JL420 They started off really well in pre-flowering by following the Biobizz chart and taking great care of the EC and pH.

JL420 I took out the plant that I had raised from the closet since it was very small and I moved it outside. Now there are only 8, but I have space to put a homemade cooler when the air conditioning is not on.

JL420 I see a good response to the aggressive defoliation I did. Let's hope it yields good results. It's the first time I'm practicing it since it's a bit controversial.

JL420 More pistils have started to appear, and you can see where those buds are going to form. I made a mistake with the defoliation and pruning, and it caused a lot of stretching. Two are 15cm from the LED, and the others are 30cm away. The highest tips are at 30 degrees Celsius with the LED at 80% = 160w. The extractor is up top!! What you see below is not an extractor but an intractor that I've set up to move a bit of air in the tent from the bottom, but it's at 10% with a dimmer. It's summer, and it's 28-30 degrees Celsius outside.

JL420 You can really see how the plants are resinous. I had to bend two plants as you can see in the photos to keep the entire canopy at the same level, and with the addition of a new oscillating fan placed at the top, I've managed to lower the temperature at the tips to a maximum of 28 degrees. (Last week it was at 30-31 degrees.) I think the yield looks so reduced because of the late pruning mistakes and the stretching caused by the heat. Let's hope that even though the yield is going to be mediocre, the flavor makes up for it. Thanks for the visit, grower.

JL420 Being a fast-flowering variety, the harvest will be around the end of next week. This is the sixth week since the light cycle changed to 12/12, so the first watering of this week was done with fertilizer, and on day 40, I performed a root flush with osmosis water until it drained at the same EC as the input, which was 300. Some plants haven't developed as much resin as others. I think it was the heat issues since I didn't have good ventilation until 10 days ago when I put in a new powerful oscillating fan to eliminate those hot spots.

JL420 This is the last week and I'm cutting on day 50 after switching to 12/12. Checking the trichomes, they're already about 5% amber, so it's time to cut (in my opinion). Let's hope for a good drying process and we'll see how many grams I've gotten with the Lumatek 200w LED at 60% due to heat issues. That means they flowered with 120w of power.

JL420 I harvested 8 plants in the 60x60 cabinet with the Lumatek Attis 200w LED at 60% due to temperature issues. I ended up with 2 phenotypes that had very loose buds, but the other 5 took good shape and produced quite a bit of resin. I harvested using the microscope technique with 5% amber trichomes. Only 120w were used during flowering (LED at 60%), and the dry weight of the harvest was 78 grams. In summary, a plant that, despite the low humidity and high temperatures, has held up well, producing buds that look good and, most importantly, have a great taste and are smooth to smoke.
