Very interesting strain, I do recomend this one for all kinds of growers. The smoking and all its effects are very pleasent. Very pungent and fruity smell.
So decided to harvest today due to my schedule. She is ready, even though she could have more amber trichomes, but anyways, I'm in peace with my decision. I'm a bit disappointed with the outcome...11lt pot and only 115gr, seems to me very little, and she was always the strongest plant, the bushier, the finest, I wonder what happened.
I still have Malawi Gold inside the tent, so I had to improvise the drying space, went old school, floss and drawer. Gonna keep the RH around 65% and 20ºC. Hopefully by the end of the week I can try it out and do the smoke report.
Take care growers.
Smoke review
The drying process has ended. I jarred it now with 62% humidity pack. I'm a bit disapointed with the result. I find 44gr dry to be very little for such a plant...Sativa landrace, in a 11lt pot, humm, gave the same nutrients, same light, same environment as the Malawi Gold, as this one came out very shy compared to the other Sativa landrace.
This plant has always been the healthiest and the most fresh, I'm very confused with the result.
It's hard to do a proprer smoke review with such a fresh herb. She needs, in my opinion, at least 3 weeks to a month of curing in order to have more reliable results. None the less I did vape it at 230ºC and the taste was very pleasent, the smell filled up the entire room, dense and tasty clouds. The effects are quite mild for now, I presume they get more potent with the curing process.
You probably already know, but the Velokelp has some silica in it already (mono silicic acid). Not a big deal, but interesting that they have in the kelp product.
Good luck on your diary. I will follow along.
@@SanchoPanza, According to the remo nutrient website, velokelp does have some mono silicic acid (.06%). https://www.remonutrients.com/product/velokelp/
Maybe the website is wrong. They change formulas from time to time.
@Oozle, hey my friend! Thank you for checking out my grow! The velokelp I have is the ready to use foliar spray 1 -1 -1 (a sample that my grandmother gave for easter). It doesn't have silica, in fact it has 0.6% Ammoniacal Nitrogen / 0.4% Nitrate Nitrogen / 0.79% Humic Acid / 1.3% Kelp Extract and 0.9% Kelp extract derived from Ascophyllum Nodosum.
