Lumatek ATS 200W.
I started with 2 Jiffy's and 1 ROOT!T. I forgot to take a picture of the Jiffys. But I soaked the Jiffy's in water and the ROOT!T in water with a drop (0.1ml) of BioBizz Root Juice.
29-10-2022
Planted the seeds in the Jiffy, and ROOT!T and placed in a propagation kit in the tent. (no light)
05-11-2022
plants sported and planted the jiffy's in the 8.5L plastic pots and added water. (light 18/6)
The ROOT!T method I used failed. :(
First week after germination.
Started to use some BioBizz products. (Root Juice, Bio-Heaven, CalMag).
The water I started with is demineralized and has an PPM of 45.
I moved the lamp to 25in (63.5cm) and turned on the lamp intensity to 60%.
I will start Bio Grow + FishMix + Alg-a-mic + acti-vera in week 2 and remove Root Juice
Water + BioBizz:
Day 1 = 1L each plant -->EC 0.270
Day 2 = 500ml each plant -->EC 0.270
Day 3 = 500ml --> EC 0.300
Day 4 = 1L --> EC 0.300
Day 5 = 1L --> EC 0.300 --> lowered the light to 22inches, Added a humidifier to keep it at 55-60%
Day 6 = 1L --> EC 0.300 --> added a second fan, 1 wasn't enough.
Day 7 = 1L --> EC 0.300 --> lowered light to 17in. humidity 55-60c
I am currently watering manually and decided to not use the Autopot, but instead get two water pumps to extract the run-off and feed. Will add pictures when done with the set up.
Lessons learned:
Should feed with 1L water instead of 0.5L since EC runoff is much higher with feeding 500ml.
I think i could have started with the lamp at 25in once i transplanted it in the final pot.
😺 Just started the second week of veg today. I prepared the water solution a day ahead so i can go straight into watering them this morning 12-11-2022. I tried to use the guidance from the biobizz schedule but i ended up have 5 liters with an EC of 2600. So what i decided it do is split the water solution and dilute it with distilled water. Before adding the distilled water, i added a bit of calmag and waited. After diluting the solution to have an EC of around 1000, I adjusted the PH back to 5.8. The other two 5L jugs, i put them on the balcony and covered them, since these are organic substances and might spoil under heat. I don't intend to store it more than 6-7 days.
I am waiting in the mail for ALG-A-MIC and ACTI VERA to add to the overall solutions, also I've bought two 3in1 testers for soil. It shows the how wet the soil is, ph level, and light level. Im not sure if it is 100% accurate but I will keep it and check it out.
Day 8 --> 12-11-2022 -->1L -->1.0 EC --> 5.8 PH
Day 9 --> 13-11-2022 -->1L -->1.0 EC --> 5.8 PH
Day 10 --> 14-11-2022 -->1L -->1.05 EC --> 5.8 PH
Day 11 --> 15-11-2022 -->1.25L -->1.05 EC --> 5.8 PH
Day 12 --> 16-11-2022 -->1.25L -->1.2 EC --> 5.8 PH (added Acti vera)
Day 13 --> 17-11-2022 -->1.25L -->1.2 EC --> 5.8 PH
Day 14 --> 18-11-2022 -->1.25L -->1.2 EC --> 5.8 PH
Lessons Learned:
Solution cannot be stored more than 24h. EC goes down and PH goes up too much to sustain adding extra solutions. I started to make the solution fresh each morning.
Removed the humidifier from the tent, because my humidity was at 65%+.
Every day i see these ladies Growing more and more. Today on the 19th of Nov I started week 3. Since I am using the bio bizz schedule for guidance, it’s specifying to start using bio bloom, alg-a-mic and top max. So I’ll add half the amount recommended.
I would like to up the bio grow this week to 1.5ml/l. Hopefully it doesn’t raise the EC to much. light intensity is at 80% since week 2.
I find it a bit strange that the bio bizz schedule would suggest that week 3 would start the flowering stage, but to me it seems they are still in vegetative stage. Is any one else following the Biobizz schedule?
Day 15 --> 19-11-2022 -->1.25L -->1.25 EC --> 5.8 PH. (Added bio bloom, Alg-a-mic, top max)
21-11-2022
N oticing light green spots on lower leaves. stopped feeding nutrients and will only use RO water with calmag at a PH of 6.3 for the rest of the week. Hopefully she comes through. Might use nutrients at an EC of 500 starting next week and not use nutrients every day.
