Started with 6 seeds : 2 Gorillas cookies, 2 Blue Hell, 3 Mohan Ram: 2 failed. I restarted 1 SAD and 1 Killer Kush.
Finally 7 plants in the grow tent under a Niello 300, vegetation mode (blue light). This light consume 120W , no heat generated; it’s a good option for September/Octobe with cool temperatures.
Choosing to start this indoor session early September; it was too difficult to grow with cold temperatures during last winter, an it will be expensive this year.
Set up ok.
Humidity maintained by a small air humidifier.
Air extractor and ventilation 15 minutes/hour.
Heat mat 20W (+1 degree)
All plants grow normally. The 2 Gorilla Cookies are the most vigorous.
4th week of vegetative period. Waiting the first signs of flowering to change the light: replacing the Niello by the Mars Hydro TS 1000.
Light feeding for the plants, just stimulate rooting system before increasing nutrients quantity.
Cool temperatures around grow tent.
Vaporization with black soap to prevent parasites attacks
Big mistake this week…I wanted a light feeding for the plant and Finally I caused the opposite effect: burning the plants by a nutrients excess. Soon I saw the first symptoms and after some researches to confirm my feeling: the diagnostic seems clear: nutrients overdose.
Reacted quickly and flushed the plants 2 times with water ph 6.3 (1/4h between the 2 watering). All old leaves extremities where burned and dry, new leaves turned in acid color and were burning too. I was sure that this session would be lost during 4 days. Today the plants are looking good, growing normally. There is no time to loose with auto flowering strains: a mistake impacts directly the final harvest, impossible to extend the vegetative period and stabilize the plants after a shock.
New light: TS 1000 Mars Hydro 24h/24: more heat in the grow tent= More frequency of ventilation and air extraction.
The CO2 booster (BUDDY BOOST）is installed.
Last vegetation week, all the plants recovered a vigorous grow. A few days lost after the nutrients excess but no irreversible damages. On the contrary we have solid plant base, and a good stretch this days: a sort of “grow kick” before flowering process. I’m still waiting to feed the plant with more than water.
New light cycle made to reduce electricity bill without loosing productivity.
-18h/10h (16h light) Mars Hydro TS1000 (cons’ 150W) + 10h/14h (4h light) niello 300 full spectrum (cons’ 120W) = 20h day/4h night.
Using the niello led that doesn’t produce heat for the last hours before dark bring down progressively the temperature in the room.
It’s 28 degrees outside today, less around the grow tent: no need more heat. But it could be freezing at any time.
- Gorilla Cookies #1 : solid plant, growing fast, very symmetrical with side branches stretching: a little beauty!
- Gorilla Cookies #2 : not far from her sister, very similar phenotype.
- Mohan Ram #1 : short plant, strong, more stressed by the OD nutrient but continuing now a vigorous growing.
- Mohan Ram #2 : short Indica structure
-Killer Kush: a robust strain (grew it outdoor) and she’s recovering a dynamic grow. Defoliated the mutants leaves burned by nutrients.
-SAD: same stage than the KK (sweet Seed Genetic…)
-Blue Hell: took a little bit Time to reconvert health and grow process. Good vertical stretch since a few days. Interesting strain.
Homogeneous plants size: Indica dominant strains selection. Better to control the light distance. The flowering period would be shorter for every strains too.
The flowering process is going on. Some plants continue a vertical stretch (killer kush & SAD) but there just 10 or 15 cm difference between the smallest and the tallest plant.
Feeding with organic nutrients + Calmag by BioBizz and some Cannazym.
Used Super Guano by Top Crop on the soil to import nitrogen for the end of flowering.
Low activity this week: 5 days with the lights off. Plants were behind a sunny window; 10h daylight, 😞. Watering by Blumat system with a solution of rain water+ calmag + Silic Boost. Despite of this « break » plants are looking good, just too much humidity in the pot.
Back to the grow tent and confortable conditions for the last weeks.
All the plants are turning yellow color. I know that is a classical color change during the end of the flowering process. But this time, with 5 different strains I suspect a problem. Lot of options: too much light duration (24h/24 light this week to compensate for the delay in the previous week= mistake)
Wrong ph ( I had to change my defaulting phmeter this week)
Nitrogen deficiency ( not enough nutrients in the soil for the last weeks…??)
Too much watering
No lethal risk, but a nutrients blockage could be a problem .
The Sweet Seeds strains develop very dense flowers, the Gorillas are supersmelly and the Blue Hell look very interesting.
Most advanced plants are the 2 Mohan Ram with rusty pistils.
May be 2 weeks more before harvest. I will start flushing.
The plants are quasi ready. Sticky flowers and intense aromatic fragrance for all.
However buds are small, may I loose too much days week 8 with reducing the light ( 18h vs 12h). Or may be we have a nutrients blockage since a few weeks, or problem of lamp distance (roasted top flowers)…?

another with late flowering: Gorilla Cookies x 2 / SAD
