~Week 15/ 99-105 days from sprout ~Overall: ~VPD: OFF. Pretty high above 1.6 on average. At night it drops down significantly ~DLI: Will measure next watering ~Feeding: Done feeding for the rest of the grow cycle ~Watering: Every 2-3 days as needed Day 99 notes: Same routine as usual. Stripped off all dead or dying leaves, and then watered. This tent is about 26-36 days from harvest at this point. Flowers looking pretty good. Both Blue Cheeses are showing the same issues, and the Blueberry is the healthiest of all. The Blue Cheeses smell way better than the Blueberry though. Day 100 notes: Did not check the tent today. I will be checking tomorrow and taking pictures as well. 25-35 days left until harvest. Day 101 notes: Well. I am really not liking the look of things. A lot of people are saying the plants are going through their "natural fade" but both of these finish after between 56-63 days of flower. That means at the EARLIEST I will be harvesting in 15 days. At the latest, it'll be harvesting in 29 days. So either way the "fade" would have started a week early. Which leads to my analysis of what is going on with these plants. Brown tips, yellowing leaves, purpling sugar leaves, what is going on? The purple is easy to explain. The past week I have had a 22 degree difference between my day and night temps. Day temps have been around 85-87, while night temps have been around 61-65. The 20+ degree drop in temperature within 15 minutes is what has caused the purpling. As for the Nitrogen and Potassium, you should have a 1:1 ratio of these two during veg, and a 1:2.25 ratio during flower. I had neither of these. My plants started with Potassium deficiencies because my amendments have very little potassium in them and potassium leaches from soil very quickly. Then, because the ratio of Potassium to Nitrogen was WAY off, this caused the plant to not be able to uptake Nitrogen as well. A major hole with this theory though is that the leaves are not yellowing like a Nitrogen deficiency, Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient so the plant would take the Nitrogen from the bottommost leaves and work its way up. However, random leaves seem to be yellowing and then dying. This could be fade, but one major problem with the fade theory is that I have never seen a healthy plant have curled brown tips while fading. This, however, can actually be seen as the answer when you look at all the factors. I ALREADY had the Potassium deficiency to start with. This means that if the plant was fading, it would have brown tips too as I had them before the fade started. Anyways, only time will tell whether it is fade or lockout. If the plants fade well over the next 3 weeks and are ready for harvest then its fade. If the plants still have 4 weeks to go and will barely have any leaves left at harvest then I would say it is lockout. Day 102 notes: This is going to be a nice harvest. Defoliated and watered today. Plants are looking and smelling great. The buds on the Blueberry are the most dense flowers I have ever seen on any cannabis plant period. I am really hoping I can save some of the clones I took from that plant and replant them. While you are not supposed to guess yields, I imagine this tent will yield at least 700 grams if not more. That would put me at one gram/ one watt. Day 103 notes: Not checked today. Day 104 notes: Plants seem to be pretty hard into fade right now, or going hard into the fade. They could also be a bit deficient, but they are at the right time to start fading, though they should not be fading this hard. I am really just hoping there will be enough nutrients for these plants to finish bulking before they run out of nutrients. I should have about 2 weeks of stacking a week of ripening before harvest. Will defoliate and water again tomorrow. VPD has also been very off, like 85F/35%RH. So that could also be contributing to my "fade" Day 105 notes: Looks and smells great today. I will be giving these plants another few weeks before harvest. The branches are leaning over and many of them cannot support themselves any longer. I will be giving these plants around 15-25 days before harvesting. Then a 5-10 day dry should do them well. I am pretty excited for this harvest, and I hope to run some clones of these plants for my next run. End of week summary: Great week overall. Not the best start IMO but the plants are looking and smelling better as every day goes on. The nutrient issues are also worrying me less and less as these flowers develop properly and we draw near harvest time. Misc. comments: Would like to find a way to setup a blumat system for my next grow. I am not sure if I have space in my grow area though.

