Started with K.I.S. Organics water only soil, added 10 percent Biochar that I already precharged with F.A.A. (Fish Amino Acid, fermented local fish for over a year), Fermented Seaweed extract (locally harvested on the beach ⛱️) and Fermented Aloe extract. Also mixed in sprouted barley seed (added fulvic & humic acids and fermented Seaweed) as well as organic frass. Cooked for 25 days, Temps were cool and can see fungi growth.

Lights are on full 200watts, full spectrum, I prefer a balanced light spectrum throughout the grow, and will add more wattage in flower. Soil is fully cooked, adding a little more premixed super soil to the fabric pot, you can see it is a little low. Can't wait to see how each will perform in the 10 gallon Air Pot VS. The 10 Gallon Fabric Pot. Right now I can already see the first seed is stronger, so I think the comparison would be best if I took clones of the stronger plant. But because in my state I can only grow 2 plants while keeping it legal, so I will be a good boy, for now ;) Took a picture of my Aloe plant that I use to make Aloe FPJ, I take one large Aloe filet and add equal weight jaggery sugar (organic cane sugar is fine) and add one teaspoon L.A.B. (lactobacillus- locally cultured), then strain the liquid after 5 to 7 days, store in Fridge. The remaining solids and sugar can be used to make Aloe vinegar by adding water and covering with a paper towel in a glass jar, a S.C.O.B.Y. will form at the top eventually and can help to increase time by adding a tablespoon of previously made raw vinegar. This vinegar is used in KNF inputs like Maintenance Solution, Seed Soak Solution and to extract calcium from egg shells. I can go over making your own L.A.B. real quick: Take a handful of organic rice, wash with 4 to 8 ounces of R.O. water (no chlorine or chloramine) then add the rice wash to a small glass jar and cover with paper towel and rubber band. Two to three days later add 1 to 4 ounces of the rice wash to 8 ounces of fresh whole milk that is NOT Ultra-Pasteurized (so the rice was has now collected all kinds of bacteria that thrive in your specific local conditions- some good some not so good, but we drown all of them in whole milk!) So the only bacteria that survive are able to use lactose as their food, hence LACTObacillus. And there are so many strains of lactobacillus, but you have ones that thrive in your set up. The rice wash and milk is covered with a paper towel and sat in a dark area near your grow room and a separation occurs where a clear lactobacillus serum is on the bottom and a semi solid cheese forms at the top, this starts loosely and firms up as the lactobacillus serum is almost done, which depending on temperature can take up to a week, maybe less for warm locations so keep an eye on it daily. Strain cheese and add equal parts jaggery sugar. Store in the fridge. Hey yall! Another week down. A lot has happened. To start, we up-potted from the red solos into my living soil blend that I have been working on for almost a year. It's so full on living creatures and beneficials. I used to have fungus gnats a lot when working with living soil, it's almost impossible to avoid. .. Then enters beneficials; we have black soldier Flys, persimillis predatory mites, definitely earth worms, most likely a mix of night crawlers. No more fungus gnats, I highly recommend using beneficial nematodes, cucumeris and persimillis predatory mites are excellent (swirski predatory mites are expensive). Just look at the Soil Food Web and identify what pest you have, then purchase their predators from a trusted insectary. Anyways I added another 200watt LED and spread out the plants in a 2' X 4' tent. It's extremely dry in my location and having the heat on makes the air even drier. So getting my VPD stable has been an immense challenge. Right now Also we need to be able to add VPD or at least GD needs a built in calculator to help folks with VPD, Vapor Pressure Deficite. As of right now I am sitting at 0.85 VPD, so pretty good for today. I have 4 humidifiers and have had to hang moistened towels on the doors of the room I am growing in. It literally has been a huge challenge to keep the humidity high enough for my VPD to be in range for the young plants I have now. Good thing is my current humidity without running any humidifiers is perfect for the flowering stage, so I can't wait to move this along. As for topping and training; like I said I really want to move these ladies into flowering sooner than later. I have several reasons to do limited training so I can limit my veg time, also getting this crop done as fast as possible is best for my set up. Until I can get a larger house 🏠 😩 because we got a baby on the way 👶 so need to make space. I have made compost tea twice this past week, wetting the soil and also spraying the leaves. My sprayer broke so I ended up pouring the tea on the plants gently, I got worm castings on the leaves lol. Gently rubbing that off once they dried. Also I applied the tea at night. My tea recipe: Reverse Osmosis water, 2 to 4 gallons I bubble that with added minerals for a day Add 2-3 cups of Activated worm castings (To activate the castings I added about 3 gallons of high quality castings with what I consider to be nutrient amendments, SO I add = kelp meal, neem cake, organic coconut flour, organic corn meal, organic wheat flour, and organic cold milled flax seeds and let that sit for a week then add about 2 to 3 cups of that mix to the tea) I also add biology from about a cup of 2 different soil mixes I have around my compost bin, just trying to get a more diverse biology by adding those two different soil sources. And mind you the grow beds I took the soil from has been organic for many years and has a large amount of beneficials and tons of excellent biology. Other than that I bubble that for 12 to 24 hours, with as much air as I can get. I use air stones but you really need to clean them off once you are done brewing. I also have an Air Lift with a large air pump that really works great, K.I.S. Organics sells one that works great or you can build one easily with with PVC pipe and a few adapters from any Home Depot or Lowes. Also I do add DynoMyco to my roots when up-potting. They are an amazing brand that has backed up research, I think they have more propagules per gram of two strains they identified to work great with cannabis. Now having said that, each individual phenotype out of each individual and specific strain/cultivar is going to have different bacteria/fungal strains that it prefers and by growing the same strain, hopefully the same exact cut, and grow 3 to 4 cycles before you truly have the mycelium networks built and fully functional. What I am saying is stop throwing out "used" soil and go over 7 gallons, bigger the better for biodiversity. Stop buying "new" soil, amend your previous beds and pots. You will see a huge difference. Hopefully I can show you all of this with my Grow. Anyways please feel free to ask away any questions! This grow is about saving money 💰 🤑 and growing the best clean medicine as possible.

