Well I found out what happened to the plant. Took forever to get the footage but I finally did. Windy Day + Forgot To Water = Plants Blown Over The Edge I also moved the other plant inside to see if it will do any better vs outside in the cold wet weather, stringed up some other lights and will update this soon. Just wanted to get the main pic of the missing plant up and my disappointment for the side by side contest. Given the outcome of the Dynomyco contest I will not be giving them credit for anything and will remove all branding in this contest. They have picked a diary that did not adhere to the rules they set in place then they arbitrarily changed the rules.... Sick of this shit from companies and grow diaries. The diary they picked as #1 is a joke, it does not showcase the product at all. Its a good looking plant but it does not tick any of the boxes for the contest. From the contest page. The selected growers are required to do the following: post updates of their plants to the forum – GROW JOURNAL SECTION - twice a week and tag "DYNOMYCO SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT " Upload your side-by-side photos includes: Your application of DYNOMYCO into your growing mediums At every transplant, you MUST snap root pics, General pictures of your plants (stem, leaves, and plant health) At harvest time we want to see those rootballs!! A minimum of 2 plants For your side-by-side you must use cuttings from the same strain Not once did the "winner" tag Dynomyco show us what you got as requested in the rules in the diary or any comment on the diary. Nor did they mention this was a comparative grow using Dynomyco. They called the diary side by side and that's it no other communication. They did not document every transplant, and the one they did do was one single photo. "pics" as in plural as per contest rules. They did not use clones/cuttings from the same strain as was the contest requirements, Over all a complete shit show and I would not recommend using this product if you use any form of phosphorous fertilizer It will not add anything for your grow. Zero application outside of soil based grows in the earth, not a pot. Just wasted money, More on the phosphorous below: Fungi and Mycorrhizae find excess phosphorous toxic and they do not come out of their spore state to form beneficial relationships with the roots. https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/403/2015/03/mycorrhizae.pdf [But by far the most damaging to mycorrhizal health is excessive fertilizer application, especially of those containing phosphate; this includes composted manure and many soilless potting mixes. With a plethora of nutrients, plants are less dependent on mycorrhizae, and competitive free-living microbes thrive in nutrient-rich soils. Mycorrhizal fungi retreat into the shadows, remaining inactive until more hospitable soil conditions return.] https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/403/2015/03/phosphate.pdf [Moreover, it has been experimentally demonstrated that high levels of phosphorus are detrimental to mycorrhizal health and lower the rate of mycorrhizal infection of root systems. This mutually beneficial relationship between the fungus and the plant roots allows the plant to more effectively explore the soil environment and extract needed nutrients. In the absence of mycorrhizae, the plant must expend more energy growing additional roots and root hairs to accomplish the same task.] https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/403/2015/03/phosphate-2.pdf [Numerous studies have demonstrated that roses, like most terrestrial plants, maintain symbiotic relationships with beneficial fungi. If you add phosphate to your rose plants, you will decrease the ability of mycorrhizal fungi to colonize the rose roots. Without these fungal partners, rose roots must work harder to extract water and nutrients from the soil. Moreover, this excess phosphate is injurious to other soil organisms. With increased fertilizer additions, soil salinity increases. You have now created an artificial system in which soil health is so impacted that you must continue to add fertilizer for your plants to survive.]

This is my diary entry into the Dynomyco Show Us What You Got Contest! #DynomycoShowUsWhatYouGot! @DynomycoShowUsWhatYouGot! Big Shoutout to @Dynomyco for picking me in their contest. Happy to be involved and as a user of Dynomyco I am curious to see this side by side with my own eyes. I will be honest I am a little skeptical it will show any major differences. but we will see what happens. Some disclaimers, I am still using LABS serum I made as well as MIIM Miicrobial Mass. These are also beneficial to the root mass however they are bacteria based and not fungal or mycorrhizae like Dynomyco. growdiaries.com/giveaways/DYNOMYCO_Show_Us_What_You_Got

@CombatCat, I'm in a big city everyone can see everything if your looking for it. Oddly enough people normally wait till they are ready for harvest before they steal em. I would have liked if they just asked for some cuttings or something. I'm really hoping it was one of my neighbours and I can just go knock on the door and grab it. our buildings are all super close so that's the one making the most sense to me right now.

Birds eat your plants ? Maybe put some flashy ribbon or a nice shiny wind toy. Birds hate shiny moving objects . They definitely look ready for transplanting. Curios if the root system looks the same on both plants .

@m0use, I was definitely being silly . Thank you for actually having respect for your neighborhood! Starlings do have a distress call. Sounds a tad cruel but this time I'm serious. Tack or tape either a sticky trap for mice or a yellow sticky card for gnats. Bird gets stuck. Freaks out starts yelling danger . Works with mice and rats too. A day later let them go . They definitely tell all thiere buddies about bad situation.

Not quite , but it's sort of like loosing a pet . I feel awful about the loss. Grow rips still happen. Fucking idiots ! Happened to me in the past too many times . Glad one plant survived. I'm really curious how this Cherry Pie cut finishes and taste .

