It’s been a rough start for this girl. She grew taller than she could handle and I discovered her laying down yesterday. I was going to put her down, but I decided to do a little treatment today with a makeshift splint.
This was my planned “spare” seed in case germination wasn’t 100%. Since all three germinated, I’ve decided to keep her around as a mother plant for my next grow. I haven’t cloned or kept a mother before. I have a small veg tent I could use for one mother plant. Excited to see her live another day.
ACI T22 Light was at 18 inches and 40% intensity until Tuesday. Increased to 50% intensity. Recommended intensity by manufacturer is 30% for seedlings and 70% for veg…..I’m working my way up to 70%.
On Thursday, I removed the bottom 2 branches as the start of plant training. (Quadlining)
I transplanted the last day of last week from solo cups to one gallon containers. I’m not sure what soil I’m using as it was left over mix. It’s a mix of Ocean Forest and Happy Frog and perlite….not enough perlite either.
Misting with a combination of RO Water, CalMag and Maxicrop Seaweed Extract. I plan to introduce a microbial element with EM-1 being used after tomorrow. That will be a new product for me, but I’ve read great reviews.
As of Wednesday, I’m planning to top this plant after she grows two more nodes. I will top above the 4th node, and remove the bottom two nodes.

On Saturday, I added EM-1 soil conditioner to the foliar feed and drench. It’s beneficial bacteria for the soil. Also applied one gallon of nutrient water to 5 gallon containers of soil in preparation for transplant. Their new soil is relatively dry, so I like to pre-moisten it before transplanting.
@@T_Dub, Nice.
Yeah, I got a buddy who refuses to flush, the only crops he has had fail was when he did. He ended up getting bud rot on the flushed crop. Has not flushed since, he never had another problem with bud rot, and the difference in quality was not a lot after curing.
@gREEn7o0, thanks! I don’t flush…..I’m one of those people who don’t think there’s any benefit to flushing. I do give them a good long dry and cure though.
@@@T_Dub, I use dry nutrients so I wouldn't go with smaller pots but with liquid nutrients you can get away with the smaller ones you just have to water more often.
As for scrog I've never done it because of my back problems it's to hard for me to get under the net. I do most of my autos the same, I top above the 5th node (set of branches) and push n pull the remaining branches to keep them from under the ones above them. If that makes sense.
I think you can do 2 or 3 in there because in my experience smaller pots make smaller plants, but they could get big without notice 😆
@Cyrusdavirus, thank you.
She’s coming along beautifully.
May I pick your brain Cyrus?? What do you think of growing two autos in a 2x2x4 tent in 2 gallon pots.
Is that a reasonable expectation, or do I need larger pots and fewer plants?
I’m looking at the Gorilla Cookies auto that you recently grew. I could scrog them if that’s an acceptable training technique with autos. (I’m still researching autos, but SCROG seems OK.) Thanks in advance for your help.
@Cyrusdavirus, she’s taken on the shape of an attractive shrubbery. 😝. But she is a beautiful strain….I enjoyed growing her. Looking forward to smoking her next to the Godfather OG and Purple Ghost Candy to see which ones I like best. Hope you are doing well Cyrus.
@Seedsman,
Thank you. Your LA Peyote Kush and Purple Ghost Candy are both a pleasure to grow. They really accepted the quadline training and LST quite well. 🙏
