This is a very sticky strain to harvest. I had a lot of problems when I tried to wet trim. I had to pick off the sugar leaves from the scissors by hand. Luckily I was wearing gloves. She dried for about a week in a cardboard garment box. There is an exhaust fan at the top, and passive intake along the bottom of the box. Temps were 63-71. Humidity was 32-41% She was a little brittle coming out of the drying box, but since putting the buds into the jars with a 58% Breveda, the buds are back to dense and spongy.
Smoke is smooth and really, really stony! I sampled a few popcorn buds and they made me a little light headed. The aroma is wonderful so far. It smells like fruity pebbles!
I've really grown to like this nutrient line. It's a little more work, but the line is very forgiving. I doubt if you could over fertilize your plants if you tried. However, I have found that feeding them more with this line is better as long as you are using the right balance of nutrients.
Bubba was a super easy grow overall.
She didn't like being defoliated, so I would change my defol. schedule to a few times during the grow instead of a little bit at a time which is my current method.
I didn't really push her with nutrients during veg. I think with this line of nutes, I could greatly increase my nutes during veg, and during the beginning of flowering.
Bubba does not produce an abundance of secondary growth. When I grow this strain again, I will top her, and train her out. I will definitely mini top as well to increase the primary bud sites. Lastly, I will lollipop the hell out of this strain to encourage bigger buds.
The extra time spent in veg will be made up for in flowering. Bubba raced through flowering.
@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Thanks for the response!!! Right now I'm more concerned with the winter weather. I'm going to mainline the Blue Dream CBD I believe. That should take care of any height problems. I'm only going to grow one seed atm though, I'd hate to lose precious seeds to the cold!
Bubba is stubbornly keeping her milky trichomes. I've been trying to wait until I start seeing amber, but I'm agreeing with you. I'm thinking she is about a week away.
BTW she is producing some really nice purple hues! Cold weather isn't all bad!
@Quexos, Are you concerned about our Blue Dream CBD being to talk for your tent my friend?
What dimension are you working with?
Bubbas gift is very close. 7 more day's at maximum. She gets ripe very fast and she looks super close to me π
Looking good mate π

@Quexos, It looks like the stretch phase is coming to an end my friend then we will start to see those buds explode π
Good call on stopping the foliar feeding. Now you have flowers forming you don't want to spray those buds. Best to add to your nutrient mix βοΈ
Get ready as the real fun is about to begin πbuckle up π
Until next time π

Team-HSO..
@Quexos, not a problem mate π
Now the flowering phase has started. Let's see what she can do π
Thank you for the diary update my friend, I'll drop back in on the next π
Kind regards
Team-HSO..
@OkieJim, Trichs were all milky. There might have been some amber, but I didn't look that hard. I waited a long time for them to turn amber. I pushed my harvest day back at least 3 weeks. I'm sure the buds are more potent and denser from waiting, but I never really saw the trichs turn amber.
Good luck with the harvest my friend. You've done a great job with the diary, now it's time to get those scissors out and your fingers sticky π
I'll drop back in to see the end product buddy π

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Thanks again for the kind words, and for following my grow. I love the buds! The smell and taste are both wonderful! The high is really special though.
I'm not happy about the yield, but I place the blame on my inexperience. After growing this strain, I can see a few improvements I can make for the next time that will put this harvest to shame. I'll probably wait until fall though, I love those purple buds!
Again thank you very much! I am starting a Blue Dream CBD journal this week. I also got the seeds from you guys in a contest.
@Quexos, And what a successful harvest. Some stunning looking flowers, beautiful colours and I can guarantee it will be some of the best flower you will taste.
We love your description and we agree. This strain should have been named "Fruity Pebbles" as it smells just the same. Do my devine π
Congratulations on the harvest and diary "approved"

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, As a matter of fact, I'm pulling the bud stalks out of the drying box and doing the final trim tonight. I should have a final harvest by tomorrow.
@LazLow, Thanks! It was a very pretty plant to grow! I'm not that thrilled with the yield and the size of the buds, but this is my first time with this strain, and its a bit of a learning curve.
@CRiSPrGrow,NFTG uses a few of their products as a flushing additive. I'm adding Herculean Harvest (Calcium), and Aphrodite's Extraction (Carbon,Sucrose) to my end of flowering waterings. According to NFTG, the Calcium and Carbon helps the plant extract the remaining nutrients from the plant and soil, and the Sucrose is a feeder of sorts for microbes and the plant.
I did a real flush on Tuesday though. I put Bubba in our sink and soaked her with filtered water.
I put her in the dark room Thursday night after trimming away all the remaining fan leaves.
@OkieJim, I'm thinking I should get about 60+ dry grams from this grow. That will be my highest yield so far.
I have 4 seeds left. I will mainline those I believe. I think I can do a whole lot better now that I know the strain better. This grow certainly makes me want to grow more of their strains.
@Tazard, Thanks! I turned off the flowering lights when I took these photos. I wanted everyone to see her color without those blurple lights.
I looked up her lineage. She has some Granddaddy Purple in her blood.
Also, its getting colder here and that brings out the color.
@iMeus, Thanks! and Thanks! I had originally planned to have harvested by this time, but she is nowhere near ready. I'm determined to be patient this time. I always feel that I harvest too early, but I convince myself that the grow is done. This time will be different...
That potting up has most definitely helped my friend and the growth over the last 7 days is amazing π
Nice work so far and we can not wait to see what you can do with this strain, so far loving your work π
Kind regards
Team-HSO..
Nice to see one of my all time favourite strains being grown on the grow diary platform π(Bubbas gift)
Let's see what you can do with this legendary indica βοΈ
So far looking good π
Kind regards
Team-HSO..
@Quexos, letting her grow out natural, this should be interesting π
The potting up looks to have gone well and she's loving that extra medium to spread those roots out π
Nice work!
