*Log* 6/17 Started 2 seeds with Paper Towel but switched to Glass Of Water 6/18 Seeds sank, moved to peat starters (put them in dry soil and watered, felt bad that I may have messed up, pulled the seeds out and replanted them in moist soil @ half pinky distal phalanx depth) 6/19 Moistened soil with tap water 6/20 Moistened soil with tap water and 1 tbsp nutrients (from 15ml/g jug) 6/21 Moistened soil with tap water. Discovered seedling which I thought failed (planted directly in substrate) had been growing inside my grow tent. Yay! Pulled seedling from 5g pot and put it inside a peat starter, gave nutrients, replanted into 5g planter. 6/22 Transplanted closet seedlings into 5g pots (wet walls of peat starters, pre-watered substrate, then planted) This week was kinda a hot mess of me trying to figure out what I'm doing. Originally I started with the paper towel method but decided to switch to the glass of water the same day after trying to germinate seeds in a 5g pot outside. I moved the 5g pot inside after a few days of no sprouts only to discover a seedling that had broken through after 5 days or so. Going to keep checking on the plants over the next week and providing water when the soil is dry (seems to be every 2 to 3 days?) Will be using tap water normally and watering with Fox Farms Grow Big and Big Bloom once per week.

Soil was pretty wet still when I tested it. It's going on day 4 since I last watered, should I increase my fan speed?

No you should be good from what I saw this was the first fully saturated water you did. Since your in a large pot right from the start watering is a bit tricky and you don't want to fully saturate with runoff until she grows into the pot( 4th or 5th node ). Which is when you start feeding stronger strength's of nutrients. As for nutrients I think your going way to strong. Just looking at other diaries( growdiaries.com/nutrients/fox-farm/grow-big ) that use the same nutrients I am seeing late veg plants being fed 10ml/gal. So I would drop your dose down to 2ml/gal and then increase to 5ml/gal. when she gets larger( auto eat less ) Your using tap water so it is recommended to let the tap water sit over night to air off the chlorine. Good luck and Happy Growing.

Checked on them daily. Noticed some algae starting to form on two of the plants so I'm glad I decided to back off on watering and let the soil dry out more. Watered them today to saturation since the top inch to two inches of soil were dry. No nutes this week, just tap water.

Checked on them regularly, everything seems to be going well. My water mixture today was 1/2 gal tap water, 1/4 gal Big Bloom @ 60 ml/gal, and 1/4 gal Grow Big @ 10 ml/gal. Each lady got about 1/3 of that mixture. Slight smell still present. Thought about starting LST last week but I may do that this week instead.

The tap water I've been watering my plants with is very alkaline, the pH came out to around 10 when I measured it with a digital reader. Should I water it again with pH adjusted water early or wait until the soil dries out to avoid overwatering? Soil and nutes pH was ~8.6.

I'd get that PH down as soon as possible! Your plants aren't able to take up any of the nutes you're giving them and the plant is going to suffer. Flush with PH'd water (go for 6.0-6.5) at the rate of 3 gallons of water for every gallon of pot size... The last gallon you run through on your flush should contain your nutes. THEN let it dry out completely before watering. Good luck - I think everything will be fine! You're lucky you caught this when you did as autos don't really NEED any nutes until they're about the age yours are! Always, always, always let the soil dry out between watering/feeding... and make sure what you're giving her is PH'd to 6.0-6.5!

Starting back with nutes this week after correcting the pH of the water I've been giving them. The tap water was extremely alkaline and needed to be adjusted down (yay lemon juice!). They appear to have taken to the new pH water really well and grow quite a bit this week.

Pretty explosive growth this week, probably thanks to adjusting the pH. They were extra thirsty as well and I had to water them an extra time this week (so they were watered twice, one with nutrients and one with just tap). Nutrient mix was 1/3rd gal @ 60 ml/gal Tiger Bloom, 1/3rd gal @ 15 ml/gal Big Bloom, and 1/3rd gal pH adjusted tap water. My kitty even came to visit and check on them.

Another good week of growth, the girls seem to be doing really well! The smell really picked up and is starting to seep out of the tent a little bit, but it's still really well contained. They are extra thirsty and have been receiving water every other day, with my nutrient mix once a week still.

Another strong week of growth, my largest plant is around 31 to 32 inches now! Increased the frequency of watering to every day with the nutes being added once a week on Sunday. I think next week will be the week I cut out the nutes and start flushing the soil in preparation for harvest day. They smell fantastic too, I'm beyond thrilled.

Looks like everything is still going pretty well. Lots of frosties developing on one of the plants while the other two are just starting to get some trichomes. Switched to full strength nutrients every other watering. The zoomed in pictures aren't as good since I took them through my jewelers loop, but I think they came out decent enough.

Had a move this week since my basement temps were too low. I decided to move my tent upstairs where it was a bit warmer, temps now around 70 to 80 instead of in the 60s. I added some bowls of baking powder in the tent to try and absorb some moisture from the air until I can get a dehumidifier. I'm glad I have a pretty large tower fan keeping the air circulating in there with my RH being so high. Looks like the pistils are starting to change color as well. Trichromes looking milky white on one of the girls, I think once I see 5%-10% amber trichromes I'll chop her down. Maybe 3 weeks?

Started flushing my one that looks the furthest along, mostly milky trichomes, in preparation for harvest (I'm guessing another week or two). The other two are still getting nutes for the week, though I'll start flushing them soon as well.
