This is my first indoor grow, any thoughts on how my girls are looking? Do they seem to be going as they should or is there anything I need to do? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sfcbcraig, Your plants look great but I can see some small problems. When you water you need to lower the pH from your water to 6.2 And nutrients should be around EC 1.5 You can measure all of this with a pH and EC meter. If you do not have one already the cheap versions work good enough (they are precise till EC 0.1). Without it is just gambling what you give. And next time consider to train your plant. The top part of your plant will recieve a lot more light then your bottom part. I would cut 30% from the bottom so that your plant is focussing on those big fat buds on top! Happy Growing! 😋

I updated my diary info. This is only my second time growing, I have 6 plants growing outside that are doing very well but wanted to expand my ability to grow year round. I use Canna big bloom for nutrients, but maybe I'm not using enough, 1 cup/plant/week, is this enough?

You are using enough! When you do not have a EC and pH meter I would recommend buying one because otherwise you don't know howmuch you are giving. Otherwise you can measure. pH should be 6.2 and EC should be around 1.5 (do not give more then EC 1.8). But a great rule is to not exceed more nutritions then 50% of what they advice on the nutrients bottle. Nutrients are not the main dish of cannabis. They are like vitamines. More nutrients is not always better! Happy Growing! 😋

That is a lot of feed, Please take photos of the directions and nutrients you are using. This seems outlandish in terms of strength and a big waste of your money. You have a phone and camera so this should be something that's available to you. I would also look at trying to keep the diry updated every week, good to document everything. Good Luck! ***disclaimer, multiple people are answering all questions as there is a contest called GOTM, when a user is selected as the answer they get a point. Seriously? 1 cup?! First, I can't find any Canna nutes labelled "Canna Big Bloom" - secondly, no one in their right mind will tell you that using one cup of ANY nute per plant is "enough" ... they'd be saying "WHAAAAAATTTTTT????!!!!!!" So please... read the instructions and go from there. You haven't updated your diary that I can see... and you certainly haven't added this outdoor grow... which would be a great idea if you want advice on it!

Thanks all, I messed up and closed the question. So Dutch, I should prune the bottom of the plants? I didn't train because what I read was not to train autos. But I should definitely prune off the bottom 30%, please confirm?

It is not about light reaching or not reaching the bottom leaves. It is about the fact that these buds will never develop into more then popcorn buds while the plant is using a lot of energy to produce them. More energy then the bottom leaves will gain from that small amount of light that they recieve. I would cut at least the lowest 2 nodes also because these leaves are damages already!

And Hashy how do you want to LST a tall plant with her main cola far from the others while it started to flower already??? The main branch is too hard and woodlike already to bend in any shape!!! I see a lot of growers that think that bending the bottom branches away from the plant is LST... this doesn't do and improve shit!!! The reason for using LST is to bend the main branch down so that all the branches will eventually reach the same height and for that recieve the same light intensity from the lamp.

Sorry for all the questions, new to this. The pics are showing some yellow fan leaves near the bottom, Ph and soil test shows everything is okay, but I'm concerned I may need to up the nitrogen some more. Any input would be appreciated, should I prune them?

I would flush them with recharge in the water or a seaweed/kelp extract. When flushing you are also losing microbiology and that needs to be restored to get the plant back on track. The Rhizome bacteria help the roots feed. A different quick fix is to add 3 TBSP of a 3-5-6 in 2 gallons of water overnight. It would reduce ph imbalances ( plus rebalance the media) and more than likely has the bacteria needed to get his ladies fed better. 3-5-6 Tomato and Vegetable Fertilizer, .00. Run that for next 3 weeks and then begin to reduce at week 6 ( decreasing amount of fertilizer that sits in water overnight by 1 TBSP). Ya, sounds crazy, but look up what healthy soil does for plants and I may not sound so crazy. You can add all the nutrients you want, but if the biological components of the soil are crap…so will be the yield. Nutrients don’t make bomb bud….bacteria and fungus do.

Dutch is correct about the need to flush plant, then give it a few days to recover. The lower branches will not develop nice buds and will rob energy and nutrients from top buds development. It's better to sacrifice them sooner rather than later. But it is possible to bend a plant, I've had to do so before. It's just a little tricky. First, you need to secure the pot so it will not move. This step is critical and cannot be skipped. Because then you will tilt the pot between 10 and 20 degrees. There, you've already begun reducing the height. Now attach a string to the plant just below top bud (I like to use a pipe cleaner hook because it will unbend before the branch breaks). Using a very heavy weight directly under the bud, gently draw the bud down up to about 45 degrees (this may take a couple of days). The main main stem should form an arc and the bud will slowly adjust and continue to fill in. Remember, the intensity of light drops off rapidly - dense buds are only formed in top 12 inches or so when growing indoors. So spread it out, not up! Back to the dark side

@GrowMasterBhound708, Clearly your 2 diary posts make you an expert, maybe provide some actual advice since I'm new to growing, otherwise don't bother providing your ignorant comments.

I'll second what growinggrannie has said they are looking fine. They are now in flower, fully stretched now also so get the p-k added as much as you can you'll be rewarded
