I put the seed in a bottle cap filled with water from my fish aquarium and left over night. I noticed the seed had cracked. I placed half a coffee filter in a plastic container from a rotisserie chicken and dumped the cap of water and seed into the filter. I then added more water from my aquarium to the filter to ensure it was fully moist. After three days, the root was long enough to transfer to soil. The pot was moved to my "seedling tent" which is a box lined with aluminum foil with a 7 watt LED bulb suspended over it. The box is layered over top a heating pad with a small gap to not cook the seedlings.

After three days under the soil, she popped out! I've started misting using plain tap water to keep the humidity at a good level. The first watering was about 15 ml of aquarium water but the second watering was with a seedling starter. I sprinkled a small dusting of Synergy mycorrhizae. I've not used mycorrhizae on my grows before but hoping this will improve initial growth. The seedling is starting to stretch so I will add more lights. So far so good! The top growth is a very healthy green and I think we're off to a good start!!

This week I found a small four shelf greenhouse on sale, so I have upgraded from my tinfoil box, LOL. I've increased the concentration of the seedling starter in the water to help speed up growth. The temperature is lower in the green house from my box however the RH is higher and it's getting extra light from the window. I want to put this on a 18/6 schedule however I can't find my timer. I'm looking after a pile of kittens at the moment and I think the timer is in the closet of the room the kittens are in and so help me god, if I open that closet door, I'll lever get all them out again so it might stay at 24 light schedule for now.😸 I'm using a Philips EcoVantage 70w indoor halogen for the seedling stage which should be ending very quickly. I'm please with the progress so far and the plant is looking great. We're off to a good start! 😃

Cherry is really coming along! She's out of the seedling phase and will start getting full nutes so the growth should start to explode. She's likely filled her pot so I'll need to transplant her to a larger pot. I'm please with the growth so far but I wonder if I held back too much on the seedling starter. I'm pretty excited for this cultivar! This is my fist bean from Parkland Flower so I'm curious to see what their genetics are like and I'm really looking forward to the cherry flavors in the flower so this plant is getting extra attention. 😊

This was a really good week for growth. I've started using the full nutes with the plant and it's responding very well. Looking back, I could have very easily used a strong concentration of the seedling starter however this was my first time using the product and the first time with this particular cultivar so I'm not considering this a mistake. It's better to use less and not fry the plant, and this way, I'm only maybe a week or two behind in veg rather than having to start with a nute burned plant. The node spacing might be a little tight but it might stretch out yet. The foliage is a healthy green and the stalk is surprisingly thick with new branch sites forming at every node. I'm going to keep Cherry in veg until I can take decent sized clone and then put her to flower. At this rate, it shouldn't be more than two weeks. I had some questions for Parkland Flower and the customer service was great. I spoke to Kieley the CEO and she was incredibly helpful. I really liked that interaction and so I picked up a pack of next generation critical magic from Parkland Flower for my next grow diary. The plant is off to a good start, everything is proceeding as I have foreseen, lol.😊

Cherry is in beast mode. I'm loving the growth I'm seeing after going to full strength nutes. Everything is look so good and I'm not even seeing any burning on the tips. She's still a light drinker, I'm only given her about 2 liters over the course of the week: a liter, twice. I'm going to wait another two or three days an then take a clone. After I take the cutting, I'm thinking she's good to flip to 12/12 which I will likely do within the next week. I bought a TDS meter and was able to take a reading for the first time. 1523. Much higher than I thought but I get my water from my fish aquarium and this time, the water was from cleaning the tank. Fish 💩 is loaded with nutes, lol. No kidding, a few years back, I had dumped the bucket from cleaning my tank on my lawn and still to this day, that patch is greener than the rest. Bro-tip, if you have a fish tank, don't waste that 💩, that is premium organic nutes!! She's getting a high amount of light and she's right in the prime VPD zone so she can handle the large feedings not to mention the cultivar is likely nutrient hungry. I'm not topping cherry, you'll see why in a few weeks. I do a low impact technique that I've not seen any other grower do. Follow to find out 'the Morg Tilt', 😎 Cherry is doing great, she spends most of her day praying 😇. I am really looking forward to watching her flower.😍
