Used the “directly in substrate” method as nature intended. Wetted the medium a little and I placed the seeds 1cm below the surface.
Popped down 3 Gorilla Cookie seeds from Fast Buds, heard good things about this strain and there is nothing better than try them myself.
3 days after putting them in soil sprout these little seedlings.

Day 5 - All girls are growing steadily into little ladies. Have been watering them twice daily with a spray gun to keep them moist all the time at this delicate stage.
Day 7 - The 3 little girls are powering up their roots right now and growing steady on Day 7. I am watering with some power roots by Plagron which is much needed at this first stage of root production.
Day 10 - Ladies sprinting towards maturity on day 10. They seem to be developing their third node today, at least the fastest one of the the three. In reality they all have a different growth rate and it is mostly evident in the first weeks since they are so small.
Day 12 - Growing nicely under 20 hours of light at 26 degrees Celsius.

Day 15 marks the start of week 3 and the girls are looking fine. They are very similar now and symmetrical, which is great news as I want to use a scrog net for this grow.
Day 20 nearing the end of week 3 and girls are doing it all by themselves. I just defoliated one big fan leave each and tucked downward some others to expose to light as many nodes as possible and keep the canopy level.

Day 23 - Today I installed the trellis net and started to shape the girls. They are starting to veg and grow aggressively and this is the right time to install the net and even the canopy. I’m feeding them once every 3 days for now as it seems to be enough.
Day 25 - Tucking in the ladies in the trellis net and trying to get as many bud sites exposed to the light as possible.
Day 27 - The canopy is taking shape and I can see the first signs of pre flowering 🔝
Day 31 - A lot happened from last week and the girls have filled up the scrog net full of bud sites. The stretch period has commenced in this week 5 and pistols have been shooting up from everywhere.
Started a new feeding regime for week 5 where I dropped the grow Nutes for bloom Nutes .
Day 34 - All going well for the gorilla cookies ladies, ending week 5 tomorrow!
Day 43
Gorilla cookies doing fine so far except for the middle one which has been showing signs of some sort of deficiency. I upped the NPK levels for the whole cultivar and we will see how it will evolve.
Week 8 - This week the girls have started bulking up their buds and filling them with trichomes!
Plagron’s Green Sensation and Sugar Royal are making their impact 💚🎄 Have a look at those buds ripening at Day 53.
Week 10 - Here we go … we’re at Day 64 or the very first day of week 10 from seed. It’s been a nice journey so far with no big issues except for a slight deficiency in the first week of flowering, which I duly adjusted by starting off Plagron’s green sensation or HULK juice as I like to call it.
Now we’re heading onto the finishing line with dense buds boasting an array of colours and covered in trichomes. I’m keeping the trichomes under check and currently they are 90% cloudy and 10% clear.
Day 68 - woooooooh …. Nearly there
Day 70 - Winter is coming Girls are ready for harvest and this time round I want to experiment a little. Starting today I increased the dark period to 10 hours and intend to give them 48 hours complete darkness before harvest somewhere around Day 77. The aim ? I read that simulating winter helps the plants increase their trichomes production for the last push before they die. I also decreased the temperatures and humidity levels. Will keep ya all updated 👍
It’s the start of week 11 , Day 71 and this will be their final week of life!
The girls look stupendous, covered in milky trichomes from top to bottom. Will keep them going a couple of more days with “winter is coming” light schedule of 14 hours of light and 10 hours of darkness. This is supposed to increase potency and THC, however im not sure it works. Can’t harm them anyway ;)

Week 12
I harvested 1 of 3 as I’m running out of medicine. It’s a sacrifice i had to do :)
While that one’s drying, the other two are ripening further on day 78
This was an overall easy grow which has produced high quality, super potent nugs.
I am really curious to know how much dry bud I’m left with after drying however I can already estimate a great harvest
@z3ntatonic, this was my first gorilla cookies grow so I don’t have other experiences. These three girls took 4 weeks of vegging and on the 5th week started flowering (pistols showing) This is rather normal for AUTOS in my opinion
