Transplanted plant 1 into 1 gallon pot. Began LST. Orange cream scent left on fingers. / Plant 2 doesn't seem fond of Fox Farm Ocean Forest, probably to hot. Leaves yellowed a bit. Moved away from lights as well. Improved w/ less intense light. Still Slow. Topped.
Plant #1 , Continued LST to fill planter rim. Topped a few more sites. Defoliated. Started feeding Fox Farm Grow Big and Big Bloom at 25% reccomended strength. 2 of 4 T5 Light bulbs died on first day on week. Replaced by end of week. Plant #2 is still slow, but continues to grow. Will tolerate it until flowering.
This week I learned my lights were not going off. At all. I though I was running 18-6 but due to a timer (user error) issue, they were still on 24 hours a day. This was discovered midweek and remedied to three days of 18-6. Plant showed noticeable new growth with rest. Started feeding open sesame in preparation of flowering nexrt week. Light was replaced from Vivosun and have 4 working T5 bulbs again.
Plant 2 has been repotted on a fun trellis and relegated to vegging 18-6 and will become back porch decor when temps stay over 50 degrees overnight. Plant 1 is thriving in first week of flowering. Made a trellis for SCROG with broken baby gate. Plant under 400 w HPS.
Plant One : First pistil appeared. Confirmed female. Spread growth through out trellis. Defoliated a bit. Built a hose and feed syphon from an old hydro t-joint and tubing to make watering easier. Removed LST ties. Plant Two:
Still vegging slowly on trellis. 18-6. Spotted a mutant leaf.
Plant 1: Pre flowers started showing up in mass. Defoliated a bit. Plant has begun to lift and support the trellis a tad. Fed 2x nutes annd 1 x h20. Plant 2: Moved outside. 68 and rainy most of the week. Plant loves it.
Plant One : Filled out with white pistils. Spotted and Removed approx 3-5 what looked like herm/male pollen sacs in early development. Monitored for more, but nothing found. Plant Two: thriving outside. Slow to grow, but on par for this plants behavior.
Plant One : Flower sites filled in and thickened up a good bit. White pisitils started orangeing. Resin production beginning to appear. Faint odor when touching branches. Flushed. Ph Nutrient H20 in 6.2 out 5.12. Will raise a bit.
Plant Two: Outdoor plant loving life.
Plant One : Light odor of cheesey citrus when touching branches and sugar leaves. Trichomes accumulating. Checked runoff ph after watering. 4.8 ph, Flushed with 2 gallons 8.1ph h20. Last bit of runoff ph after flush was at 5.3ph.
Plant Two : Thriving outside. 50 degree overnight temps, daily rain for an hour, bright sun. Daytime temps 65-78. Defoliated and tucked.
Plant One : Buds are swelling, trichomes are accumulating, Citrusy odor more pronounced, almost grapefruit like. Measured PH runoff water, back in line.
Plant Two : Serving it's purpose as outside decor. Thriving, still vegging. Colder nights, more rain.
Plant One : Starting to smell like grapefruit, garlic citrus meat marinade, creamy orange. Buds starting to swell. Allowed soil to dry out as leaves were droopy from a bit much water. Perked back up after an extra dry day . Final feeding. Begin water only. Some minor fade & yellowing beginning. 73 degree lows 91 degree high.
Plant Two : Good outdoor decor. Hardy and thriving. Still vegging. No signs of sex yet.
Plant One: Continued flushing with ph'd water only. Nice withering and yellowing happening throughout the older fan leaves. Kept temps cool 68-81, 25% Rh. Spicy Black Pepper & Orange terps abound. Cloudy, Milky trichomes throughout.
Plant Two: Well, it was going to just be bonsia patio decor after it's poor performance in veg, but after living 9 weeks out doors in cold, wet 9000 ft mountain monsoon conditions, it's thriving. Going to flower it since space is available for the next few weeks. Fed for the first time since 6-19-22. Started at Week One Fox Farm feeding schedule. Same everything as plant one but with some cal mag. PH water in 6.9 water out PH 6.4.
Overall, the purpose of this grow was to establish my grow room and learn it's conditions over time. I've been able to tweek it to my liking and have figured out pain points, like heat and how to address them. At 9000 feet, and no AC, I have cool mornings so I open the doors and windows and let the cool air in to reduce the temps and give the lights a deficit to warm up from. Starting the day at 68-72 keeps the lights at 85 at the hottest point. Tropaya strain was alright. Nothing really impressive to grow. Noticed some minor herming at week 4 but didn't get out of control. Didn't notice seeds while harvesting. This was grown from bagseed so herming is no surprise. Terp profile was Orangey Citrusy and Garlicky making me think this could have been pollinated by a herm GMO from the grow I got the Tropaya in. Lavender and Fuel terps during harvest. 102 grams wet from 1 gallon pot. .25 grams per watt gives a good benchmark to surpass. Fresh Frozen. Will make bubble hash when the weather is cold outside. Will update then.
@Psilocubensis, I'm not sure the mm size I used, but they are relatively small. The water flows with very little resistance, more than a drip but doesn't just flood out instantly.
