Growing an Aztech Genetics Mellow AK strain uner a Mars Hydro Epistar 320 in a 56 litre fabric pot.
I am going to scrog her as she's in an 80 cm x 80cm square tent that 180 cm tall and need to keep height controlled as only 130cm available between top of pot and bottom of light.
Plant has kicked in now and is growing rapidly, Will add in my homemade scrog screen and start training maybe in a week or two. Just want to get the plant to a height where its comfortable and easy to reach and work under the screen.
Really started vigorously growing now and can see a difference each day look in. Added the scrog screen in today and will be a few weeks now til it's nicely filled but hopefully be switching to 12/12 by end of month :)
Screen is filling out nicely and should be ready to be flicked by the end of the month.
just a midway update after a bit of a trim and tidy up session on screen
Canna A + B are now up to 4ml per litre and won't go any higher then this.
Maybe another week still to go til a full screen but she seems to be filling out much faster, have thinned her out a few times now but it seems to grow back fast.

Still a fair few gaps so wont be flicking as early as had planned but should be within a week or 2, had a massive thin out of leaf a couple of days ago too as was a bit congested with leaf.
Almost there with the screen and 12/12 will likely be started by end of the week, with one final tuck under half way through first week of switch.
Once a week I am having to spend half hour removing and thinning out a fair amount of leafs so it doesn't get too congested underneath and I will repeat this throughout grow. This will also help with airflow around the developing colas later in flower
Just about half way through the first week of 12/12 and I have tucked the plant under one last time and had a bit of a trim up of leaf too.
She will be left now to stretch away all she likes. As more growth appears above the screen I will start to clear out more leaf from below screen and any large fan leaves above screen that are blocking light out too other bud sites.
Into the second week of 12/12 now and she's only just really started chucking out white pistils, hopefully she's got a couple of weeks more stretch left in her yet.
Plant has now kicked into full flower and is still stretching which is nice to see, Removed a few bigger fan leaves but only those blocking light to other bud sites.
Smell starting to come through now and so are the first trichomes too. Still a while to go yet and she's bulking up nicely already.

Still roughly 3 weeks to go, i'll be adding pk 13/14 in with the nutrient solution in a few days
Plant starting to bulk up and frost nicely, getting a few top heavy buds already and had a few dry leaves too at the back of tent which i'm putting down to the fan in the same corner.
PK 13-14 been added in this weeks nutrient and be a week back to normal nutes ( no pk) followed by a week flush ready to chop at 9 weeks of flowering.
Everything looking good in the SCROG. I took a few macro shots and she's going to done a week sooner then I planned as shes already showing some amber trichs so she is now on flush.
8 weeks of flower seems to be fine for this pheno so although I had another week available to take her to 9 weeks it doesn't seem needed.
Plant is ready at 8.5 weeks of flowering and will be coming down in a day or so.
Lovely even canopy and all buds have fattened up much the same which is a real bonus
Really pleased with the smoke on this Mellow AK and Mellow certainly sums up the effects accurately, nice happy buzz, sometimes quite strong yet euphoric and not unpleasant. Really nice smoke for day time or for hanging out with friends.
Didnt reach my target of 20 ounces but I really can't grumble at 16 and it's a very nice daytime smoke that's uplifting and nice to have in the jars this winter
@A1420, I need to get one of them clip on one's. My tall oscilating fan was too powerful so now I've just got the one small one in a corner. Plants are in a line pretty much so they all get some. I didn't realise I was getting wind burn before lol I thought it was a deficiency!

1 clip fan above as can be seen and a second underneath blowing air up through screen.
I'm tempted to add another on underneath in opposite corner to existing one too
Looking great mate, proper scrog! takes some patients training like that, looking forward to seeing it flower and very interested to see what the Epi 320 does, Im currently using a reflector 192 and looking to upgrade soon.
@A1420, Thanks for the reply, that was a question on my mind regarding temps, ive had the issue myself in summer but as you say if its a decent smoke thats good enough.
When you flip them it will still stretch for a couple of weeks so I think you should easily fill those gaps looking at the way you have trained it in that net.
I cant quite remember the numbers but most say your nets need to be around 70% full before flip to allow for the extra stretch.
@puddlejump, Thanks, I did well yield wise with the 320 last grow with an auto but due to summer temps and height restrictions she finished very loose/open and foxtaily although smoke decent enough regardless.
Now temps have settled and I have control over height and when can introduce flowering phase I should do better.
My patience is almost up though :) so flowering will be started in a few days time hopefully without too many gaps round edges
Wow, that is seriously an impressive looking plant you have. Great job!!! I don't say WOW that much on here, but this plant is so dam impressive! I think the only thing missing is xmas decorations.
