Germed very fast. Had them at the bottom of my grow tent, but the light was not enough and they started stretching. Planted them directly into the pot under a more powerful CFL light.
Plants continuing well. Not too big after first week, but in a large pot, that is to be expected. The growth explosion will come later.
15/6 update: Very fast progress. Two nodes in, working on third. Both roughly in the same stage, though the one that stretched more is a little smaller. Will be interesting (and maybe painful) to see how the effects of early stretching (and my lack of diligence) trickle down to later stages of growth.
Also, some leaves are a bit shriveled - idiot me has realized I've not been adjusting my PH for coco, so likely from too high PH. I've adjusted it down, they will be fine I'm sure.
Topped above 5th node on both. Doing a bit of LST, mostly to direct plants to take up their respective halves of the tent.
Increased the number of fertigations from 5 to 6, since the days have been hot. Feeding schedule stays the same. Will likely increase the dose of fulvic and humic acids in the next week to help the girls deal with high heat a little better.
Forgot to add week 4, and adding week 5 later as I was on vacation.
The timing of the vacation was not ideal, as I missed out an important part of the growth - the flowering stretch. I wish I could have been there to defoliate the lower branches in time, as they grew out too fast and are now quite long and lanky. I have defoliated what I could have though and will be resuming defoliation next week likely.
The plant is very healthy imo, unfortunately the thrips infestation is still ongoing, though a very small part of the plant is affected. I've applied some more neem oil, but will be buying and applying spinosad as I've read it is very effective and can be used throughout flowering too. Will be scrogging the plant this week as well to better manage the massive growth.
Nutrients wise - I have dropped silicon as the largest part of vegetation growth has been done, and have now started adding canna boost.
Entering week 6, been doing plenty of defoliation as the plants are massive now and growing like crazy.
Added new light, Mars Hydro TS-600 (100W).
Cannot see any signs of thrips, but will be applying more spinosad this week just to be sure.
Added a ScrOG.
Feeding schedule staying the same.