23-11-2022
Raised the distance of the led to 16in. I think my light was a bit to close.
Over the week I've started to notice that the tips of the leafs are getting yellowish now compared to last weeks light green spots. My runoff EC is about 0.200 less than my intake. my run off PH is also a bit high at 7.5ph and my intake PH is around 6.2. I will try this week to lower the PH and feed it 5.5-6 maybe that will do something to help here.
I also thought maybe a flush of just ph controlled water would help. Will see. Any ones input is welcome. :) The ladies are definitely growing. They are about 14-15 cm now. The one which appeared smaller last week over passed the other.
Will keep posted.
01/12/2022 - flushed the ladies with 2L of water each at a PH of 5.5. The run off is still high (PH7.5) not sure how to lower it. It just doesn't want too.
01/12/2022 - I can see discoloration just on the left one, the right is not as affected i think.
02/12/2022 - found the problem, my PH meter needed to calibrated. It was not showing the right PH.
The ladies are recovering slowly from the ph problem from last week. They are still growing and soon will be flowering.
Im still using RO Water with nutrients. I feed them still 1L every day. They are starting to smell.
I can see they are still growing, and I think the flowering stage has started now. I will start using Bio Bloom and over time lower the amount of Bio Grow. Also I will add Top Max to the mix slowly. The problems I had with the Ph meter definitely affected the growth. I also cut 2 fan leaves which dried off from one of the ladies.
16-12-2022 - they pretty much recovered and are growing and getting more smelly every day. I usually water them in the morning and i was thinking it might be a good idea to water them a second time before i go to sleep. the one on the left i think is asking for some more water. I will do 0.5L.
They starting to smell pretty good and getting powdery. I can see they are still growing a bit.
Left side plant is still growing about 2cm a day and the other one is forming the buds and getting very powdery and smelly.
The taller one on the left, im still feeding it a bit of Bio-grow since I see it is still growing. The smaller one, I eliminated Bio-grow completely.
Also the taller one I feed it another 0.5L before I go to sleep, since Ive noticed the taller one becomes droopy after a full day of light.
22-12-2022 - did some defoliation to the plant on the left, since it was very bushy and covering the bottom flowers.
22-12-2022 - dropped the Bio-Grow from the feed. There is a tiny amount of Nitrogen in the Bio-Gloom to cover the need if the plants need it.
22-12-2022 EC is now 0.900 and PH 6.0 - 6.2
So I'm up to week 8 now and they aren't yet done. The left one is still growing and flowering and the one on the right is a bit older i think. The pistils started to turn a bit brown, maybe 2% of the plant. Over the past 2 weeks ive been doing some defoliation to expose the main buds. Ive also cut down some flowers from the button since light was not penetrating. I got a bit of downward clawing on the right plant. Not sure if it is the fan, or something else. Will keep an eye on it.
To be honest I'm trying to figure when i should start flushing them. I bought a USB microscope to check the trichomes.
They smell so good. The Left one is still growing a bit and flowering a lot. the right one hasn't grown in the last 1 week, but the colas are getting fatty and smelly. Im starting to see the pistils getting brownish. Both plants I see they are def not ready yet, the strain should be harvested in week 8-9. Maybe because Ive had some issues in the veg state, it might have slowed down. This would be a good question for all of you reading. This is also the first week I notice that the run off for the plant on the left is finally about 20-30% of what I feed it. Till now I would get close to the same amount of feed. The plant on the right those still has a huge run off, im starting to think the root is not as developed and maybe that is why it's so small. I take these a lessons for now and will perfect my technique in my next attempt, I have def learned a lot from this round.
they are very sticky smelly and all that good stuff. I did a bit more trimming of the fan leafs so all the flowers that are growing can get maxim light coverage. I also used the microscope a bit and i noticed that the tricomes are mostly transparent. The smell is just amazing, very lemony i would say. I would say this is the last week of feeding before doing some flushing. Will have to see if i can flush 1 or two weeks.
09-01-2023 - I fed PH corrected RO water without nutrients.
It a great smoke very smooth. You can still do shit while smoking, so you are not stuck looking at the fridge for half hour. The taste is very lemonie and fruity.
