Decided to move up from 3 x 2 gallon fabric pots to 2 x 5 gallon air pots, which fill the tent's 70cm diameter. The plan was to run two Herbies freebies - the CBD Lemon Auto and the Zkittlez Auto side-by-side.
The CBD Lemon Auto germinated first and was looking good. When I transferred the peat pellets to their air pots, the Zkittlez was just a wee hoop in the soil (see day 1 photo) whereas the CBD Lemon Auto was opening its cotyledons. The trouble is, the CBD Lemon Auto stalled there and hasn't grown since. It is for the bin tomorrow.
Which makes this my first single strain diary! Gutted about the CBD Lemon Auto but excited to see what the Zkittlez Auto can do and what I can achieve with a bigger pot after my successful first 2 gallon grow (yielded 96g dried and trimmed down to the flower, was pleased). I'm thinking the larger pot will create opportunities for a higher canopy and more, denser buds.
This girl got a misting of plain tap water on day 2 and day 7 (probably a little much on day 7, I hate that 'soaked' look in the photo). Having wet her I decided to try putting the oscillating fan on, but within ~5 minutes the seedling had collapsed onto the soil, which made me realise its a little early. Once I get the other pot out of the tent (RIP) this girl will have ideal light coverage from my lil 100W LED smack bang in the middle of the tent.
At present, the light is at 50% at 20 inches, which provides a DLI of about 14.1 at the canopy. Humidity sits at just 50% pre-watering (though shot up post-misting) and temperature averages 21.3 degrees celsius. Will focus on providing more substantive weekly updates rather than a trickle of info!
How is this going bud. The one I've got in soil is tiny compared to these. The 2 in coco have began to flower fully and should be rather nice. These look epic. Hope to see the harvest update.
@Aldo90, Thanks for checking in! I've been deferring the harvest update because I only started curing properly in jars on Saturday. I've had a wee sample but it has got me way too high to give a smoke review.
@Aldo90, Yeah bro, some of the branches are starting to sag against the tent wall because of the weight of the nugs, will try and spotlight some trichs in pics this week!
