for my dad's garden and will not be a part of this diary. I plan to feed mostly with organic fish/aquamarine nutrients throughout the summer; all this content will be pulled from a great lake and a trout factory... I'm trying something new! I included a photo of a wheelbarrow full of zebra muscle shells, minnows, seaweed, silt, and all kinds of other organic content that I have access to.. I don't know how I'm going to make it work.. but I will 🤣 I started them indoors inside my tent. I germinated the seeds by putting them directly in a cup of organic soil and leaving them under a heat lamp for a few days. All 4 have finally 'broke ground'. I will have the light down to 14 hours a day when I bring them outside in a week or two. I'll keep them in their original container for a few days in the shade before I put them directly in the ground.

I'm just giving water to the point of run off inside the cups. They will be put down to 15 hours of light this week as I plan on bringing them outside this weekend. When I bring then outside they will stay in the shade for 2 days to help them get used to the intensity of the sun. After that I will put them directly in the ground.

I took them out of the tent on May 25th and I put them outside in the shade for about 2 days before transplanting directly into the ground. I added compost and mycorrhizae into the hole at the same time. I also used liquid mycorrhizae when I watered them directly after the transplant. I will start feeding in 7-10 days after the transplant

After a few really wet weeks, these two ladies seem to have settled in to their permanent home in the ground. I prepared manure, silica sand, super soil, & dry ammend 5-5-5 organic nutrient blend all together and topped my plants with it. I also watered in a fish emulsion liquid fertilizer for an additional boost of nutrition for thr microbiological activity in my soil

At this point I've been focusing most my attention to battling pests in my garden. Considering I'm an indoor gardener, I'm open for suggestions for anyone who has some. Just topped them for the second time Organic feeding

It's been a steady week. I've been foliar spraying with a Safers 3 in 1 to combat the pests in my garden; it's been fairly successful. I added CalMag this week and I'm really happy with my decision. The plants are growing at an insane rate of at least 2 inches a day... aside from minor pest damage they are in fairly good shape. Will top or "FIM" again once more, probably next week... that will be the third round of topping.

These girls are growing like crazy. At this point I'm seeing a lot of new nodes and the growth is quite amazing to watch. Adding CalMag was the best decision I have made this year. The insecticide I've been using has been helping, the pest situation is under control. I decided to only top/ FIM twice. I was happy enough with the results after the second round I didn't see a need for a third.

One of my plants may be starting to show signs of sex but it's still really early. This will probably be the last vegetation week for this grow. These girls are about 6 feet tall at this point and are really filling out. The organic nutrients in the soil are starting to break down pretty nicely, they look really healthy. I will slowly remove fan leaves thru the month of August. The quebec blue has a strong smell to her already. The autoflower in the one picture is a blackstrap auto by Gnome Automatics 💪💪💪

These girls are doing pretty well... There's been a lot of heavy rain, high humidity and above average day time temperatures.. defoliating seemed like a good idea. I opened up the bottom of each plant and took off a lot of the big fan leaves.

These girls are wild They have received a pretty decent round of defoliation to help get some air and light to the inside of the plants. I have been adding bamboo sticks everywhere in the past few weeks to help support them. I plan on adding fish hooks at the end of August for security purposes .. pictues will follow