Merry Christmas Yall! 🎅 🎄 ❤️ Just wanted to update, the girls have been growing quite a bit. Topped them last week and shown to be recovered. Been folair feeding them about every other night when the lights go off, using mostly diluted compost tea, see my previous posts for a recipe I use. I mix it up too and added more SST- Seed Soak Tea, using organic Alfalfa and corn for a ton of great enzymes and growth hormones, all natural Baby! And super cost effective! Despite these girls being feminized I wouldn't assume such differences in the two seeds, one is definitely taller and popped about a day before the other, the shorter phenotype has shown to be strong, short and bushy! I topped the tall girl again today, doing what I call Very Low Stress Training by tucking certain leaves so the smaller nodes can get light. Either way I am going to do more training, just keeping it light as I really want to flip these girls into flowering ASAP, so I don't want a ton of recovery time by increasing their training, even though I know I can get more yield. I am under a time crunch for now, so let's go!!!! Come check out these photos! Send me some Love ❤️ 😍 Ask questions please! Any question is a good one. Peace and Love, The Fatty McCoy Wishing your family a warm and special Christmas, Holiday Season and just love all around ❤️ Be safe out there ✌️ ☮️ 🕊️

Hey yall! Happy New Year!!! 😊 🎆 🎇 🌟 🤩 Hope yall are having a great Holiday season. In an attempt to finish this harvest early, as stated previously, I am switching to 12/12 lighting for the flowering period this week! Super stoked as the girls are looking good and have a canopy that is mildly acceptable to me, if I had more time and a larger tent, and not a baby on the way I would veg more. But it's all good, because I wasn't the most confident in Beaver Seeds, although their genetics looks good, there are so soooo many great breeders out there. Anyways I topped the shorter girl early this week and topped the taller girl just about 3 days ago, she has recovered enough for me to feel comfortable to switch to flowering. Also the leaves on my tall girl's right side was getting burnt from my humidifier being too close and the moisture droplets started to fry under the bright LEDs. Temperatures are almost always fluctuating, that and trying to maintain an ideal VPD has been most struggling. Although I haven't dialed in my grow area, and changed where I was growing twice. Get it dialed! Get it dialed! I did at Fermented Irish Sea Moss, I obviously did not collect this from the ocean since I am nowhere near Ireland. But I had it on hand and it was going to waste. Use what you have locally or what would go to waste. Also made some new Fermented Aloe, very easy and I highly recommend it! Also just ordered a C02 meter, adding some DIY C02 with yeast, water and baking soda. Will let yall know how effective it is and get back to you on recipe info. Please ask questions, always room for more conversation! Peace and Love, The Fatty McCoy

