Transplanted to 20 Ltr Fabric Pot. Soil Mix: Biobizz Lite, All Mix + Black Magic with Bat Guano and MYCOS.
Watered in with lite nute solution of Root Juice, Superthrive, Silicone Max, Maxicrop.
Incorporated Co2 Bag.
24/8 Temperature levels have dropped after the hot summer period. Tent is 22C Day / 18C Night. Lights out folia spray of PM Evo to help her with the transplant shock. Gave her a full water in, no nutes, there is plenty in the substrate to keep her going. Will let her grow another set of nodes then she will be topped.
27/8 Topped her at the 4th node and took away some of the fan leaves to give more light.
2ltr feed with RJ/SM/ST to alleviate stress of topping and defoliation. Watering every 3 days.
28/7 LST'd. With the small grow space i'm forced to keep her height down, Hopefully will see an even canopy.
Recovered from the topping and defoliation well. Responding to bondage well. Began Biobizz nute feed at half strength. Just letting her do her thing and flower when she is ready.
Switched the LED to 'Flower' mode following 5 weeks of just 'Veg' light, she is showing signs of coming into flower now. She is short but bushy even after some defoliation. Looks like she has a few good bud sites developing. Bit of white tip on the edge of the leaves has appeared, not too concerned yet, will monitor and try and figure out what the problem could be...Possibly slight sign of 'nute burn' or N toxicity but i have been feeding her lite, i'm assuming the substrate is pos still 'Hot', rich with guano and mycorrhizal fungi.
Took a cutting to clone from the Auto OG Kush earlier when i topped her just to see what she would produce. She rooted well and has filled the 1ltr pot. As expected going into flower the same time as the OG Auto mother.

Getting a little tight for space, the tobacco and kush has filled the grow space to capacity. The clone i took from the kush has taken well, will be interesting to see what she produces.
Bushy little mama. Removed the tobacco plants as they were taking over the tent. She is on her lonesome now so she can make full use of the space available. Looking like she needs some defoliation pretty soon.
3/10 Gave her a radical defoliation. Took away about 85% of all the larger fan leaves and some lower canopy growth. I want all the plants energy to go into flowering and developing large kolas.
Don't expect the auto clone to get much bigger, so won't be potting up, but she may produce a decent kola.
Some nice red and pink hues appearing around the buds and the smell is really lovely, not overpowering but it is a pleasure to stick your nose in the tent and just inhale the aromas.
Getting close to harvest time (10-11wks), will be cutting back on the nutes and begin flush feeding and watching the trichomes closely for any changes, they still look clear. Expecting her to start autumning off anytime soon.
18/10 Gave her a water feed 1.5 ltrs with molasses diluted ec 60ppm 6.8 pH
Flushing her all week with water and molasses as she comes to the end of her cycle. Trichs are getting milky, waiting to see some amber trichomes appear then i'll harvest.
25/10 Not feeding her any nutes just water and molasses and she is starting to autumn off but i'm trying to get more size out of her buds so i'm extending the growth period to 12wks then see if she is ready for harvest, still no amber trichs.
27/10 gave her a full 20min flush in the bath.
A pleasure to grow this ancient medicine, she responded well, not too tall after topping, OG Kush is a night time smoke and seems good for pain, stress and relaxation. I harvested the defoliated leaves and kept them in the freezer for nutritional ganja leaf smoothies, which i'm liking more and aim to increase the amount i'm incorporating into my daily diet. Overall... smells strong, pungent and fruity, heavy stone, a good chilled smoke.
Let her dry out for a week and then weighed her in. Nice sized soft resiny dank smelly stinky crumbly buds, lots of trichs that i waited an extra couple of weeks just to get cloudy, got the odd amber trich but mainly cloudy after 12 weeks.
After drying and toking some pre harvest the final net weight harvest was approx 108g dry. Now in jars curing.000
Normally i would say be kind dont take to much leaves, because she gives all the energy to make new leaves and not for flowers........but........in that case i only say defoilate slow
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes, the leaves are really preventing light from entering the canopy on this particular strain, i'm pretty sure i will get a better yield if i cut back on the mass of leaves now.
its a resiliant strain.... you treat her like a photoperiod, topping defoilating mainlining etc.
really want to see how she responds it in the Harvest....I cant see that she is angry or harmed she looks very nice
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes she took a lot of harsh treatment early on, going against all the rules i even got a clone from her to go into flower, she is responding well, so far so good)
Good work on the defoliation. I'm growing a seedstockers OG Kush, my first auto. Curious you said you topped at 4th node but it looks like only two pairs of branches so I guess you must have removed the first two node? Can you clarify. Also it seems that of the two sets, one set has grown out all the other branches on its own!
@MicrowGrow420, OK thanks. Bushy! Tell me about it. That was good to see how your technique worked out. I think I'm taking about 4 days longer than yours so far so it will be very interesting to see how it turns out. Although I'd be happy with 3 oz at this point. Lucky this strain takes so long to flower.
@Freddd, Hi Freddd, sorry for the late reply didn't see your comment till now. Yes i did remove the first two nodes, it is a unconventional mainline with 4 main branches, i made ten good cola sites rather than the 8 with a mainline. OG Kush tends to get very bushy so it is a good one to defoliate and put in the freezer so the leaves can be used later in smoothies etc. A nice strain and a good grow.
@CRiSPrGrow, tx bro 🙏 i've chopped all the nugs off to dry and toke but the main colas are still there, been waiting for some amber thrichs but I need to harvest soon as weed is running short 😉
