The Alpha

Alright everybody, I’d first like to appreciate everyone who’s been giving nothing but positive vibes and encouragement along this journey. We don’t update as often as we’d like to, but we make sure not forget either. So here we are at week 14 in our grow (5 weeks into flower) and let me tell you, it’s been a journey for us as first time growers. I don’t list the amounts that we give our plants of the nutrients because we tend to tinker with the numbers a bit to see how they react after that watering. We ensure that our pH is 6.5, as far as the nutrients we typically follow the basic guidelines listed on the back of our grows but with a little adjustments of our own. Due to our tent being 5 ft tall, we’ve noticed that our light can not be raised any higher than what it is already. We began using twine to tie down certain branches that were touching the light after some of our leaves began getting burnt from touching the light. But for the most part we are focusing on removing any branches who have no buds showing from the lower part of the plants as of week 5. Currently most of the plants are going to grow beyond the light which we are proud of as first time growers, but we want to ensure that every part of our plants receive the amount of light required to ensure a proper grow as well as a decent yield since we are coming towards our last few weeks before harvest.
