meneerGreen HS Hvyweight 60 x 60 x 140 tent (in DWC).
12-9, 2 seeds placed for germination using the coffee filter method.
14-9, The 2 seeds placed in the rockwool plug, they had a small root of +/- 5 mm.
15-9, still no signs of life but I wasn't expecting that yet.
16-9, The first little plant is wriggling out of the plug, the second one is still not showing.
But first, here are the specifications of this strain,
Strain: HS Hvyweight
Genotype: 50% Indica / 50% Sativa
Flowering time: 8 weeks
Sex: Feminized
Yield: 550 - 700 grams/m2
Height indoor: 70 - 150 cm
Height outdoor: 100 - 170 cm
THC: 25%
Flavor: Coffee, Mocha, Diesel, and Citrus.
Effect: Relaxed, Happy, Euphoric.
Seed company: Hy-Seeds
17-9, First little plant above the plug and 2 small leaves visible, the other one is still not showing, gave a little bit of water.
18-9, 2nd little plant still hasn't crawled out of the plug, I'm starting to worry about this lady, the other one seems to be doing fine.
I'm afraid I damaged the little root when planting in the plug.
19-9 to 23-9, occasionally added some water with root stimulation, on the last day I saw some roots coming out from under the plug and started adding nutrients EC 1.4 and pH 5.5.
The 2nd little plant is still not doing anything, I'll leave it for now (you never know) but I'm afraid it won't make it.
I only need 1 little plant but having a backup is always nice, but we have to work with what we have so let's hope this lady keeps going strong.

Watering: 2 liters.
Temperature: 26 to 21 (lights on, lights off) RH 70 to 65% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.2
pH: 5.5 to 5.6
24-9, gave a bit of water with a nutrient solution of EC 1.4 and pH 5.5, it got a little lighter in color and it hadn't had any nutrients yet, so just a little boost, the first roots are coming out of the plug.
25-9, Today I transferred the lady to a growing container to let her grow until she can go into the bucket, I'll keep her here until she has enough roots so I can set the bucket 2 cm below the net pot right away, I could put her straight into the bucket but I think 10 liters of nutrient water is a bit excessive at this moment.
I have her in a nutrient solution of EC 1.2 and pH 5.5 to 5.6, I maintained a pH of 5.4 because it will rise a bit over the next few days, it could also easily be 6.0 but I didn't measure further this week because no water was needed, I'll measure next week and possibly replace the 2 liters and raise the EC a bit.
The rest of the week I have been sucking up some water from the container with a 60 ml syringe and spraying it over the clay pebbles and rock wool plug, I will keep doing this until the roots are hanging in the water, I have the plug quite high in the net pot so I think it will take about 1 to 2 weeks.

Watering: none
Temperature: 23 to 20 (lights on, lights off) RH 63 to 63% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.5
pH: 6.1
1-10, The roots (a few of them) are now hanging in the water, I'll wait a few more days until more are in the water, then I can adjust the bucket in the tent to a few cm below the net pot.
3-10, The roots are doing well, I'm not giving them any more water over the clay pebbles, they can reach it themselves now haha.
4-10, Today moved to the tent (60 x 60) I have adjusted the water in the bucket to pH 5.5 and the EC to 1.6, the pH will rise a bit more but that can be adjusted later.
The water temperature is 20 degrees, in the tent at the time of transfer it's 23 degrees and the RH is 67%, we'll get a better picture tomorrow, I don't have a min./max meter for this tent so the temperature is measured with the lights on, but based on the other grow in the same space, there shouldn't be much difference (I mean the temperature with the lights off).
5-10, Water temperature 21 degrees, EC 1.5, pH 6.1 after measurement, added, 200 ml (the water I drained for control) I left the EC the same but added some pH-, for this amount of water (200 ml) I adjusted it to pH 2.9, I'll check tomorrow or the day after what it has done.
7-10, Temperature nice and stable just like the RH, 24.5 degrees and an RH of 63%.
Also topped the lady.
The EC is now 1.5 after measurement and the pH 6.2, so I adjusted the water (200ml) again, this time to 2.6, will check in a few days what it has yielded.
The water temperature is now 22 degrees, I also grabbed the lux meter and it showed a value of 13000 lux at peak height, the lamp is hanging at 60 cm and running at 60% of its capacity.

