Day 1 - Put both seeds in a glass of water Day 2 - Both seeds popped with little taproot showing. Sowed both seeds in small pots using only BioBizz AllMix. Day 3 - Misted top soil to keep substrate moist. Still no seedling showing through soil. Day 5 - Both ladies popped out of the soil. Misting regularly to keep humidity up. They were transferred to the tent with only 1 100w lamp on as far away as possible from the seedlings. Day 6 - Lowered lamp by about 30cm, still over a 100cm away from plants. Will slowly reduce distance over a week until plants get accustomed to the lamp. Misting regularly to keep humidity up. Jessy lost a cotyledon that got stuck to the seed shell and kind of dried up and fell off. Growth seems normal. Bessy is slightly further ahead in growth. She popped through soil and lost her seed shell earlier.

Day 8 - Ladies seem to be growing normal. Stopped stretching for the light, tested at 10K-11K LUX at plant level. That should be more than enough for this stage. Switched on fan to increase circulation and strengthen those stems. Misting very regularly to keep humidity up as tent RH reading is always hovering around 40% Day 9 - Watered ladies with around 50ml of water. Day 10 - Lowered lamp a bit more to start getting the ladies accustomed to the intensity. Still misting regularly to keep humidity up. Jessy leaned over today when misted. Maybe she could not take the weight of the water droplets on her leaves. No snaps or bends in the stem. She just laid down. Put a support rod and added some more soil around the base of the plant. She looks normal with signs of increased vigour. Bessy is doing just fine showing increased vigour. Vegetative stage has begun. Day 13 - Watered both ladies with around 50ml of water each. Still misting regularly to keep humidity up. Day 14 - First set of side branches appeared on the stem within the first node with true leaves on both ladies. Misting regularly to keep humidity up.

Day 15 - Watered them ladies with around 50ml of water. Reduced misting frequency as plants seem to have settled in the tent. Stems have hardened with the addition of an oscillating fan blowing air away from the plants. They seem to be growing normally, pushing a node out every day from their main stem. Side branching is starting to appear on both ladies. Day 18 - Watered both ladies with around 50ml of water Day 19 - Found both ladies quite wilted. Finding it quite difficult to keep parameters in check. High temperatures and low humidity are a very big problem where I'm at right now. Watered them and they both perked back up after half an hour. Switched off one lamp to check if it makes any difference in temperatures. Day 20 - Both ladies are yellowing a bit. Watered them again as soil was dry. Will have to re-pot soon. Too much hassle with these small pots.

Day 22 - Cleaned all lower growth from both ladies to start preparing for mainlining. Doing things gradually so as not to stress plants. Planning to transplant and top them for the first time this week. Day 23 - Watered ladies with around 60ml of water. New growth is all green and lush. Day 26 - Transplanted both ladies in bigger pots and put Bio-Tabs Mychorrizae to minimize transplant shock. Watered until soil was fully saturated with nutrients listed above.

Day 29 - Topped both ladies at the fifth node and removed any growth below. Growth exploded since transplant and first dose of nutrients. Day 30 - Watered both ladies with around 100ml of water. They recovered from the topping and look as healthy as can be. Very happy with progress. Day 32 - Misted both ladies. Will water tomorrow with another dose of light nutrients. Day 33 - Watered both ladies with around 250ml each. Increased dosage slightly from last feed to see how they take it. Day 35 - Both ladies taking the feeding like champs. Vigorous growth showing in both, planning to top them again next week and remove any growth below the topped nodes. Misted to keep them nice and hydrated.

Day 36 - Removed first set of side nodes on both main growth tips of both girls. Would have been removed further on anyways so might as well use energy where it's actually needed. Both still growing strong as you can see from the photos. Day 38 - Watered both ladies with about 250ml of water as their pots felt light and I could notice a slight droop on some leaves. Still battling with low humidity. Hopefully things will start looking up soon as the weather cools down. Spent some time actually looking at these ladies today. Noticed some slight differences. Both took the topping at the fifth node like champs. Recovered very fast from the training. From 7 bladed leaves they went back to 5 bladed leaves then up to 7 bladed leaves again the next node up. Internodal distance is stable and not too long. Planning to top them again in a couple of days when I have enough space between the nodes to actually make the cut. Jessy's leaves after the topping look and feel the same as the ones underneath. She grows with vigour. Bessy's leaves after the topping look and feel slightly different. They remind me of the first leaves on a seedling. They look "young". Next node up and leaves look normal again. Bessy is always the first one to start showing signs of thirst. She also has the largest pot (not by much). She also grows with slightly more vigour than her sister. Day 40 - Topped both ladies again and removed any side shoots under the topped node. Leaving leaves on so as to maximise photosynthesis and push those main growth tips. Watered both about 250ml of water with feeding noted above. Growth is still lush and green. Upped feedings as they seem to be taking it like champs. Feeding only once a week with plain waterings in between. Day 42 - Ladies growing nicely.

