Royal Runtz, OG Kush, Northern Lights

squirtle42 This week, the plants have gained a lot of size, but they still have slight discolorations on some leaves. I started using BioBizz BioGrow & BioHeaven according to schedule this week, and the plants are in a mix of regular seedling soil and BioBizz AllMix. Questions: What could the discolorations on the leaves be, and what can I do about it? When should I start topping? Now or after I put them in the final 14L pots?

squirtle42 This week I’ve transplanted the plants into their final 14L pots. Meanwhile I’ve topped one of each strain. Some of the plants have doubled in size and all of them have grown many new leaves.

squirtle42 German: Einige Pflanzen haben schöne Triebe entwickelt, andere hingegen hängen ein wenig hinterher. Ich habe diese Woche noch ein paar große Blätter entfernt und einige Triebe herunter gebogen. Ich würde mich über Tipps freuen, da dies mein erster Grow ist und ich möglichst viel lernen will, damit es nächstes mal besser läuft. English: Almost all plant have grown some nice healthy shoots, others are a bit behind. This week I‘ve defoliated a bit more and started LSTing the strong branches. Since I‘m a noob grower, I would much appreciate if you guys could give me some Tips. S maybe the next run is a bit more equally.

squirtle42 Plants have increased significantly both in size and density this week, although there are still latecomers (Royal Runtz #3 & OG Kush #2). Two days ago I've changed the light schedule to 12/12 and gave them the extra bloom nutrients, to bring them into flower. I'm already having problems with the space, because I clearly underestimated the growth and may even have to "kick" a plant out of the tent.

squirtle42 German: Diese Woche sind die ein oder anderen Triebe ein wenig mehr in die Höhe geschossen und zeigen die ersten Anzeichen der Blütenentwicklung. Auch sind die Pflanzen durstiger geworden, sodass ich nun 2x wöchentlich ca. 2L gedünntes Wasser gieße. Update (26.06): Die OG Kush#3 hat leider angefangen zu zwittern, allerdings denke ich, dass ich dies früh genug bemerkt habe. Immerhin habe ich nun nicht mehr soo Platz Probleme. Da ich heute bemerkt habe, dass ich knapp 30°C im Zelt habe wechsel ich die Licht Zeit auf Nachts. English: This week some shoots have shot up a little more and are showing the first signs of bud development. The plants have also become thirstier, so I now water about 2 liters of diluted water twice a week. Update (26.06): The OG Kush#3 has unfortunately started to hermaphrodite, but I think I noticed that soon enough. At least I don't have that much of a space problem anymore. Since I've noticed that it's almost 86°F in the tent, so I change the light time to night.

squirtle42 German: Seit dem letzten Update ist nicht viel passiert. Der ein oder andere Trieb ist noch ein wenig in der Höhe gewachsen. English: Not much has happened since the last update. Some shoots have grown a little in height.

squirtle42 (06.07) This week the plants have regained a lot of leaf and bud mass. Some already started caking up some of their sugar leaves. Northern Light#2 caught up with Royal Runtz#1 in size this week and is now the biggest in the tent. In the meantime I've got space problems again, next time I'll probably be going with 5 plants.

squirtle42 The buds are getting thicker and thicker, the tent unfortunately emptier and emptier. Unfortunately, last weekend I had to ''kick out'' half my tent, because now all OG Kush plants, as well as the Royal Runtz#1 (the biggest one😓) are hermaphrodite. At least, the other plants are doing well. They now have more space than ever and they use it happily. I also started adding CalMag on July 13th because I have very soft water in my area.

squirtle42 German: Auch diese Woche sind die Bud wieder dicker geworden und haben die Harzproduktion hoch gefahren. Aktuell ist es sehr warm mit Außentemperaturen von ca. 40°C und im Zelt von bis zu 31.5°C, hoffentlich wird es bald wieder kühler. Aufgrund der heißen Temperaturen musste ich die Pflanzen täglich gießen (sonst reicht alle 2-3 Tage). Ich versuche täglich ein paar Blätter und unterentwickelte Budsights zu entfernen, um die Pflanze nicht noch mehr zu stressen. English: This week the buds have become thicker again and have sped up the resin production. It is currently very warm with outside temperatures of approx. 40°C (104°F) and up to 31.5°C (88.7°F) in the tent, hopefully it will get cooler soon. Due to the hot temperatures I had to water the plants every day (otherwise every 2-3 days is enough). I try to remove a few leaves and underdeveloped budsights daily to avoid stressing the plant even more.

squirtle42 The buds are already covered in terpenes, which are now starting to turn milky to amber-colored. The temperatures have cooled down a bit again, but are still on the higher end of the scale. I tried taking pictures of the terpenes with a smartphone microscope lens, which had rather moderate success. I also tried taking pictures with a more professional camera this week.

squirtle42 Since it has been very warm lately, at times up to 31.9°C in the tent, the plants look very thirsty. But the plants still look healthy despite the heat. It also smells wonderful in the tent now. Since the Northern Light from RoyalQueenSeeds is listed as having a flowering time of 7-8 weeks and the Royal Runtz is 8-9 weeks, I naturally wonder (as a beginner) when it will be time. I also made a Grow Question with moderately good terpene pictures for that.

squirtle42 This week I flushed the Royal Runtz #3 thoroughly with pure water (since its leaves showed a strong nutrient excess) and watered the usual plants with pure water. Since I plan to harvest soon, I will probably water with clear water 1-2 more times next week and then initiate a 48-hour dark phase by the weekend. Questions: I researched online and came across Ice Water Flushing. Does anyone know if it really helps or if it might be beneficial, especially in generally hotter temperatures? Sorry for the missing update last week.

squirtle42 This week I only watered again, last time I adjusted the pH a bit with a ''finger tip'' organic pH. The Northern Light #1 currently shows the most amber-colored trichomes, but I will probably have to harvest all the plants at the same time since I only have one tent and I'm worried about the smell. In the tent, it smells wonderful like lemon/lime/melissa & very sweet. I hope I can get in there in about a week ✂️ The Northern Light #1 shows strong discoloration on almost all the leaves; I started a grow question about it.

squirtle42 I had a pretty high-yielding plant with Northern Lights #2, but I expected more from her sister. Still satisfied with my first grow though :D