I am guessing its not an issue since cannabis photoperiod is a long night, so a little more "night" won't hurt, but would it confuse the plants or something? I would appreciate the insight.

Nothing to worrie about! I can insure you that you will not face any issues because of this. Only when you have a constant light leak during your dark period your plants might get stressed, reveg or become hermaphrodite. But a little dark period during the light time does not harm your plant. It will only cost you the photosynthesis during the time beeing dark instead of light.

Vpd has been pretty close to ideal, the pot had 1 gallon less soil so could be missing out on some nutrients? Possibly Potassium? Otherwise not sure what it could be. Does not appear to be N deficiency because the leaves are affected from the top too. What should I do to fix this

Pure and simple potassium deficiency. Add a p/k booster to your routine or up your dose if already using one.

What's going on with these clones? Not sure what it could be. They could possibly be rootbound. They should have been transplanted a few weeks ago but I did not have the space.

This problem is caused by wrong pH from the medium and a nutrient lockout because of that. The issue with cannabis plants is that they are only able to take up nutrients within a small pH window, which ranges from about 6–7 when growing in soil. If the pH is lower or higher than that, the plant cannot take in nutrients, even if they are present—thus spurring nutrient deficiencies via "nutrient lockout". You need to flush the soil. Just follow these steps. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-how-and-when-to-flush-marijuana-plants-n312

I know that it is not overfeeding, and I also know that it is not lockout. PH could be off, but I do not think so. So, what deficiency is this?

Hot dam them are some nice looking plants! typicality potassium gets yellow on the edges vs purple. purple coloration can also be caused by cooler temps and end of life, If its brown and crispy and curled up it normally means its over fed. Given that potassium is mobile I'd expect this to be on the lower growth first vs top. I feel this could be lacking a bit of Magnesium but could also be natural fade as your coming to the end of your grow. If you wanted to you could add a bit of epsom salts into the next water and call it a day. Little goes a long way, 1/4 teaspoon per plant for the size of them and monitor if it continues. FYI: We will not be notified of any reply or tag [@] in the questions part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Best Of Luck!

I took these clones 7 weeks ago and never got around to transplanting them. As you can see, they are rootbound, stretched, and stunted. My question now is, is there any way I can make these clones usable? If not, it's a lesson for next time, but I want to use these clones.

I honestly don't see why not.... once you get them into larger pots, you can top the ones that have stretched ... what to do with the stunted ones really depends on how/why they were stunted but if you tend them carefully, maybe even think about topping them as well to get new growth going, you could have quite a massive grow going from the looks of it! I wouldn't give up on them - not at all! Just get them into larger pots and get going! :-D Good luck...

How much should I be worried? She did not touch any plants directly. I cannot be certain that she had any mites on her. I am just being cautious. What is the best course of action? If my current flowering plants get mites, can I wash the mites off and still use the flowers

Good that you're being cautious! I always have a bottle of Dr. Zymes Eliminator in my stash of supplies... this or some Spinosad will take care of any leaf sucking insects (spider mites, aphids, thrips, whiteflies) and both are organic so they can be used right up to the day of harvest without any harm to either the plant or what you're smoking/using of your harvest. When you use either one, make sure you're spraying just before lights out. Good luck - hope she didn't bring any with her, although I feel it's pretty safe to say she didn't ... they usually don't attach themselves to humans and travel around like that.... so rest easy but prepare for the worst!

I will be growing 4 plants in 10-gallon pots and then transitioning to a raised bed next year. I need a way to distribute water evenly around the 10-gallon pots. I have noticed that blu-mats only water in a 6-inch radius and depth. Any way to make the water distribution better?

I would recommend 1 tropf blumat and 1 maxi blumat per pot, the maxi blumats are longer so will start watering when the bottom of the pots dry out. I would also add 1 extra drip emitter per blumat to cover a bigger area. that would make up to 4 irrigation points per pot and should be sufficient for a 10-gallon pot. And you would have enough equipment to just transfer over to raised beds without buying new stuff. Even thou I would recommend the BlueSoak for beds.
