At day 88 from seed, 42 days since the switch to 12-12, most of the tops of her 8 main colas were already 15"-17" from the light. I have experienced foxtailing before from plants being too close to my light. I know people will suggest that I do anything buy cut the tops off my plant but it just wasn't worth it. The benefit of manifolding is that you end up with long colas. If a cola is only 16" instead of 20", who cares? So I'm not thrilled I needed to chop the tops to avoid foxtailing but chopping is preferred to airy buds that don't ripen properly. As part of topping a plant half way through flowering, I also defoliated again to have tops without too many fan leaves.
At day 91 from seed, 45 days since the switch to 12-12, she is looking good to me. I'm glad I cut her tops off even though I felt horrible doing it. She is now 18"-20" from the light which is better than before. It is also better for the fan height to keep air moving without it blowing too hard right on a cola. Nothing to do now but wait.
@GrowFanatic, Thanks for your comment and thanks for following! To grow any strain from seed is an investment. Based on awards given and comments I've heard on YouTube and other places, I think this strain is special. We'll see how the next 6 weeks or so go though. Hoping for the best. I'll definitely finish this grow and journal.
Hello bro ! Glad to see it's going quicker than expected , with your hydro system you win a week or 2 compared to a soil grow! Nice done ! I am also a smell fetishists 😂🤣 : so how does she smell ?
@@Greenjum, too bad about the hermies. 14-15 weeks is a long time for an auto! I've done a few auto but they are always supposed to take 8 weeks and end up taking 11 for me. So I just do normal photo period now. Good luck to you in the future!
Check out my 2nd grow, I'm using a bread tie that jams into the rockwool (not too deep so as not to cut any root) and forms a circle to help hold up the stem. It works really great, also keep rotating it to make it stronger.
