I started GSC1 on 11/22 in water with a splash of hydrogen peroxide. Put in soil 11/24 and misted. seed popped the soil 11/27. I decided to start a 2nd seed due to the first grow I tried the seed never germinated. GSC2 -same procedure as GSC1 but soaked seeds 11/27 put in soil 11/29. I added a heat mat on 11/28. GSC2 popped 12/2. I misted the seeds daily. Today 12/3/22 I started big bloom nutrient to the bottom of the seed tray reservoir.

I have 2 1000w full spectrum lights. Each light has 2 switches-a veg button and a bloom button. This gives 3 settings for the lights-veg only, bloom only and both lights on at the same time. What settings should I use during Veg and during flower and how close should I hang them?

there are differenecs, but it's always relative to genetics.. there's no spectrum you can give a naturally lanky difficult to branch out plant into a small bush... in fact it'll still be a lanky sativa-like structure even if you give the "best" light for increased axillary growth. So, worry less about that and more about DLI. you want to be giving upwards of 40DLI to your plants - wither 12 hours or 18 hours - or - over 1m^2 or 3m^2. The amount of umol/s of light you provide is far greater concern than your spectrum at this point, especially given most grow lights fall in a small CCT range and similar SFDs. the amount you give per day is proportional to hours of use. Since you have an autoflower you don't have to worry about that. Also, since you don't have to drop to 12/12 light cycle, you don't need to find 50% more light than what you were able to give before (assumes same area of coverage), which means you can cover 50% more area with your light over 18hours vs 12, but you also run it 50% longer. it doesn't save watts.. just can provide a bit less per hour over the course of a day.

END OF DIARY First, thank you to everyone responding to my questions. Used the wrong medium (moss) to wet, to acidic. From the pic taken and posted yesterday, the leaves are all curled up today. I moved to soil but there are no roots. I'll watch for a week for any signs of life. 12/8- the seedling on left probably won't make it. Holding hope for one on right. Start addition GSC seed 12/7 Germinate in water ✅️ Plant in soil 12 /10 ✅️

12/7 my 2 plants .25 inches tall. Still in seed start moss. It seems to hold lots of water. Is it too wet for root and vertical growth? Wondering if I should move to soil now?

They do look to wet/overwatered If you want to grow in peat it needs to be mixed with 30% perlite to allow for proper aeration and drainage. With out it its to dam wet and roots can rot easily. plus peat is more acidic long term so keep an eye on PH levels and make notes on how to adjust your PH going into the medium. You could transplant into soil or into peat and perlite and be fine. I would also look into feeding it a veg formula vs a bloom formula. Autos don't like feeding strength to be to strong so its best to monitor the EC and PH of the solution. keeping the suggested feeding ratios if its a multi part feed like grow bloom micro but altering the concentrations so its lesser than, just add water till you hit your desired levels. Good Luck!

The seeds did not grow. I used all of my seeds so I will not be able to comment on growth conditions, flavor or effects. Perhaps another time.