This lady is doing great at the moment, I adjust the pH and EC every day when she gets water if needed to keep the values in check, so EC 1.7 and pH 5.8.
Later this week, I pruned some leaves and set up the SCROG net, she was already popping her head above it again, I’ll probably switch to 12/12 next week, I’ve found out that you need to switch to 12/12 a bit earlier in hydro than in soil.

Watering: 5 liters
Temperature: 24.1 during lights on, 20 during lights off; RH 67 to 59% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.7
pH: 5.8
I check the values every day and adjust them again; the EC and pH values are after I've adjusted them, the values before I adjust are EC 1.6 and pH 5.7. I then add (now) 1 liter of water with an EC and pH so I can get back to the indicated values, and so far, it's working pretty well.
This week, I also tied down some shoots and removed some leaves under the rack. I hung the fan under the lamp so there's a bit more wind blowing through the leaves. I noticed a few damp spots, which is strange because the RH is fine between 59 and 67%, but let's see if it helps; otherwise, I'll hang the fan back up, I haven't had any issues before.
I also set the lamp to 80% at the end of this week.
I'm going to switch to 12/12 tonight or tomorrow; it's growing pretty fast in hydro, so I don't want to get caught off guard.
I just realized I haven't noted the Silica power from B.A.C.; I've been using it since week 1, so here it is. 😐

I've been able to keep the values pretty good this week, the pH did drop a bit but by adding a higher pH (6.3 to 6.7) I've managed to keep it around 5.6 (on average), the EC was very stable.
I add the following per liter of water: 0.95 grams of Powderfeeding, 3 drops of Silica power, and 0 to 6 drops of pH-, depending on the value in the bucket at that moment.
Also, I secured some branches and pruned some leaves, it's starting to fill out nicely, I hope to get it completely full so it needs to grow a bit more.
The lamp is now hanging 38 cm from the top and is set to 80%, the lux meter shows 30,000 lux.

The pH remains a bit on the low side even though I'm no longer adding acid and averaging about a liter of water at a pH of 6.7, so I'll be replacing the bucket soon. In about 1 to 2 weeks, I'm going to start with bloom nutrients, and then it will sort itself out. If it doesn't drop further, I'll keep it like this for now.

Watering: 7.5 liters
Temperature: 23.1 at 19 (lights on, lights off) RH 77 to 71% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.7
pH: 5.5 (average)
Regularly trimmed some leaves and tied down a few shoots here and there.
The pH is still dropping a bit; I did add some pH+ once, but for the upcoming week, I'm going to make a new bucket. I'll also add some flowering nutrients (PK booster) right away; it might be a bit early, but I don't want to change my water too often.
Added to 11 liters of water: 7 grams of Powderfeeding, 1 ml of Silica power (B.A.C.), 3 grams of booster, and 10 ml of hydrogen peroxide. I'll measure it again tomorrow and possibly adjust something. The EC is 1.5, and the pH is 6.3; this will probably rise a bit, but experience shows that it will drop again in the bucket (with the plant), so if it doesn't go above 6.5, I'll leave it as is. If it drops too slowly or stays stable, I can always acidify it a bit more. Bucket prepared on the 25th for the 26th.

Watering: 23 liters.
Temperature: 24.3 at 19 (lights on, lights off) RH 72 to 62% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.6
pH: 6.1 dropping to 5.3
26-11, refilled the bucket with the water I prepared yesterday with bloom nutrients/booster, the EC of the new bucket was 1.7 and the pH 6.8. Since the pH in the bucket with the plant was still 5.3, I left about 1 to 1½ liters in the bucket so that the pH of the new bucket would drop a bit.
The values are now, EC 1.7 and pH 6.1, this will drop again during the week so I will need to correct it if necessary, especially if it drops too far.
By the last day of this week, the pH had already dropped back to 5.3 despite me adding 1 to 2 liters daily with a pH of 6.8, so I replaced 7 liters with a pH of 6.5, will check tomorrow if that's sufficient.
Also added some Calmag as a precaution, 5 ml per 11 liters, so not much but they’re not asking for it yet, just purely as a precaution. Total added to 7 liters of water: 3.5 grams of Powderfeeding, 1.5 grams of PK booster, 5 ml Calmag, and 0.5 ml Silica power. I give Silica power 3 drops (0.2 ml) per liter of water I add with each watering.
I also raised the lamp, it’s now at 40 cm higher, it can't go any higher. Also found out today that the dimmer is not working anymore, which is a bummer. It was set at 85%, so now I don’t know if it’s at 85 or 100% since the dimmer is broken. The lux meter shows 40,000, which is good; the lady can even grow a bit more towards the light.
But it’s definitely a bummer not knowing where to look, the driver or the dimmer. I need to come up with something for the new round, buy another lamp and see if I can fix this one, or try to fix it and if that works, start the next round later. It’s going to cost money again anyway.
Also removed some leaves so that the lower buds can benefit from the light.