Hey yall, Temps were high, but under control now. My girls were droopy despite having moist soil. After a good compost tea they bounced right back. Pistol hairs are showing, haven't grown this specific cultivar before so the bud structure is a but different than others I am familiar with. Let's see what she does moving forward. I am not a super fan of these genetics. Already have new seeds I am ready to start once these ladies are done. Over all the Strawberry Diesel from Beaver Seeds is not a noob grow, you need to have your grow dialed in. And really be careful with PM. I am keeping humidity as low as I cam while still maintaining a decent VPD. Challenges with this strain definitely turns me off. Looking forward to a new cultivar, already have some genetics from Michigan, those cats are really something else, they are hellbent on being better than the West coast. And they are in my humble opinion 😌 ☺️ Pure Michigan looks good, also Honey Sticks Genetics out of Maine is killing it, their Bananaconda 4 tested over 40% total cannabinoids. They want like 3k per cut, so that won't be my next, but looking forward to new genetics nonetheless. Anyways made some new ferments, remember to use equal parts organic sugar, Jaggery is best, that is the closest form of sugar to the sugar cane plant. Cover with paper towel, 2 to 3 days later let gravity give you all that juice, don't squeeze it to get more. Keep that juice in the fridge, that is your food. Then add water to the solids and keep at room temperature for 3 months to make a vinegar. That is your cleanser. Ask questions please 🙏 Love to see others trying KNF, or simply put Natural Farming methods.

Hey yall! Thanks for tuning in this week. Had a great look under the microscope of my soil, I just ordered a camera for my scope so next week look forward to seeing and identifying some beneficial microbiology! Another round of compost tea, I added Kiwi 🥝 😋 Fermented Juice, to this round of tea. Also adding food for the bacteria (simple sugars) and for the fungi (complex carbs). I suggest using diverse food for increased biodiversity. The mycelium network is really established at this point. Which is why I highly recommend to keep reusing your soil, and the larger the pot size the better. I am in 10 gallons for now. Once I move into our house will be into living beds, 100 gallon + If you can't be in a bed, use 25 gallon. You will benefit in time. So at this point only using inputs I have made from organically grown plants, mostly grown in house. Anything else was wildcrafted, sustainably, so if I take something from nature I am replacing it with something else. Balance in all things. Added the fruit for pushing the flowers. Pistol hairs are growing. This strain is a sativa dominant, and thus my flowers are not as compact and "looser" than indica dominant strains I have always grown. Review on this sativa dominant cultivar is: harder to grow than most strains, longer flowering time is also a pain while increasing my costs with more days with the lights on. Getting COAs on the finished flowers and I will post on here, I am hoping for higher levels of THCv, let's get into the rare cannabinoids and higher terpenes!

Hey yall! Super stoked to show yall some beneficial nematodes in my soil. Lots of other beneficials in there, the nematodes are the most fun to me! Love to show yall what Korean Natural Farming and JADAM can do. This is all Natural, all organic, all homemade inputs. I just want to prove to you all, the entire community, and the entire cannabis industry that you don't need to drop money on your inputs. You can source everything yourself! Remember, Bottles are for Babies! 🍼 👶 You don't need to buy into anything, you don't need to invest in anything, but YOURSELF! You are the most valuable tool, you are the most dangerous thing on this Earth 🌎 I want to be a resource to everyone and anyone who is willing to be open minded and learn. It doesn't matter your background, where you live, what color you are, or what is in your past. Your future and the future of this Earth is in your (our) hands. Togetherness over oneness Anyways, weekly compost tea applications and quality compost gets you gold! Also hand crafted inputs with love makes a huge difference. Use what you have near you, if you are wildcrafting inputs, be sure to not take from nature without giving back. Recycle, use less chemicals, pour your extra compost tea in your community. We can stop this wild climate change, but we can seriously slow it down, almost completely if we all do our part. I hope these posts inspire you to go down that rabbit hole 🐇 🐰 and get your hands dirty. Use and reuse the same soil, use larger pots or go in a living bed if possible. Have fun and learn something each day, pass on love ❤️ 😍 learn from your mistakes, that is what makes us stronger. No matter the mistake in your garden, or in life, we can always learn something new about life and ourselves. You are not alone on this journey, I got your back, and I truly believe in you. Peace and blessings to all! ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗

Growing organically in living soil is the only way I grow. Props on your use of ferment teas. KNF and JADAM are great methods and should be checked out by a lot of other growers. The proof is in the pudding on that topic and there's a Lot of science based pudding on it out there and available. Keep it up!