At least it was someone hot that found it. Still a pity it was blew off. Sry bout the contest. A seed comp, stop, makes me laugh at just how silly the whole comp was. Seems the person with the most viewership wins again huh m0use

@m0use, just seen it in black & white. Cuttings from the same strain.. what a joke. Grrrr. I'm fumming for you. Sry..happened to me with you on GOTM, I know its not, the same. But the same thing hap to me, with yourself. I got 1st and then they took it away from me, still hurted.. but in no way can you compare it. It looks like neither could GD/DYNO compare the grows that actually followed the rules. Sorry m0use. GFS is next. That's for cashola. Good luck I'd probably take that diary down to spite them. Let them keep their prize.. But then again. Its a diary for com so. Keep it actually..I would just be thinking of it.

Wow, she's a big one. No chance of her going missing...... really nice and healthy. Great pics & diary. Really done Dymaco justice.... have to give it a try looking at these results thus far. Enjoy the rest of your grow.... and hope you pull some killer colas off her. 🌱🌿

Very sad😭..., Try putting a camera, even a fake one, I could would understand that someone took a one small bud from the bottom of the plant, but this is really.... People have no idea that someone put money, TIME and lot of love in it. Good luck with the rest of your grows.
m0use
m0usecommented2 years ago
@Ancient_Genetics, Thanks for the love! The main problem with fake cameras on a building you do not own is legality. Especially if it points into a public space. There is a law/bylaw here about how it can make someone feel they are safe, and if shit does happen and they don't work the person can sue you for having a fake one. Its more for business but anything facing public places. Plus everyone wears a mask anyway and the cameras don't do jack shit in terms of identifying them just providing a accurate log of what happened while being someone what of a deterrent if they can see them from afar. A real one for my balcony would be fun. do some time lapse stuff.

😱😨😰They didn't know your plants are famous, this is horrible to steal your babies like this ! Shame on the thief !
m0use
m0usecommented2 years ago
@Blabina, Thanks for the support and I don't think they know the true potential of the plant they stole. Its root zone is fortified with Dynomyco. Hopefully they do not kill the plant and it has the chance to bloom and be frosty.
Eauderay
Eauderaycommentedweek 102 years ago
omg they love your balcony! Funny how they start growing massively once their roots are in place it is like they went Boom! Awesome!😍
m0use
m0usecommented2 years ago
@Eauderay, its magic! Last time I grew photoperiods outdoors they where getting HUGE but the wind knocked them over a lot and the plants got so stressed the flowering was all messed up. only got popcorn sized buds and not the best quality. This time is going to be different! BTW That would be a great brand name for a root booster with microbes. "It's magic!"
TastyBudzz
TastyBudzzcommentedweek 82 years ago
As your watching them much closer than me I take your opinion more seriously. I don't personally see a difference. I wonder if the bacteria can migrate to other plants? Maybe both are now inoculated with the bacteria? Plants look lush and healthy. Probably more to do with your careful observing and nurturing of the plants .
m0use
m0usecommented2 years ago
@TastyBudzz, I am a week behind on updates, trying to get them out today. But my care regime is not the best in the world. I just toss shit at them and they either sink or swim lol. right now its a buch of LABS in the water and pelletized chicken shit in the medium with some bokashi mixed it and a few other amendments that are also dehydrated forms of shit and minerals. I over feed it as its a Photoperiod and they can take it vs the autos. I don't think I'll notice a massive difference in the end mainly because my soil is so fortified with other microorganisms. But I still will use Dynomyco as I think it does help out compete the pathogenic ones. Thanks for the love :D

@TastyBudzz, lota things, chives, dill, basil, woodland sage, marigolds, swan river daisy's, pineapple mint, strawberry mint, dwarf floss flowers, love lies bleeding amaranth, morning glorys and mina lobata, the amaranth it grew real small this year :/
TastyBudzz
TastyBudzzcommentedweek 32 years ago
Yeah the Dyno root ball looks a bit more robust . Not really a game changer. But healthy bacterial cultures in soil prevent pathogens so sometimes the results are not readily apparent. Mind you that's why I use LAB. And vinegar bacteria which is a different classification of bacteria. In organics , living soil ,the bacteria feeds the plants or " prepares the food" Definitely worth saving some Cherry Pie clones . I'm growing Gelato now but Cherry pie has genetics I truly appreciate. Durban and GDP are old school genetics when taste was still a very important characteristic of flowers. I remember getting very tasty flowers growing with hen poop. Amazing that's nutrient source . Very cool that it's local and organic. Ish.
m0use
m0usecommented2 years ago
@TastyBudzz, almost everything in this grow is certified organic. only thing that's not is the LAB serum and Dynomyco product lol. however if I used organic milk it would have been, the rice was organic only because it was the only back rice they had at the store for the wash in making labs, I like the pink hue the cheese gets from it.