I've managed to keep the EC value fairly stable, but the pH values are a bit less stable; they're still within the margins, but I did have to add some pH+ this week to keep the pH above 5.3 (which was the lowest value). On average, I should be around 5.6 to 5.7.
Other than that, I haven't had to do much this week, and the lady is doing well.

Not much work left with this lady, everything is going great, even though I can't dim the light anymore and I assume it's at 100% now (I can't be sure since it was at 80% when it broke) but at this stage of the grow, it should be at 100%, so I'm staying positive.
It has gotten a bit warmer in the tent (25 to 26 degrees) but I'm fine with that, the lights off period is 19 to 20 degrees and that's nice, although I would have preferred it to be a degree cooler now.

Nothing crazy this week, EC and pH are pretty much under control, the last 3 days I've only given pH'd water to keep the EC from getting too high, EC 1.8 is already high for my liking.
Everything else is going smoothly, no leaves removed and I think that's not necessary anymore, just about 2 more weeks and then she should be ready, that's what I'm assuming. Next week I'll try to take photos of the trichomes again, but the last time I checked they were already looking quite milky.

This week, I gave almost the entire week acidified or adjusted water, despite that the EC remained stable at 1.7, on the other hand, I did have to regularly adjust the pH to keep it around 5.7 to 5.9.
Autumn has definitely set in the tent, which is fitting in week 7 of flowering. If possible, I actually want to have them out next week, but whether that will happen is still to be seen. However, the next HW is already eager to come in, and I mean the 19-liter bucket.
This lady is growing like a train in the veg cabinet, and I will have to top her soon. I haven't had to do that before, so I'm curious how that will turn out since she's only under a 24-watt T5 fluorescent light.

The last week for this lady, she’s coming out this weekend or maybe even before, and the new HW lady is going in, so it’s going to be busy again this weekend.
Not much else to report, just that the new light hasn’t arrived yet, so the new HW will be under 100% of its power for the first week. I hope the new light comes in soon and that everything goes well under 100%. I can’t hang the light higher than 60cm, so all I can do is cross my fingers and hope.

meneerGreen Week 17 (14-1 to 20-1) 9th week of flowering.
Watering: none.
Temperature: 28 to 20 (lights on, lights off) RH 56 to 56% (highest, lowest).
EC: 2.0
pH: 4.7
You can see that I haven't given them any water in the last few days, the EC went up and the pH dropped quite a bit, then you can immediately see how much you are actually correcting during the grow.
15-1, Today I harvested somewhat out of necessity and on the other hand, they were ready for it, the new HW was itching for a more spacious environment, so I harvested one lady and put the other back in the same day, of course, I cleaned and disinfected everything first.
The yield of wet buds, trimming waste, and fluffy stuff was not disappointing on one hand, but on the other hand, there was still a lot of fluffy stuff despite thinking I had kept it reasonably in check, so next round will definitely involve more trimming and ensuring a more open structure.
This was my first time with a DWC under LED and indoors, the previous grows were in the greenhouse with this bucket, so the work is quite different when growing under LED, I also noticed this in my 4-bucket system where it got way too crowded and where I had more fluffy stuff than buds, these are learning moments that you have when trying something new.
The buds brought a wet weight of 552 grams on the scale and the trimming waste with the fluffy stuff totaled 365 grams, so 917 grams in total, I use everything so I think that overall it will be a reasonable score but less than it could have been unfortunately.