Hey yall, It's been a minute, I have been super busy out of town again. All is good though, the flowers are fattening up. Still not a fan of Beaver Seeds. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BEAVER SEEDS, just to be clear. They don't respond, like super sativa club, lol. I email and contact their website, zero response. So pick a breeder you can trust and has open communication. Otherwise they are greedy and most likely have shitty genetics. I popped two feminized seeds, one was a runt from the start, she died when my Temps hit 90 Fahrenheit, which is absolutely 💯 bullshit. I use potassium silicate, frass, aloe and everything that should help with heat stress, so this one is on the breeder. Anyways, they hardly have many trichomes, despite my shit being dialed to the max, PPFD. VPD, water only soil with dry amendments and weekly compost tea applications. That always dumps trichomes for me. Genetics are 90 percent of the game, we can control up to 10 percent as the growers. Well you can see what I mean. Week 6 of flowering now, so yeah I missed a couple weeks, but you know how it is. Life is nuts and you have to work to pay those electric bills. I already popped new seeds from a much better breeder, I literally cannot wait to chop these girls to pieces, and making RSO out of the entire run, I ain't even smoking this shit. Lol. Sorry I didn't throw up any tutorials this week, but check previous weeks for detailed recipes. I did add fermented Banana peels, overly ripe ones to help push flowering maturity. Also added fermented kiwi, overly ripe again to push end of flowering. Also added Willow water, and a ton of fermented aloe and some frass I got from a buddy. Love yall! ❤️ hope you get better genetics than me. Oh and yes, if you get a chance, tell Beaver Seeds to F*** themselves lol, 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Peace out girl scouts, oh and yes, Berner did not make GSC, he stole the name and the first OG cut of Girl Scout Cookies was from San Francisco. So the real breeders don't make shit up, they work their strains and stress test their genes to ensure there is no bullshit, get in touch with your breeder. Check out 808 Genetics, I think that dude has it going on, he stress tests everything and has a great Twitch stream, Check him out! ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘

New camera, better pictures. Ready to chop this girl down, one of them died from heat. Again I say genetics is king to any grow method. I have better beans and cuts ready to go. Another 1 to 2 weeks on this strain, I definitely missed a few weeks and I am sorry for that yall. Buds are tightening, still adding weekly compost tea applications and as you see the KNF inputs. Lots of banana ferments going in, trying to get her to ripen up. Smell is like weak tropical fruits, it hardly smells unless you rub on the buds, which I don't recommend, let the plant finish you know. Anyways, enjoy so dope ass pics Peace and Love ❤️ 😍

Hey yall! New camera is paying off! Pictures made this plant look better lol. I swear it's the camera not the genetics!! Lmaoo Anyways I have been adding more fermented fruits that are overly ripened to trigger the maturity of the flowers, also to sweeten her up a bit. I mean really any sugars added are just feeding the microbes, but that is the name of the game! Feed the soil, allow the root exudates to feed the microbes and allow the plant and soil microbiology to do the work for you. Also compost tea! Add balance of simple carbs (blend of different organic sugars) and more complex carbs (blend of organic flours, kelp, fish and flax seed) to feed bacteria and fungi. Keep the soil Food Web alive and you will see the results. Overall I again, would never recommend Beaver Seeds, or this strain to anyone. She was highly sustepable to heat stress, also out of 5 seeds I saw so many variations (many different phenotypes) which is a huge RED FLAG= meaning that the breeder did not solidify the genetics and ensure that there was more consistency instead of just making seeds really quick and selling them. Don't trust breeders like this. Also if you email them, they should respond, sometimes it takes time to hear from them, although you should always hear back. In my case, Beaver Seeds ran and hide like a fuc*ing child... they are immature little kids and I would love to have a conversation with them. Mono a mono, man to man, grower to grower. Enough trashing shifty companies... back to reality and staying positive! Going to reuse this soil and already have better genetics popped and ready to go! Love yall and stay up! Hope this inspires yall to make your own inputs. Please check out my previous weeks as I posted many recipes and easy to do things at home to save money Also making KNF inputs takes a few minutes each week, don't be intimidated to start. Also stop paying for all these bottled nutrients, bottles are for babies 👶 🍼 ❤️ 💙 💜

I would have to go through more seeds to be more honest before leaving a negative review for Beaver Seeds.. but if you read through my entire journal you will know. I would really add more content here but I really think I said enough as is. I turned all of this harvest into RSO so and then encapsulated them for friends in need of quality organic medicine. Anyways, good times on here. I really see the benefit of having a grow diary on here, they allow you track a lot of great info. I have been able to come back to this grow several times already since harvest and each time I go back with a different perspective and learn something new! I hope yall learned something as well in this journal. Growing can by easy, with proper clones that have been searched through you can ensure you have fire to begin with. Popping seeds is super fun, clone cuts have their benefits. Either way you go, never overpay for seeds or cuts. Hype strains are that exactly, but I have cuts for a new grow I am starting which totally kick all the asses.. follow me on another journey on my next grow. Keeping organics, but going to hydroponics so it will be another time to learn and grow more! So much love to all those who followed! I hope more can continue to learn by going back through the weeks, each week had great challenges to overcome. The Fatty McCoy

