7/10/2018 Planted one seed in a Jiffy Pot full of used and depleted potting mix that had been dampened with water. Placed it in my cloning chamber.
7/12/2018 Added about 1 ounce of water to bottom of chamber.
7/13/2018 The little bugger popped out of the soil while I was at work. Moved it to a window so it could get some light.
7/14/2018 First pair of leaves are just visible. Removed seedling from chamber.
7/15/2018 Hung a grow light in the closet and placed seedling underneath. Have been providing enough water to keep soil moist.
7/18/2018 Tiny true leaves are now visible.
7/19/2018 Placed plant, pot and all, into a 5 gallon container with about 1 inch of aquarium gravel in the bottom and filled the rest with depleted potting mix. Watered it in with nute solution. Raised light so it is still 16" above plant. Have had light set at 100% veg.
7/20/2018 Gave the plant a little water. Brought bloom light up to 25%. Keeping veg at 100%. Set timer for 18 hours.
7/22/2018 True leaves are clearly identifiable now.
7/24/2018 Fed plant with a teaspoon of molasses dissolved in a liter of water. pH took a bit of a dip for a couple of days then returned to normal.
The molasses actually doesn't do much for the plant aside from providing some micro nutes. It is mainly to give the bacteria a sugar high and get to making more bacteria.
7/26/2018 Running the A/C for about 10 hours per day now. It is getting into the hotter part of the year. Still keeping an average of 85 degrees.
7/30/2018 Noted some upward curl partially along the edge of one leaf. No other leaves are exhibiting any curl at all. I'll write it off as a weird leaf and not worry about it. The soil is still moist just below the surface so I am holding off on watering (it is still small and doesn't need all that much water yet.)
07/31/2018 Fed her with 3/8 teaspoons Nature's Care Natural All-Purpose food dissolved in 2 liters of water with a drop of dish soap mixed in.
08/03/2018 Topped and trimmed her today.
08/04/2018 pHed 2 liters of water to 6.4 and added 1 teaspoon molasses. Fed plant with it.
08/07/2018 Dissolved 1/8 teaspoon Miracle-Gro in 2 liters of pHed water and fed plant with it. New leaves look kinda scrunchy and older ones are curled. It just seems to be simple heat stress. Set veg and bloom both at 50%.
08/08/2018 Still see some signs of heat stress but looking much better now. Started training her. Also did a bit of pruning.
08/10/2018 Did a little more training.
08/14/2018 Fed her with 1/2 teaspoon Grow Big in 2 liters of water. Did a bit of trimming.
08/17/2018 Mixed 0.6 teaspoon in 2 liters of water and fed plant with it.
08/19/2018 Raised light and cranked veg and bloom up to 100%. Did some training.
08/20/2018 Mixed 2 teaspoons Big Bloom in 2 liters water and fed plant with it. Did more trimming and switched to 12/12 lighting.
08/21/2018 Flipped her to 12/12.
08/22/2018 Gave her 1 liter of water. Reduced light to 85% bloom and veg (looked like there was a bit of leaf burn.)
08/24/2018 Mixed 1 teaspoon molasses in 2 liters water and fed her with it. She was still thirsty so I gave her an additional liter of water.
08/25/2018 Raised the light some.
08/26/2018 Cranked light back up to 100% bloom and veg.
08/27/2018 Mixed 3 teaspoons Big Bloom in 3 liters water and fed her with it.
08/29/2018 Gave her 1 liter of water.
08/31/2018 Gave her another 3 liters of water.
09/03/2018 Gave her 3 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom in 3 liters of water.
09/05/2018 Trimmed some leaves.
09/09/2018 Mixed 1 teaspoon Tiger Bloom in 2 liters water. Fed her with it.
09/10/2018
Trimmed more leaves to expose more buds to light.
09/11/2018 Gave her a bit of water to tide her over til the next scheduled watering.
09/15/2018 By order of the local F,D, I was required to take down the grow lights. I moved her outside as a result. It is late enough in the season that I don't have to worry about re-vegging. The downside is that the only area that I can put her only gets a few hours of direct sun each day. Mixed 2 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom in 4 liters water and fed her with it.
09/17/2018 Gave her 4 liters of water.
10/03/2018 Got some rain during the night. She needed a bit of a drink.
10/06/2018 Misted and watered her. Trichomes are looking yummy. I will be chopping her soon.
This stuff is a pretty fun ride. Starts with a mild body buzz. Then a somewhat giddy happiness hits (I recall expressing satisfaction with the results of this grow in a rather animated fashion.) Once that passes the rest of the ride is happy relaxation.
10/10/2018 Chopped her, did some trimming and hung her to dry in the closet for about a week.
10/17/2018 Cut the dried buds from the branches and put them in a Ball jar to cure. Sampled a bowl. Liked it so much I just had to give some to friends. This one is my best grow yet.
I went ahead and chopped her on the 10th. Got 104g of wet bud 'n' branches. Looks like I will end up with about 30g of dried buds. I see the densest buds I've ever had on any other grow. Can't wait to try this fine herb (as I am currently vaping buds from my previous Sweet Tooth grow.) 😋
Yes. I like that the nodes are only about an inch apart. I have gotten better at managing the lighting (having a light meter, even a cheap one like I have, really helps.) For the record, I'm only running about 250 watts output right now. Won't go to full power until bloom.
The flowers are developing nicely though slower than my other grow but at pace for this strain. My other grow is FastBuds GSC so I'm not surprised that it is further ahead.
Hey bro! Awesome grow! I’m running in the Fastbuds iPhone contest , if you could stop by my 2xGSC-COCO journal and leave a comment I’d really appreciate it! Goodluck!
Things are progressing nicely. Did some pruning and training. I think I will switch over to Fox Farm nutes for the rest of this grow (finally got my hands on some of that stuff.)
