Plants are about a week old. White widow is an Ol school strain that I’ve always been intrigued with. I’m really looking forward to this strain out!! Thanks ILGM for the awesome seeds!! Happy growing folks!!
We’re on week two here. I’ve added a Durban Poison photoperiod in the room hoping she will be a nice addition. It’s a week ahead if not a lil more than the White Widows. Looking forward to seeing them grow!!! Happy Growing peeps!!!
Well it’s week three!!! Lol My 3 White widows are each growing different. Not a huge difference but a difference all the same. One has stayed very short 🤷♂️🏻 The Durban Poison is responding well to LST and a lil defoliation. I topped all 4 plants also.
These gals are moving along. Not really sure if I like the Happy Frog soil this run yet. It might just be me but I feel my previous couple grows were further along in size by this stage of plant growth in the Promix BX. I’ve only added a 1/3 nutrient dose of the FF trio and I made the tips of one of my plant’s leaves curl under but it straightened out. I also think they are REALLY dark green. This my fourth grow so I’m no master at all but I just know it looks different. Huge fan leaves on my white widows so I’m not sure if it’s strain related or genetics 🤷♂️🏻 I had to adjust my PPFD and that seemed to help. Any comments or criticism is welcomed. Peace ☮️
My fan leaves got big real fast on the white widows. I was really hoping they would have been a lil fuller. But overall I’m happy. The Durban Poison in the bottom left is looking awesome. The canopy is forming nicely, better than the other three. But it’s early yet lol!!
Starting week 6 , second from flower. Done a lil LST on the Durban Poison. The White Widow’s are clearly beefier plants. They are finicky towards nitrogen though. The Happy Frog was hot soil . I’ve only put nutes on 2 times since the start and they acted funny even then. Ready to get the stretch over with so I can do some defoliation. So far just ph water and let um grow!! Lol 😂
Update: I defoliated the bottom 1/3 of the plants. Also done some LST on a couple of the gals.
Defoliated the bottom 1/3 or better of the plants. They are looking good. The Happy Frog soil or the combo with Strawberry Fields has remained pretty spot on. Not having to add nutrients at all. The Durban Poison in the back left looks as if she might need a lil nutrients on the next feed but other than that they growing pretty damn good.
Just letting um do their thing this week. Getting ready for another round of defoliation at weeks end. Happy growing peeps💯👊🏻 Trichome production is coming on quite nicely 🤩
Had to add some nutes this week finally but only the back right White widow. She’s starting to fade so I gave her a 1/3 of the regular dose and will go from there. All of the plants have burnt tips on the leaves but other than that they are rockin on. 💯👊🏻
Got yellowing going on during week 6 of flower. Temps/ humidity are good. FFHF/Strawberry Fields combo was going great til now. Nitrogen deprived?? Cal-mag? Help please!!! 🤦♂️🏻🤷♂️🏻😂
You need to feed beyond the base soil, that only lasts you approximately a month give or take in my experience.
You can go liquid nutes or top dress/amend but I’d recommend liquid nutes this late in flower..
It’s like having a good breakfast but asking why your stomach is gurgling around dinner time.
You’ve set up a good foundation for the day but you need to supplement before harvest
Plants are looking kinda sad at the moment. I think my Base soil has finally ran it’s course. My fan leaves are starting to yellow. I’m gonna feed some bottle nutes and try to get um through the next couple weeks. Buds are lookin nice and frosty 💯👊🏻
The plants have definitely suffered from what a think is lack of potassium in my soil. The Happy Frog/ Strawberry Fields combo started off hot an ran outta gas around 5 1/2 weeks of flower. I added bottle nutes but I believe the latter of the soils must have been kinda high in phosphorus but not PK. I chose to just water with PHd water and see what happens. The plants are LOADED with trichomes!!! Short of the plants looking puny the buds look AWESOME!!
Man this strain is AMAZING 🤩 Nice energy with a buzz smooth as silk!! Great for all day relief. My plants grew wonderfully up until week 6. My inexperience with Happy Frog / Strawberry Fields caused me some issues. But in my defense I tried to add nutes earlier on but the soil was just too hot. This grow was mostly just PH’d water 💦 and let um grow!!
Smoke Report: This White Widow is FREAKIN AMAZING 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I don’t say this a lot but I could literally smoke this everyday!! I grew 3 plants and one was definitely more Indica leaning cause it locks me down lol And one pheno was on the opposite side of that coin with it being more energetic 🔥💯👊🏻✅😎
Loving the smell of the White Widow!!! Managed to yield 12 oz of bud that tastes like fruity pebbles on the exhale 🤑 Awesome strain ILGM!!! Thanks again!! And nothing but love for the Grow Diaries community💯
Man this Durban was a beautiful plant. Purple hues ran all through the buds. BUT….. it hermied on me somehow and I don’t know when. It also somehow luckily didn’t pollinate my White Widows that were in with it.
Update: Yes this Durban did pollinate my widows 😵💫 however they weren’t just full of seeds only a couple here and there. I’m hoping the seeds will be some awesome smoke that hopefully I document on here. This Durban is really heady😎 but has a come down that I sleep nicely from. I’d say all in all for me it’s the White Widow that takes this round but I’d love to grow the DP again from ILGM and see the difference 💯👊🏻
@Mule420, I can say that I’ve been using biobizz light mix for the past year and that’s definitely much hotter than they advertise. The pH is not buffered and tends to be far too acidic for healthy growth. I find myself constantly upping pH to balance the soil out. I don’t use anywhere near what biobizz recommends either but still get decent growth so not complaining!
@DrJones, Idk if you have experience with this soil I’m using but it threw me for a loop with how hot it is. I’m literally top dressing with the Strawberry Fields. I’m not complaining but Fox Farm said pick up with the trio on week 2 of veg as labeled and damn glad I didn’t 🤷♂️🏻lol