Left all of this info in the thing right above this, lol. dont want to retype everything but harvest was low due to heat stress and a low overall heat tolerance of the strain. Not bad harvest but the nose really isnt any strawberry, not much fruit either. I think they needed to make an IBL out of this proper before slapping that much strawberry all over the place. Anyways, did a dry for 4.5 days until thickest stalk snapped, then into glass jars to be burped daily. Did this for 1 week with hygrometers in each jar. Also added a few 2-way humidity packs to the jars. cured over 2 months before I turned it all into RSO. will do a tutorial on RSO later, maybe on next journal. I hope this inspires yall to get quality genetics and vet your breeders.

12/17/2022 Edit: Watering Volume was at 250mL/day, was trying to achieve 70 to 80 percent of the soil's Field Capacity.. look up soil field capacity, good thing to know. I do like the Blumats but again saving money this run. Goals for next run to have the Blumats for the most accurate

@PapaNugs, Hey! Yes there is great info on how the Blumats can dial in your game, allowing for increased yields. It definitely is another tool for the tool box. On Amazon they sell the Blumat kit for 100 bucks and that works for up to 12 plants, which is way more than I need so I do think it is affordable. It gives us another quantity to analyze, I think if used properly and you do the legwork to max them out, if can pay off. Maybe save up for it and get a small system, try a side by side and see if they work with your unique environment.

Thanks for the update. Two questions. The first is about your nutrients. Do you mix up a load and use it over a few days or only mix what you need that day? Second is Oriental Herbal Nutrient related. I’ve made enough OHN for a few years worth but I’ve no idea about how useful it will be and how to use with cannabis. Any thoughts on that would be much appreciated.

@Indicate, Love that raw seaweed! Just bring a 5 gallon bucket with lid, might even help to have the sugar with you, and mix right on the beach, the sugar should help with the smell and start the fermentation process. Throw in a little LAB if you have some will help immense with the smell and speed up the process. I think Dr. Cho recommends to add a little LAB to FPJ or FFJ. Yes and vinegar is your friend too, you can replace the Brown Rice Vinegar with your vinegar. And save up egg shells, rinse and bake them at like 220 for a couple hours until they are slightly brown. Then add a little of the browned egg shells to a glass jar, add vinegar to 3/4 full, cover with paper towel and rubber band. Then sit back and watch the show! You will literally see the egg shells start to bubble as the calcium is extracted and made water soluble. It is really fun to watch, I bet the kiddos would appreciate the project too! Have a safe trip, hope you can find some fish for a batch of FAA 😉 that one takes about 6 months to a year to finish. Will upload a picture of my fish bucket

@TheFattyMcCoy, Thanks very much for the info. I didn’t realise y FFJ turns to vinegar if not in the fridge. The garage has been at fridge temperature for the last three months anyway so might be ok. Heading to the coast this week so will stack up on seawater and seaweed. Small car and 6 hour drive….family are going to love me. Have a good one and thanks again.

@Indicate, There are a few mixtures you can keep shelfstable like Maintenance Solution, which is Fermented Plant Juice, Brown Rice Vinegar and OHN. That is a good daily for the plant, great for soaking the seed for germination too. Any ferments I make I strain the juice, label with date and keep in the fridge. Any FPJs I make and keep at room temperature will turn to a nice Vinegar if not refrigerated, which is great for getting water soluble calcium from egg shells. Yes that OHN just gets stronger each year, it is the medicine for everything from plants to us, I take some if I ever feel sick. The OHN really suppresses the bad bacteria and potential pathogens and only the strong can survive OHN so the best fungal and bacterial strains will make it through. That really applies when making Fermented Sea Water, and compost tea to help kill the bad guys when we create these environments for microbes to thrive it is easy for a bad guy to dominate, the OHN helps prevent that mostly. I say go very low in dosing it to your plants, 0.5mL, maybe just like a few drops even to start diluted per gallon. I mix it in when I am making my compost tea so it makes it on the leaves and the soil at least twice a week for me. Just dilute dilute, it's very homeopathic so a little goes a long way. I like to use OHN with a food like FPJ or (FFJ in flowering) and also the brown rice Vinegar for balance. I also never would use an FPJ by itself. I try to use up everything after mixing and diluting with water, I have a lot of other house plants I will use the excess on. Thank you for asking ❤️

Wicked diary m8. You have inspired me to start doing my own fertiliser soon! Can I ask do you ever use neem and karanja oil for soil soaking to help rid gnats and other bad bugs? Or would that kill the mycelium?
