increase intensity of light... let internode length guide you.... if it gets too long, increase light (less distance or increase power). if it stays too tight, raise or reduce power. changing height will change optimal area of coverage. but reducing power will reduce total photons bouncing around... so probably a little less hitting lower areas off walls etc. know the dynamics, and pick the best option... simple and convenient is usually best.
