Installed a Secret Jarden 30watt fan in the ceiling blowing air down onto the lights and the warm air from the lights onto the trees. I've kept a 12" fan in the corner blowing air up and across through the trees. Got myself an 80watt heater to try and stabilise the temperature when lights go out, but temperature is still dropping considerably. Thinking about putting insulation plaster boards around tent to keep the heat in, and should be good for when the summer comes too.
My eat eaters seem to be doing well. I haven't seen any creepy crawlies about. Think I might repot them and put them in a trough. Would make handling them a lot easier.
Have been watering quite a bit, probably too much. I think my trees are suffering from nute burn and a lockout, so watered them nute free, but didn't wait until soil was completely dry. Think I may have waterlogged them. Anyways... My EC is usually between 1.9 and 2.1. Am wondering if it's too high, maybe I should dilute it a bit to around 1.5? Hmmm...
Need to stop being so enthusiastic watering my trees...
Big Yield is looking well and think it is the stinky one of the two.. I reckon it's a couple of weeks from harvest. I thought these Autoflowers were supposed to be 12 weeks? Not very punctual these trees. Have bought myself. a jewellers magnify thingy so hope to be able to identify the little mushrooms what me call-its.
Gorilla Cookies seems to be lacking compared to BY, not sure why? Maybe it's because Big Yield is supposed to be big??! Lol.
Have upgraded my ventilation to a 6" fan, which is sweet, quieter and sucks all the humidity out great :). and the heat :(. Have relocated the massive carbon filter to the bottom to try and draw out cold air rather than warm. With the new carbon filter am running out of space for trees. Going to make a stand and lie it horizontally... Not sure that will improve the situation thinking about it... Hmmm... Another issue I have created for myself with the 6" is that even on it's lowest setting it sucks all the humidity out of the tent, so next grow I'm going to have an issue with low humidity... Balls......
@tomatoGrower, they shouldn't be getting killed by the lights what are you using is it a led light and in the natural environment they live in warm boggy conditions they require to be moist at all times since the aquariums people use to grow them with t5 bulbs I would imagine it to be hotter than your grow room I would say if you water your cannabis plants say every other day you would probably have to water the carnivorous plants everyday the best way I find to do it is put trays with water underneath and they will take what they need oh and keep the fan on during the night unless it's your lights go off with it
@tomatoGrower, It will be fine they are naturally grown under a t5 the problem is they love to be fairly wet as usually they are boggy plants it will eventually start feeding it will produce a nice colour inside of the cup and pests are then intrigued it's hard to tell with that carnivorous plant as it is a closed cup plant best way to tell if it's feeding usually another will sprout once it has eaten so if you get new growth it's already feeding I have loads of varieties of them I love them very educational also usually give me a great amount of seeds each year.
@Ilovemyplants, cheers, wondered what they were called. Still waiting for them to start chomping on something....😳💤. Think my lights might be too overbearing for them 😟
Hey there growmie,
Thanks so much for sharing this diary with us! We hope that you had a good experience with growing our Gorilla Cookies Auto.
It was a joy to look through your photos, enjoy the harvest
