Hello, please see my week 1! Is this the vegetative stage now? Should I now start feeding rather than just water? Ive got a white widow auto using bio biz light mix. I've got the bio biz nutes (grow, bloom, top max and fish). Do I use fish or grow or both?

I have the viparspectra xs1000 light. I turned up to 50% intensity and plant is about 30cm from canopy. Is that right for early vegetation stage? It looks healthy to me but could be wrong. Was going to turn up to 75% later, then 100% for flower. Do I need to move closer the light?

Hello Beccabud Your plant is doing great, I would put the light up to 50 cm and turn it up to 100%. As it gets bigger it will be able to handle more light and grow into it. from your par charts 38cm from the canopy seems like the sweet spot. I would recommend starting some LST to start getting some of the inner branches growing out for your scrog net. Happy Growing

Looking for advice on how to use a SCROG auto. Bought one to try LST but confused how it works. Looking at videos people just seem to squash on top during veg. Am I too late/early with it? Does it just grow into it or do I need to use the tie down method TOO? Doesnt look right :/

Hey Beccabud, Your not to late to do some LST, make sure your bend her down to the left or right, do this carefully, by doing this your lower nodes will get exposed to the light and grow better/faster. When these nodes(branches) are big enough, you can start to tight them eighter with dread to your pots or on your scrog net :) Goodluck growing :)

I have tried LSTing and tied down the stem to the pot. I also have a scrog net to help with pushing some of the leaves down and I have tucked them. Does this look right? I feel like I need to also remove some leaves to help but don't want to damage it as its an auto. thanks

Hey Beccabud, Looks fine to me :) make sure you bend your upper branches up in the comming weeks and your lower ones more down if you understand what i mean. By doing this you get a nice big cantopy :) Goodluck growing :)

Advice please just on wether it's looking healthy. :) I've been too careful with watering and some leaves turned yellow. Feeding 1 litre every other day but maybe that's too little? Stopped with the Biobiz fish and switch to growbloom. Leaves at the top look droopy still?

Definitely nitrogen overdose, feeding every secod day is waaay too often in soil. In soil it is plain water/plain water/feed/plain water/plain water/feed............ so that your plants are only being fed every 10-14 days, which is plenty. Autos also usually do just fine on half strength nutrients. I would drop all/any "grow" type nutrients anmd only give the Bio-Bloom from here on. I would also suggest not feeding anything for 7-10 days, the plants need to use up what is already in the soil before any new nutrients are added. The drooping leaves are a sign of nitrogen toxicity by the way, as is the uber green colour. The yellow leaves in pic 3 are just because they have been overlapping and shaded, they definitely do not need extra feeding! Hope this helps, Organoman.

Are the leaves still too dark and should I be flushing more? Just worried I've ruined the growth with the overfeeding of nutes now 😓. It seems small but I guess there's still few more weeks to go? Also for nest time am I supposed to remove the lower smaller buds? Thanks 🌈

yeah as we all know leaves dont change color. they dont yellow when starved or near the end lol chlorophyll is destroyed during photosynthesis and replenished by the plant as fast as its being destroyed. in abundance of nutrients the speed of replenishment increases but so does the free ions inside the cells which also damages these cells. chlorophyll is synthesized from nitrogen and magnesium by the plants. so in absence of these molecules replenishment speed decreases and plant gets lighter in color.

Am I supposed to be seeing trichomes at this stage? Worried that me overloading with nitrogen in earlier weeks has prevented this? Giving just bio bloom at half dose recommended by bio Biz schedule and top max once a week and watering every other day in between

Eh, well, depends what kind of trichomes u are talking about. If you are taking about the pre flower, (bud formings) you will see them fairly early in most cases. But if you talking about sugar leafs & trichomes to the eye. Well, it really does depend on the strain. My strawberry gorilla started early. As did my banana purple punch under my SF light but didn't see it as early as in the 1 under my p1000. Much denser buds. And on my kosher I am actually only starting to c heavy frosting now. And that is the case with most koshers I've checked. Does depend on the strain and your spec of light. And just straight genes of that seed. Good luck she should get frosty thru sub ripe and after. Good luck