Day 45 - Both plants are showing some form of deficiency on older leaves. New growth still growing lush. Jessy is growing branches from older nodes. Don't know how to explain it, but I added a photo for reference :) Day 47 - Removed mutant growth. Defoliated lower parts of both ladies, increasing airflow as finally humidity is going up after the first rain. Day 49 - Did not feed both ladies this week, just gave them water when they needed. Was told by fellow growers that I was overfeeding my plants and locking out nutrients. Will start feeding slowly again when they recover fully. They are both still growing strong, just some discoloration on lower fan leaves. Jessy seems to be a stretchier pheno, showing nearly double the internodal distance when compared to Bessy. Side shoots are also further along when compared to her sister. Bessy has been praying these couple of days. She is loving it! Growth is very compact, I'm kind of preferring her a little bit over her sister, even though I shouldn't pick favourites (for now).

Could anybody help point me in the right direction please? Are these plants showing any deficiency? If yes, what is it? Noticed that some leaf blade edges look lighter and the older leaves are showing some yellowing between the leaf veins. Thanks in advance!

I don't see a whole lot to be worried about myself... Bessy MIGHT be headed for some calicum issues but she looks beautiful as does Jessy! To avoid any calcium issues, I guess I'd tell you to notch down the Top Max some... it's pretty much all nitrogen (NPK: 4-0-0) and a nitrogen toxicity, if it comes to that, would lockout not only calcium but other nutes as well. Beautiful grow... you've done really well!!

Day 51- Fed both ladies 500ml of water each with nutrients listed above. They have been receiving only water for over a week to flush any excess nutrients in the soil. New growth does not seem to have any deficiency so I'm assuming that we are out of that nutrient lockout. Day 52 - Both ladies are praying. They are loving it. Growth exploded from yesterday's feeding and new growth is looking very lush. No more signs of deficiency for now. Will start training them again in a couple of days, topping them again and removing any side growth from underneath the topped node. Leaving as much leaves as possible to promote more photosynthesis. Mychorrizae appeared again on the top soil after yesterday's watering so soil is still alive. Chia cover crop has not sprouted yet. Day 54 - Watered both ladies with around 500ml of plain water each. Topped them again. Each plant has 8 main growth tips. Left side branches underneath the topped node for now to see how they grow and fill out.

Day 57 - Transplanted both ladies in 3 gallon pots. Used only BioBizz AllMix and some Bio-Tabs Mychorrizae to reduce transplant shock. Both plants do not seem 100% happy, they are showing slight yellowing (or light green) growth throughout. Will be giving only water until things settle down. There should be enough nutrients in the new soil to sustain growth. Hopefully things get better. Other than the slight discoloration, both plants are still growing, pushing out new growth daily. Day 60 - Both ladies seem to be recovering from whatever deficiency/lockout they were experiencing. Transplanting them seems to have done the trick. Leaves turning a nice shade of green again and growth seems normal. Both plants are praying, they seem happy 😁 Day 62 - Gave both ladies 1 litre of water each with nutrients listed above. Day 63 - Both ladies seem to be loving life right now. They are taking the feeding regime like champs and growing vigorously. Both bushing out. This might get tight with 4 photoperiods and 2 autoflowers growing in a tent 😂 Jessy got some defoliation from the central part of the plant to expose lower growth to more light and open her up to more air circulation through the canopy. Bessy will get the same treatment soon. She is a stretchier pheno, slightly less bushy but beautiful none the less. Would be interesting to note any differences in the finished product.

