Ok so I received 3 free seeds from Herbie's when I purchased Northern Lights 5seeds & Do Si Do's OG 5+2 free seeds. 15 total, got to choose which strain I wanted as well from around 5 or 6 strains photos or autos. I chose GG fem as I've read great things about it , it also ties in with the rest of the grow, similar in size, harvest time 8-9weeks & is also a big yielder & another very high in thc levels 28%+ of ultra sticky resiny buds, can't wait! I think I've got 3 pretty killer strains here.
Hello gromie's & welcome , only 1 seed out of two sprouted from the jiffy starter although both seeds had germinated in wet paper towel first. Germinated on 26-5-22 , sprouted on 29-5-22, today 6-6-22 8days old , going well & have started on very light nutrient feeding in small amounts hand watering at the moment , have started to try & germinate the last GG seed but the seed is tiny half the size of normal seed or smaller, don't know if this will affect it germinating or not. Untill next week good vibes & sweet HIGH'S😏👍🤤
Hi Gromie's ,The GG seedling is going well have started Automated feedings, 6 times a day, every 4 hours for 15 minutes at a time at end of 2nd week. Until next week take care Gromie's.👍
Hello , GG going well , have upgraded light to a Mars Hydro Fce 4800, 480w . Great fit for my 1m X 1m tent. Currently dimmed down to 150w. Good quality build, looking forward to see what it can do. Increased nutes & feedings to every 2 hours for 15 minutes, will start Lst this week. Till next time , smoke up Gromie's 🤙🤘
Hi Gromie's , topped her this week & have started main lining her, has taken well to training. Lowered light & turned it up to 50% . Catch you next week 😃👍
Hi Gromie's, upped nutrients & turned light up to 75% (360w) which has helped raise the temperature to 22-24°c. Have had really good growth this week have topped a 2nd time and training branches , using nebula haze's (grow weed easy.com) mainlining method keeping the first & 3rd node's. Untill next week 👍☮️
GG has been going well, a lot of growth this week, continue to tie her down , really good structure on her. Taken a few cuttings to clone, flipping to flower.👏🤞👍
Busy week getting the new setup going. GG is going really good has taken to training well. Expecting a bit of stretching off her in flowering. Can notice the sativa traits in her with more distance between nodes, and her slimmer sativa type leaves . Have noticed how sticky she's starting to get when training her, left with sticky resin coated fingers😋 she's a nice plant
Missed a few weeks due to I.T. issues. GG is going great now in the end of 6th week of flower super frosty & super sticky smells like the smell you get while eating a mango absolutely awesome smell.
Week 9 of flower, not sure what happened but she reached a certain point & didn't really developed any more after that. leaves are brown because the drip feeder was blocked &she didn't get watered for 2 days, she used up all the moisture out of the leaves & they dried up
Even though the buds didn't develop properly & are airy & fluffy she still smokes pretty well. It has a fruity smell to it like mango & is a very smooth nice tasting smoke it just lacks a bit of bag appeal.
Hey there friend. Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit.
I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily.

For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1.
This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil.

As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully.
So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own. If this interests you please check out our youtube and subscribe. The first 2 episodes are out the next one is coming in a few days. If you should ever have any questions or need any help, Please feel free to follow my profile and shoot me a DM. I will gladly help you with the pull down & make sure you get the best quality harvest possible as it is the most important step of the entire process.
Happy growing friend!
@HIAZ_urbanbudfarmer, No problem friend. Check out our tutorial series which has just concluded on youtube & subscribe the next series will be starting soon. Our tutorial diary just completed as well that accompanies it.
That sucks about the drip feed man! These things happen we must learn from them and improve, That is the true definition of being a grower. Don't let it get you down
