Soaked until she sank then into the soil.
This time I’m trying out the Earthbox root/veg sub irrigated planter. Stonington blend soil from coast of maine mixed with natures living soil autoflower and a cup of coast of maine seed starter in the middle to get things going.
I went with the root/veg mainly due to the shape. It fits in the 2.3 x 2.3 marshydro tent and two with fit in the 2 x 4 acinfinity.
Started watering thru the tube. The system seems to be working like it’s supposed to. I think I missed my opportunity to put the stretchy cover on top, but I’m okay with getting to see things.
There’s a fair bit of food in the stonington blend so I’m not sure when to start feeding. Maybe in the next week or two? We’ll see.
Anyone use the bokashi from buildasoil before?
I’m not sure about the root/veg box. It’s super easy and seems to be working, but I don’t have anything to compare it with. Guess it’s a waitandsee situation.
Top dressed with 5 tbsp of coast of maine flower/bud food, 7 tbsp of good compost, about five double handfuls of coast of maine worm castings and five tbsp of buildasoil bokashi stuff then watered it in with ph’d water and recharge.
I got out of whack with the calendar. Seed sprouted 9/17 so this is closer to week #10.
So far the Earthbox is working really well, but not nearly as well as the one with the plastic cover on.
Surprisingly purple for green crack. Really looking forward to tasting this one in a few weeks.
Chopped her at about 10% to 15% amber. Still figuring this out, but getting better.