Day 65 - Bessy got some needed defoliation as the central part of the plant was becoming too dense. Lower nodes were exposed to direct light and air circulation through plant was increased. Bessy has longer internodes than Jessy, but is not lanky in growth. Day 66 - Both ladies showed signs of a very slight nutrient burn on the leaf tips. They will be getting only water tomorrow to avoid any more damage. First time growing photoperiod cannabis, the practical learning curve is real! Day 70 - Thinned out both ladies, starting from the bottom and removing any branches growing inwards and lower leaves and growth. Also defoliated a bit from the top of the plants to expose lower growth to more light. Loving the way they are both growing, slightly different phenos.

Day 71 - Both ladies do not show any signs of stress from yesterday's lollipop and defoliation session. Both still growing vigorously. All seems well for now. 🙂 Day 76 - Flushed both ladies thoroughly in the shower to remove any buildups in the soil. Jessy got some slight defoliation through the canopy. Bessy got a major trim as she is a stretchier pheno and things were getting a bit unbalanced with her and another tall plant at the back with her. Cut back around 10 stems, trying to create an as-even-as-possible lower canopy. Day 77 - Both ladies look hungry, will feed them next watering

Day 80 - Light round of defoliation on both ladies. Getting bushy in there 😂 Day 81 - Watered both ladies, each with 1 litre of water including nutrients listed above. They are going to love this feeding after quite some time without and a soil flush last week. Both growing vigorously. Jessy is getting quite dense in the central part of the plant. Removing any leaves in the way daily. Will have to lollipop her further up for sure when the time comes to flip. Bessy grows with taller internodes and leaves space for light and air to pass through her easier than through her sister. Day 84 - Watered both ladies with 0.5 litres of plain water. Jessy looked droopy and pot felt light. Even though she's a bushier and squatter plant (less biomass), she seems to drink more than her sister who definitely has more biomass.

Day 86 - Major training session on both ladies today. Things were getting too crowded with 4 photos (80+ days veg) and 2 autoflowers that both seem to have around a month left in them. Topped all upper branches and stripped most of the undergrowth, leaving only 2-3 nodes on every branch. Took me over an hour to do all four plants but in the end tings look much better in the tent. Now onto a hopefully short recovery on all plants. Day 89 - Both ladies are recovering from last training session. New growth is all lush and green. Very happy with both phenos of the Strawberry Chemdawg OG that I got. Remembering that I still got another bean makes me even happier!

Day 100 - Officially 100 days of vegetative growth. Plants are in need of a transplant but due to my current tent situation, I cannot transplant for now. They were also getting too much light throughout the whole of last week. Got super busy at work and kind of neglected the garden a bit. Lights went up and ladies were watered 1 litre of water each with nutrients listed above.

Day 108 - Plants got neglected these couple of weeks as I was occupied with other personal matters. I ran into some issues. Plants got slightly burned by being too close to the lights and some Cal-Mag deficiencies which where left unattended for some time. Started giving CalMag with every feeding now and things are starting to get better. Both plants are turning green again with new growth being nice and lush. Will not train them anymore for now unless they need some minor defoliation. Today I harvested an autoflower that was growing in the same tent and moved the plants around so they have more space and air circulation in and between them. Both plants are begging to be flipped to flower, but there's the last auto to be harvested. Planning to harvest her in about two weeks. Then SCROG net and flip all four photoperiod ladies to flower. Going to be an exciting one!!! Day 110 - Topped both ladies to try keep height in check as worried that come stretch time we might have some height problems. Maybe just me being paranoid... 😅

Day 125 - After a short hiatus from posting updates on my diaries I should be back to posting regularly. Both plants are still recovering from phosphorus deficiency and/or nutrient lockout they went through. My bets are on wrong PH but I cannot confirm until I get a proper meter. Both plants are growing vigorously but colour could still get better, especially Bessy. Put lights up again to see if maybe they are getting too much intensity but PPFD meter would suggest otherwise. SCROG net will be installed in a couple of weeks and both plants trained under it with another 2 plants. Tent will be flipped when sufficient SCROG coverage is achieved but I'm guessing it's not going to be long. They will be transplanted in 7 gallon fabric pots with living soil for the final stretch of their lives. Hopefully these small problems will be solved by then to go into flower with full force.

