One of the Black Dog Auto seeds didn't completely shed the seed shell so I helped remove the seed shell but damaged the sprout in the process.. I'll need to germinate another Black Dog Auto to replace the damaged one.
Steady growth looking healthy. Good root development (to the base of the pot). Re-potted the autos to their final pot and re-potted the fast sprouts that were not already in their middle pot (I'll re-pot these once more at a later date).
Only 4 days since the last entry and the plants are continuing to grow vigorously. Given a light feed of Plagron Alga Grow and a spray of Total Killer to keep on top of the whiteflies and any other insect infestation. Total Killer is Potassium soap. Ecological insecticide and phytofortifier based on Potassium Salts. Its cleaning action stimulates the foliar development of the plant and eliminates the molasses produced by the action of insects, while acting against them, making them more vulnerable since it softens their chitinous shell.
The autos have started to flower (it is actually week 3.5 since germination) and the fast versions are growing nicely. I've removed a few grasshoppers from the plants and there is at least another grasshopper still at large! The grass hopper hasn't been too destructive and their is only leaf damage but if there were less plants then the damage would be worse.
Some of the autos have stretched more than others but there are two different pot sizes and it is mainly the plants in smaller pots that are smaller in size. Fast versions are doing well but have suffered a bit of nutrient burn and are being nibbled on by grasshoppers.
This is actually week 6 since germination. The autos are flowering and receiving Plagron Alga Bloom nutrients. The fast versions are receiving Plagron Alga Grow nutrients.
Autoflowering plants now in week 7 since germination receiving Alga Bloom and the fast versions have just been re-potted into their final pots of varying sizes receiving Alga Grow.
7.5 weeks since germination. Feeding every 3 to 4 days. Autos get Plagron Alga Bloom and the Fast versions get Plagron Alga Grow. The next feed the Autos will get some Plagron Green Sensation as well.
There is still at least one grasshopper at large as the leaves show they have been nibbled on, most probably by a grasshopper. Added Green Sensation to the Alga Bloom for the flowering Autos. The Fast are still just getting Alga Grow.
The Autos are a few weeks off from finishing and the Fast ones are starting to show signs of flowering. No pistils yet but the branches have started to move away from being even on each side and are now staggering showing they are getting ready to flower.
The autos are a few weeks away from finishing I'd expect. The fast strains are still stretching up and will get their last grow nutrients shortly before moving on to bloom nutrients.
Most of the autos are not far from finishing so they may just be getting water for the next couple of waterings. The fast are showing more and more flowering and have now had their first Alga Bloom nutrients.
The autos are just getting water now. Some of the autos are nearly finished and will be getting chopped soon. The fasts are flowering but still stretching a bit. I've had to add some support canes due to some strong winds.
I'll let these dry until the stem snaps which should be around 3 days from chopping. Once they are dry to the snap then they will go into jars for curing.
Now I have harvested almost all the autos this leaves more room for these fast versions which have not been getting enough light really. After I harvest the remaining autos in a few days the fast versions will have better space to fill out and finish.
The buds are developing more and more as you would expect. Now there is more room for these 6 fast versions they should start filling out and stop stretching.
Hopefully they have all stopped stretching now as there is not really and more space for vertical growth... Otherwise I'll have to bend a few tops under the security bars.
The plants are still under cover and have been for over a week now, but the rains are here and they get enough light still so protection from getting wet is vital to avoid mould and protect the harvest.
For out of the five fast strains are pretty much finished (and are only receiving water). I'd like to remove the cover so that they can get some direct sunlight but there are still possibilities of rain forecast so I'll have to asses that over the next few days. The other 2 fast strains will take a few more weeks maybe and would definitely benefit from some direct sunlight but I just can't let them get damaged by heavy rains.
This should be the last week for 4 out of the 6 plants. I'll start taking them down over the next week starting with one of the Peanut Butter OGKB Fast and one of the Bruce Banner #3 Fast.
The buds have been hanging and drying for a week for the majority of the harvest and should be dry enough to jar during this week or by the end of next weekend.
