Rooted in 3 out of 3 Feminized Seedsman Jack Herer in RapidRooter in a tray, covered so it was dark.
I have 2 older plants which germinated about 2 weeks ago. 2/4 germinated that run, and only one seedling is strong out of the two. Don’t think it was dark enough for those seeds. Of the 4, 3 were Seedsman Jack Herer and 1 was Seedsman Peyote Gorilla. Sadly, the Peyote Gorilla didn’t germinate and it was my only seed of the strain.
So, 5 plants total as of right now. The little one probably won’t make it, but 4 plants will be too many for my 4x2 tent. Maybe use 3 gallons and scrog? Any thoughts?
Transplanted the seedlings into 4” pots. Waiting to top them. Just cleaned/sterilized the tent and about to move them inside. My last run had mildew 😭 I have a new oscillating tent fan this time around!
These babies have been sitting under a cheaper plant light clip I use for my other indoor plants. Using Fox Farm Happy Frog, when moving to larger fabric pots I switch to Fox Farm Ocean Floor.
I’ve been so busy at work I haven’t been keeping up with my nutrient schedule, so they’re a little small right now. Going to be better about it when I move them to the tent!
Finally have a day off and got the babies into 3 gallons and into the tent today! I used Fox Farm Ocean Floor to repot. Running behind schedule in veg, but ready to see them take off. Also taking them off 24/0 light schedule and putting them on 18/6. Last grow I had a spider mite AND a mildew problem (sad face) so I sanitized the heck out of the tent and got a new oscillating fan. You can see it blowing the plants around in the video, making them all strong and shit lol.
Waited a little long to top the three shorties. Made a little time lapse from weeks 4.5 and 5.5, kind of cool to watch them puff up and grow! They’re coming along nicely!
Did some defoliation to get ready to flower. Took off a ton of huge fan leaves. Don’t really think I removed enough, honestly. Removed a couple lower, small branches and chopped the top 4 nodes of my tallest plant. It was getting too tall for the tent, and is now the same height as the others. Put the cuttings in some rapid rooters with rooting hormone. Will hopefully have 6 clones total!
Flipped to flower this last night! Going from 18/6 to 12/12. Did a light defoliation last week. Put the trellis in too. Upgraded my fan as well, so my humidity and tent temp are lower. I have a dehumidifier running outside of the tent also. Had issues with mildew/mold last time and I am traumatized.
Tried to do SCROG but I probably should have started the training earlier. There are some holes in my canopy.
The ladies are really putting on some height this week! Starting to smell good too. At the end of my video you can see the little plant that could - was originally going to trash it but it started coming back so I gave it a little spot in the corner to fill in. Getting her repotted this week.
My AC Infinity self-watering fabric pot bases came in as well, really excited to get that going tomorrow.
My humidity is so high this week. Put the dehumidifier in the tent since temps are dropping, but I can’t seem to get it down below 70%. Ordered some DampRid but they sent the Fresh Scent one 🤦♀️🏻 Other than that, flowers are looking good so far. Trying to defoliate but it’s hard to reach the back of the plants since my tent is against a wall.
With the AC Infinity bases, I’ve been using water in the reservoir and hand-watering the nutrient mixture. I’m worried I’ll overwater and it may be contributing to my high RH. Going to try putting the liquid nutes right in the reservoir, and doing Big Bloom 1x/week with a top feed.
Finally was able to get my humidity down! I had to leave the door open to the room since it wasn’t exhausting outside. Cracking the window wasn’t enough. Also added a small dehumidifier inside the tent.
Plants seem to be doing well with the nutes right in the AC Infinity watering bases. I manually fed Big Bloom since it’s full of sediment and I was worried it wouldn’t work with the wicks. They’re pretty handy so far, but I’m worried I’ll have to clean them out before the grow finishes.
Had to move my oscillating fan to where my camera was, so my timelapse is going to be screwed up. Oops.
One plant is super close to my light, hoping she will stop stretching soon…
Excited to see those frosty sugar leaves coming in!
So far so good. No major changes in week 11. Added my second trellis in. Timelapse should be done by next week. I can only do 30 days max so will have to start another and stitch the two together.
One of my plants looks like it may have nitrogen claw so I plan to flush with some plain water tomorrow.
Ladies are looking (and smelling) pretty good! Loving my Christmas trees lol. Few weeks left, should be ready to harvest around the new year. No mold and no pests so far, fingers crossed for a strong finish!
Welp, I jinxed myself lol. Found some nanners this week. Going to harvest in a week I think so hopefully it won’t make a difference. I was like, what are these little guys, I’ll just pinch them off… then POOF. Pollen. Sigh. Also, looks like one of my buds is starting to foxtail. Probably too close to my light. I’ve turned it down.
Checked out the trichs with a loupe, couldn’t find much amber. Getting milky though!