Day 128 - Both plants getting greener and showing increased vigour once more. Checked roots and they both have a lot of fresh white fuzzy roots allover the soil mass. They will be needing a bigger pot very soon. Harvesting last auto in 2 days and then all photos will get a well deserved transplant. Home made living soil has been cooking for over a month! Increased watering to 2 litres per plant every 3-4 days as noticed that 1 litre was not enough to saturate soil properly. So wet-dry cycle was not being done properly. Could have been the cause to the many deficiencies I had lately.

Day 130 - Transplanted ladies in 30 litre fabric pots with a home blended living soil. Added mycorrhizal spores around root mass. Watered immediately with 5 litres of plain water to saturate soil and activate spores. Day 132 - Growth exploded, growth is finally back to lush green after a very long growth period. Day 135 - Flipping them very soon. Will put a SCROG net in 2 days as I will finally have time to set everything up properly. Cleaning the whole tent before setting everything back up to start flowering in a clean setting. Jessy sill be easy to train under the net for sure due to the way she grew and where I'm planning to set the net. Bessy on the other hand will be slightly more challenging as she is quite taller than her sister. Nothing that some LST will not fix. She has almost half the tent (100x50) for herself so should be fine under the net. Day 136 - Removed everything from the tent and gave a proper clean-up. Sanitised everything with sanitiser spray. Set up SCROG net and put plants underneath it. Bent any branches that needed to and let them be. Day 138 - Lollipopped all ladies as best as I could and started arranging tops in position under the net. Took me around 3 hours of very uncomfortable work tucked in between plants in awkward positions to lollipop everything on 3 ladies. Collected 7gallon pot worth of leaves and stems. Day 139 - Plants started recovering from the training session. New growth is lush and green and SCROG net filling nicely. Will flip on the 4th of January as I will be on holiday and want to be present during flower to keep an eye on RH.

Day 141 - Plants filling out the SCROG net nicely. All side nodes that were covered by upper growth are now getting more direct light, thus growing faster. Moving tips that are growing faster to the next square up to always leave an even canopy as possible. Jessy is growing beautifully with big fan leaves and stacked growth on all stalks. She really wants to flower now. Bessy is also growing very nice but not as nice as her sister. She is still recovering from the training session she got to be out under the SCROG net. Day 142 - Watered each plant with the following: 4 litres water including 8ml BioBizz BioGrow 4ml BioBizz Fish-Mix 4ml BioBizz TopMax 4ml BioBizz CalMag 1.5 litres water to achieve some run-off but none noticed. Decided to stop watering. Dumping 16 litres of water in the room at one go should be enough. 🙂 Growth is lush and the now-exposed side nodes are filling all the central SCROG squares nicely. Should be filled up nicely in about a week, just in time with the planned flip to flower. Day 144 - Round of defoliation and moving heads around today to keep canopy as even as possible. Day 145 - Watered with 5.5 litres of plain water each to prevent any build-ups before flipping to flower in 5 days and starting bloom nutrients. Moved some more growth tips around to maximize canopy coverage. Main growth tips have reached their final square as there is nowhere to move them around now. Just some more playing around in the central part in the coming days before the flip. Day 146 - Plants growing nicely 😊

Flower Day 1 - Stripped all ladies nice and proper to focus all their energy to bud sites with actual potential. Cleared everything under the screen and some stuff from above as well. Took around 3 hours of back breaking work crouched between plants under the screen. Note to self: DO NOT VEG PLANTS FOR THIS LONG AND IN THIS WAY! Watered each lady with the following: 4l water including: 8ml Bio-Bizz BioGrow 4ml Bio-Bizz BioBloom 4ml Bio-Bizz FishMix 4ml Bio-Bizz CalMag 4ml Bio-Bizz TopMax 1.5l plain water to try to induce some run off but still none. Stopped watering so as not to raise humidity too much. Flipped light schedule to 12-12 to induce flowering. Now onto the stretch phase. Another SCROG screen is going to be set up plus I have 2 elastic SCROG nets that can be quickly set up just in case they are needed. Let the fun times start! Flower Day 2 - All three ladies seem to have started stretching. Most growth tips are praying, signalling that the plants are very happy in their environment! 🙂 Flower Day 4 - Watered each lady with the following: 6l water including: 12ml Bio-Bizz BioGrow 7ml Bio-Bizz BioBloom 7ml Bio-Bizz CalMag 7ml Bio-Bizz TopMax

