All 4 saplings' roots have penetrated the bottom of the jiffy pellets before being transplanted in ~1L pots of coco/perlite (70/30). I gave the nutrient solution after day 3 in the pots.
Plant #3 fell over last week, so I've added support with a bendy wire. Plant growth seems to be relatively equal across all 4 plants. I upped EC 2 days ago with around 25-30% (the total is now ~0.7).
Plants are doing well. They like the increase in nutrients. I've added some additional CalMag to the mix.
Some plants stack higher than others. I'll probably have a more sativa and a more indica pheno.
They're growing very quickly now. I bended over each plant towards their own quadrant, using bendy wires that are hooked to the side of the air pots. Within an hour or two after bending them over, the plants have already redirected their growth to the light.
When bending short, stubby plants like #4, it's important to not bend it too far. It helps to do it in steps, increasing the bend over the course of a day.
In another five days or so, I'll probably top them.
First pistils showed up yesterday. That means, in about 4 weeks, I will add Green Senstation from Plagron, and Royal Sugar from Plagron, one at a time, switched around every week.
I also added a trellis net to support the branches, as the stretch is quite severe and I don't want the branches to fall over when they are packing on buds.
Plants are showing bud sites all over the place. They stretched quite a bit; my light is now the highest it can be. I'm going to add very low doses of Plagron Green Sensation at this point. I will also alternate between Pure Zym and Sugar Royal.
Unfortunately both of the plants in the back of my tent (quadrant of a 4x4) hermed. That means I have two plants left. Somewhere I am actually glad I lost two plants, because humidity and space is finally managable again. The only reason I grew out all four plants is because they all looked very promising. Leason learned: stick to the amount of plants you need ;-)
I bumped up Plagron Green Sensation by another 0.03ml/L to a total of 0.18ml/L. If they take it well, I'll go to 0.2ml/L in another week or so. I am also using Plagron Sugar Royal interchangeably with Pure Zym.
These pics were right before harvest. I cut the plants down and hung them as a whole in the tent. Trying to use an AC to get the temps down around 60-65F or so, while maintaining a humidity of 55-60%.
I’ll post a harvest week after drying, trimming and weighing (in about 2-3 weeks probably)
