Hi guys,
it's been a short while but I'm back with a big ass upgrade of my grow space and a frickin' great selection of the finest seeds so without further ado, let me introduce you to the Karel Herer's Haze by Super Sativa Seed Club (which were also kind enough for letting me try this strain) . It'll be the fifth seed of six in the Hydro setup.
I'll do my best, Sir!
The other beasts of beans are:
- Amsterdam Amnesia by Dutch Passion (which were kind enough to let me try this strain) (Hydro)
- Cali Crasher from Doctor's Choice (Hydro) (which were kind enough to let me participate in their test run)
- Kali Mist by Seeds Mafia (Hydro)
- Peanut Butter OGKB by Original Sensible Seeds (Hydro) (which were also kind enough to sponsor this season with a few awesome strains from a great bunch that will be giving the opportunity to Wow the viewer in the next season)
- Runtz Gum by Original Sensible Seeds (Hydro)
- Green Gelato Auto by RQS (Coco+Perlite mix)
- Wedding Crasher by RQS (Coco+Perlite mix)
- Gelato Auto by FastBuds (Coco+Perlite mix)
- Cherry Cola Auto by FastBuds (Coco+Perlite mix) (FastBuds have been very generous with our relationship and I value it very much, pretty much like every other collaboration here, you all rock guys! Much LOVE!
- Pineapple Chunk by Barney's Farm (didn't work out, the bean didn't sprout so had to be replaced by Choco Haze by Zamnesia! (Coco+Perlite mix) (Zamnesia is also a sponsor of this season with their Choco Haze that have been patiently waiting for this moment :D )
So, all in all we have two feminized and three automatic seeds in fabric pots.
If that's not a bomb ass selection then I don't know what will make you happy :P
One more thing about this season, though. All the plants in fabric pots will be treated with the full (!) range of organic products by Green Buzz Liquids which were also super cool for letting us collaborate! I can't wait to see all the goodness in action!
Other than that I've upgraded my grow space to a perpetual grow system which means that I'll be able to harvest every 1.5-2 months instead of 3.5-4 months!!! To do that I've set up another smaller tent to the side of the old 4x4 one, this one is 3x4 so essentially the 3x4 will be the veg room with one ViparSpectra P2000 which also sponsor this Season with their frickin' awesome 3x P2000 lights and the veg tent that was super hard to find in my special configuration (I'm again very thankful ViparSpectra, you're awesome!) so it can run smoothly with the 4x4 side by side one for the veg area and 2 for the 4x4 tent. I've also bought an automatic irrigation system with wifi and bluetooth connection and an ios/android app, from a great company by the name of LetPot (they're not sponsors, but hey, who knows :P) The set up was super easy, everything is straight forward and it only took some time over the course of a few days to dial in the throughput of all the little valves. It's pretty cool to see watering overall automated in Hydro and Coco (which is also considered hydro).
As you can see, this season a very special one to me, because it shows me what good relations and the same vision are able to create. Like this wonderful moment and hopefully many to come!
If I missed something out and I remember it, I'll update this post.
See ya
XOXO
Cremo
Hello. Good to see we are in the same contest. That blacklisted left me a very negative message on my diary too. Nice to know why he's so angry. Good luck on your grow. Chuck.
@Cremo, Hello. This is how I see it. Some of the original land race strains had some hermaphroditism in them. The good breeders will put their selected females through hard stress tests to make sure they don't go hermie. And if they do the breeders will try to find the best females. I think SSSC is a good breeder and would have stressed their females so I would look to the environmental conditions. Is there a small bright light on during the dark period or a light leak near the plant, is there a big swing between daytime temps and nighttime temps. I've read that nutrient and ph imbalances will play a role in making some strain going hermie. So, I can't nail it down what might have done this, as you see it could be a number of things. I had 1 plant out of 6 go hermie in the tent of my Nova OG by Anesia Seeds (I'm not sure if they do stress tests) about 6 months ago. Why didn't the others turn? What started that one turning I still don't know. I'll put it down to the original land race strains getting some original genetics into that 1 seed. It could a few factures that combine to start it. All I can do is be diligent and try to do the right thing with the plants. Experience and learning will help. Also, if you don't know a lot of the breeders will buy their seeds from big companies in Spain that do nothing but make seeds from the clones they were sent, from the breeders and then sell them back to the breeders. There are only a hand full of breeders that make their own seeds now days. OK, Have Fun and Good Luck. Chuck.
@Chucky324, hi there :) nice hearing from you, Sir. Normally I'd ignore it but I've just checked my tent and unfortunately it turned out to be a hermit :/ I'm wondering what might've caused it...
