Hi
@JemFinnaughty! With bushy plants, defoliation is highly advised, especially when flowering has begun, because bud-sites need the maximum light to properly develop and transform into fatty-sticky-smelly buds. However, remember that after 2-3 weeks of blooming, your plant won't produce new leaves anymore, so you should avoid to 'over-do' and just tuck the main fan leaves that are creating shades onto lower bud-sites. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