What would be needed for sure is more light as the far ends lack the proper light intensity. Flowering day 25 - Both ladies stacking nodes with white pistils. Trichome production started on fan leaves, quite impressed at the amount to be honest. Not complaining 🙂 Both ladies started to smell, one smells really piney, hits your sinuses hard. The other lady smells sweet but very mellow still. Loving to see them progress everyday. Flowering day 26 - Gave each lady the following: 6l water 13.3ml BioBizz BioGrow 20ml BioBizz BioBloom 6.7ml BioBizz CalMag 6.7ml BioBizz TopMax 16.7ml Blackstrap molasses Put lights up a bit as top colas were getting 1.5k PPFD and I got a bit scared 😳

Flowering Day 29 - Both ladies packing trichomes on both sugar and fan leaves. New white Pistils pushing everyday and buds are starting to stack in nice sized colas. Will water again tomorrow as soil is not as dry as I would like it to be when watering. Very happy with their progress so far, it's been a very long way but at the end it will be worth every second. Smell is intensifying every day. Flowering Day 31 - Watered each lady with 5l of plain water. Flowering Day 35 - Gave each lady the following: 6.5l water 13.3ml BioBizz BioGrow 26.7ml BioBizz BioBloom 6.7ml BioBizz CalMag 6.7ml BioBizz TopMax Jessy started bulking up weight, calyxes started swelling slowly and trichomes packing heavily around all bud sites. Smells very strong when touched. Sweet creamy zest and sour berries. Bessy is a slower pheno, still shooting new white Pistils, creating longer, solid colas. Trichome production is very close, if not equal to her sister's, even though she looks like she will take longer. Bessy smells more piney when touched but still has the sweet creamy zest undertones of her sister. Really looking forward to harvest!!!

Flowering Day 39 - Both ladies swelling and aromas getting stronger and more distinct. Jessy now is smelling creamy and more of over ripe sour berries and zest. Beautifully intoxicating terpene profile. Bessy smells more grassy with creamy zest undertones. They will get a feeding tomorrow as soil not as dry as I would like it before watering. Flowering Day 40 - Gave each lady the following: 7l water 7ml BioBizz BioGrow 28ml BioBizz BioBloom 7ml BioBizz CalMag 7ml BioBizz TopMax 17.5ml Blackstrap molasses

Flowering Day 44 - Watered both ladies with the following: 5l water including 5ml BioBizz BioGrow 5ml BioBizz CalMag 20ml BioBizz BioBloom 20ml BioBizz TopMax 12.5ml Blackstrap molasses 25ml blended fresh Aloe Vera Flowering Day 45 - Both ladies looking super happy! Jessy started turning purple, calyxes swelling, covered in trichomes (still mostly clear) and pistils turning orange. Smells of dank creamy berries with hints of sweet zest fill the house every time I touch this lady. She looks like she will be finishing first from this tent. Bessy on the other hand is still pushing out white Pistils. Calyxes started to swell and I would say that she is a heavier trichome producer than her sister as even the leaves are encased! Her colour is still green with no hints of purple like her sister. Flowering Day 48 - Watered both ladies with the following: 6l water including 6ml BioBizz BioGrow 6ml BioBizz CalMag 24ml BioBizz BioBloom 24ml BioBizz TopMax

Flowering Day 53 - Fed each lady with 6l of water including nutrients listed above. Last week of feed then I will start flushing medium. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with some still clear. Flowering Day 54 - Ladies doing marvellous. Checked trichomes again and confirmed my previous decision of giving them last week of feed and then start with 10-14 days of flushing. Giving just water normally without feeding, not dumping massive amounts of water through the soil. Cannot wait!!!

Lovely strain to work with. Had two different phenos. One was bushier with short internodes and the other one was more open with longer internodes. Both were a delight to grow! Removed some fan leaves and hung both ladies to dry in the tent with a dehumidifier and fan on. Will be checking parameters frequently the first few days to check that everything is ok in there. Planning to dry them for as long as possible. A slow and steady dry. Will dry trim before curing.
