Germination
Our first batch of seeds dried out due to underwatering. So we decided to germinate the new ones with the soil plug from RQS, which is a substrate prepared for the germination with micronutrients that support a healthy growth of the young plants. We put the seeds directly in the soil plug and water it, keeping it moist, but not wet. In three days, 3 out of 4 seeds germinated, but the Special Queen was a bit late, and it took another 3 days to fully germinate. Meanwhile, we planted the other germinated seeds, watering the soil 2 hours before putting the plug directly into the soil. Humidity: 60-80% Temperature: 20-30 ºC

The first week of vegetation was a success! All seeds germinated well and the plants are growing fast and healthy, although the Special Queen is 3 days behind schedule (due to its late germination). Its first leaves are wrinkly, and we think it's due the high temperature in the grow. We decreased the LED dim to 50% (the day I wrote this diary) to see if ithe new leaves starts to grow heathy. The other plants seem to be strong and are growing new leaves every 1-2 days. We are not using any fertilizer in the first week, only bottled water, since the soil already has all the micronutrients needed. Humidity: 50-70% Temperature: 23-30 ºC

The plants are doing well, growing fast, except special queens which had some issues with high temperature but now are growing but a little random. We started to use a fertilizer with 1ml/L of pH Perfect Connoisseur Grow Part A and B each. We started using the fan for 1 hour of the day. Our Led Light is now in 100%. The plants are doing great. Three full weeks already and probably finishing veg phase (we plan to have 4-5 weeks of vegetation). We started feeding them about 10 days ago, first with 1ml/L of part A and B of Connoisseur Grow nutrients and now with 2ml/L of each. The results seems good so far, although some leaves tips are starting to turn yellow, we think is due nutrient burn, so we started to water without nutrient for once, just to be sure the plants absords all available nutrients. The largest plant we have is the Royal Cookies from RQS, so we decided to top pruning it (topping) to slow the growth a little bit, and also to compare the results of this technique with the other plants (with no topping prune). The Pineapple Kush also grew a lot and very fast, while the Northern Light grew slower than the other two, but now increased its growth rate since last week. The Special Queen suffered from heat stress in the beginning (right after germination), so its growth was very delayed. Due to the stress, the plant grew two branches from the beginning, so we tried a LST technique to increase light exposure to its leaves by attaching a metal wire to the branches of the plant. We don't expect a very big yield from this plant, but hopefully a great high (since it suffered a big stress). Humidity: 50-65% Temperature: 23-27 ºC

We started feeding the plants 10 days ago. Some leave tips started to turn yellow, we think is due nutrient burn. We decided to water them without ferts for once, to flush out the excess nutrients. Is it a good approach? Could it be from light stress? (See pic for reference)

Yes, of course this is a good approach if you think you've got a minor nute burn... and I would say it was a VERY minor nute problem - probably nothing I would have worried about but what you did was perfectly appropriate and won't harm anything. It's definitely NOT light stress... you would see the tops of the leaves being burned, not just the tips. The grow is doing very well but I might suggest you think about adding some calmag once a week ... Very, very nice looking grow!

We're astonished how fast and how big these plants are growing . The plants have completed four weeks of vegetation and we had to change the photoperiod to 12-12, otherwise they will grow bigger than our tent can handle (they've surpassed half the height of the tent already). As we changed the photoperiod, in the next week we'll start to feed them with Connoisseur Bloom (Part A and B). In the past week we started removing some leaves from the bottom that looked unhealthy and weren't getting enough light, to give more energy to the rest of the plant. These plants have great genetics (from RQS). After pruning the top branch (topping) of Royal Cookies (RC), the two new branches grew very fast (it's very surprising how resilient these plants are). The other plants (Pineapple Kush and Northern Light - no topping) are approximately the same size as the RC. The other one (Special Queen) has grown a little but is still very small, and we were very sad that we couldn't extend the veg phase for her. But it is growing in a very different pattern from the others, its branches are splitting (see last two pics). Humidity: 45-65% Temperature: 22-26 ºC

This week was quite unusual for these plants. It was the first week since we changed the photoperiod to 12-12, thus they started pre-flowering. And we couldn't stay at home for a few days, so the watering was a bit neglected (maximum 2.5 days without watering). The "damage" was small and easy to repair (just water them), although some branches of the Royal Cookies (RC) bent so abruptly, due to the lack of water, that they broke (a forced suppercropping lol). We put a tape where it was broken for the plant to regenerate. I think it's not a big issue, because the branches are pretty straight, we'll see in a few days. Also, this week the weather was rainy, which increased the RH inside the grow tent, which is not good in the blom phase. To solve this, we put a dehumidifier inside the grow and we did a lollipoping defoliation (about 1/3 of the height of the plants - except the SQ) on the bottom leaves, which weren't receiving enough light, to decrease the humidity and better the airflow inside the tent. Also, we remove some suck branches, to focus the energy of the plant to the large branches so it can yield big buds 😋 The plants grew A LOT this week ("flowering stretch" I think), and we started to have some issues with the size of the plant (namely the RC and the PK), because they are almost reaching the LED panel, and the top leaves are suffering from heat stress (canoeing). To fix this, we made an LST to deviate the top leaves from the LED (see two last pics). We're afraid of how much they will grow because they might not fit in the tent (expecting big yields nonetheless - not a very bad problem lol). If they grow too big, we might have to supercrop them in the future 😩 The SQ grew very small in the veg phase (compared to the others), with ~25cm. Thus we raised its heigth to receive more light and she has grown very big this last week (~45 cm), with so much new leaves, so proud of her 😍 I wish we had thought of that sooner 😑😑 so she could have grown bigger. Begginers mistake 😓 Humidity: 50-75% Temperature: 20-25 ºC

Hello mates, one of my plants bent its branches due to lack of water (I wasn't at home for a few days), and three of them has broken, even partially RIPPED. I put a tape so it can recover from the damage. Should I worry about this? She looks fine after a day (straighten up).

Solange die Zweige nicht vollständig gebrochen sind, stehen die Chancen eigentlich recht gut, dass sie sich erholt. Zumal sie ja mittlerweile einen besseren Gesamteindruck macht, wie du sagst 😄
