7/31 - Soaked the bean for about 20 hours and its tapped in the water. I did move it to a damp paper towel for about 6 hours and the tap rot was long enough. Didnt have the soil ready yet, so I planted it in a peet pellet. Will plant in final pot today. This will be my first attempt at growing outside, just enough time left for an autoflower to finish.
8/1 - Sprouted today!
8/2 - Planted seedling into final 3 gal. pot.
8/7 - 1 week old! Growing quickly for a sprout. Has cotyledons and two sets of leaves formed already. Based on how fast it germinated and sprouted, I think this plant will more than make of for the defecit expected by GSC growing so small.
8/21 - Coming along nicely. Healthy leaves, strong stalk, and tight node spacing! Starting to see what the fuss is about with Mephisto! I topped this week and it has already recovered.
8/27 - Holy crap! This plant is in a hurry! It has been in pre flower for several days now, and it has orange hairs popping out already! Still no signs of deficiency or deformity on this one. It has grown consistantly, though slowly since sprout. All the growth is healthy and vivrant green. The node spacing is tight and doesnt seem to care what distance it is from the light. It just doenst stretch, in veg anyway. Cant wait to see if this little lady gets leggy during the first weeks of flower.
9/3 - Flowering is moving along with this one! I cant get over how well this strain is growing. It is small and compact, so most likely wont be a large harvest. Buts still, its healthy and happy. Which means its going turn out nicely.
9/11 - Very sweet aroma starting to come off of this one! Colas are starting to stack up and thicken. A little bit of yellowing on lowest leaves, two pair. Plucked both easily, they were close to falling off anyway. Selectively defoliated to light up bud sites. Very small statured plant.
9/17 - This is an absolutely beautiful compact plant! I really thought all the fuss about genetics was just hype. Mephisto abviously got it right! This plant is receiving the same shitty treatment as my other 4 plants, and it is standing happy, with praying leaves. No leaf issues, just sticky, stacked, frosty buds that seem to double in size every couple of days! I will grow Mephisto again for sure!
9/24 - Mephisto Genetics, I love you! This plant is fantastic! The last plant I was this pumped about was Revolve Auto from Crop Kings. Maybe its the free part that gets me. But seriously, the plant is stacked up like with sticky buds. Just frosty all over, Im estimating mid October for harvest and man am I looking forward to it!
10/2 - Well, I did it now. One of my Gelato hermied and knocked up all of my plants. I had no idea at all. So the upside is, I get some tasty new crosses to check out. From the little I have read so far, if two known stable autos cross due to hermie, they will be fem and auto. To fem seeds chemicals are used to force a female to hermie, then releasing pollen and fertilizing with no actual male involved. I used stress to accidentally hermie a plant. So the results should be the same. As for this plant, its loaded with seeds, but the buds are quite large and very resinous. I now have a cross between Gelato x Mango Smile. I'm calling it Mysterion to show respect for Mephistos love for South Park.
This the best plant I have grown yet. That is largely due to the fine genetics here. I abused the hell out of it as I did its tent mates. This plant took the abuse and made buds with it!
10/4 - Harvested and hung up this one in about 10 minutes. Nice and frosty and at least this time the harvest was expected. Most seem to surprise me when its time! Heavily seeded from a hermie Gelato. So I now have a new strain to try out! Im calling it Mysterion to reference Mephistos love for South Park. Already germinated and planted one bean. Should sprout soon!
Nice Grow! Out of curiosity how much of the fox farm dry silica(open sesame and stuff) are you using? 4.9 ml does that mean you're putting a whole tsp per gallon?
@@Permafry, Thanks! It's pretty tasty, smoking it as I type this. That's right, I was using 1 tsp per gallon, which usually was split 4 ways. So really, I only fed a 1/4 gallon, buy at 1 tsp per gallon.
