SETUP: -MIGRO 100 -Grow space 60X60X160 (Mammoth PRO 60). -Grow medium is Gold Label Special Mix Gold edition Premium, Airpot (10l). _____________________________ 3rd October - Day 41 BIG UPDATE - So sit down, have a cup of coffee or a smoke and enjoy the ride :) Today it's day 41 for the big girl (Final Pot). Day 43 for her little sister (Beer Cup) in the smaller pot. Beer Cup has always been one step ahead of Final Pot. You will see this on the pictures from today. Last week, I got a lot of feedback from other growers that I've probably overwatered them and especially Beer Cup cause she was turing more and more yellow. I stopped giving them water on September 25th and was told to wait 4-5 days until next time for water. On Sunday (September 30th) I checked again and the leaves were not hanging down. For me, that's a sign that they aren't in super need of water! I checked the weight on the pots and I thought they could manage a couple of more days until they got some water. Today I will give them water, finally, and it's been 7-8 days since last time. I just wanted to be sure they really dried up. Please let me know what you think after looking at the picture from today! Do they look thirsty or do they look sort of happy? The Beer Cup is still very yellow on almost all the leaves. Will this be the end for her even if she is producing a lot of trichomes already? We are in week 6 and many of the trichomes are already milky. Any feedback on this? For all of you that maybe just joined the diary, The smaller pot "Beer Cup" as I call her, already has been transplanted once so I won't do it again. I wasn't supposed to really do two plants this time, but she turned out so beautiful with there small structure and small "tree shape" so I couldn't get rid of here. I've been keeping the distance of 35-40cm from the lamp to the top of the girls. Humidity has been lowered from 60-50% during the last week. Temperature is mostly around 21-23 during day and a couple of degrees colder during night. Light schedule is 24h and they seem to like it. No taco leaves this time so I managed to get good balance and avoiding heat stress. Many growers have advised me to check the run-off after watering them. I don't have a control unit for that + it's very hard to find where I live. To order from Ebay or Amazon will take too long for me to get it. What I do have is a control unit so I can check the PH-Value in the soil and it's been around 7. I have one small grow ⛺️ and I've been thinking of how to make it as efficient as possible when it's time to harvest. The girls have a couple of days between them so they will be ready in different times. I hope Final Pot will be ready before Beer Cup has gotten too ripe. I need to wait for them both to be ready before harvest so I can hang them to dry in the same tent. Beer Cup's weight before getting water today was 483g - She got 400ml of pure water this time. No nutes for her today. It's funny when you give them water... they start to smell more almost directly. I would describe her amazing smell as the Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape Candy. Check out the picture of the candy I'm referring to here: http://www.blackcatimporters.com/image/cache/data/1398309689-400x400.jpg Final Pot's weight before getting water today was 2300g - She got 1L of water with nutes and her weight after was 3300g. Doesn't smell that much as Beer Cup but I can hint a small Hubba Bubba here as well :)

I have to choose one of the seedlings. Only room for one. Both planted same time. The one in final pot sprouted two days later than "Beer Cup". If I want to go with Beer Cup,then I need to transplant asap? Let me know which one you think looks πŸ’ͺ.Transplanting is of course a risk

I would always take the one in the final pot. You let here sprout there=? . well thats the right way. the other one in the beercup might not get to big. automatics most time stopp/ slow down growth when the roots hit the ground, and in worst case start flowering. the chance that she stays a dwarf is high. Buuuuuu t dont toss her away if you dont have space give her to a friend or anything else or do a littel bonsai experiment with her she is worth to live,,, greetings....(gibΒ΄ve her a nice small pot and make a automatic bonsai if you dont have the soace for 2 big pots

Hi! I have two plants in same tent. One will be done 5-6 days before the other one. Someone mentioned shoebox... what would you say is the best way to dry the first plant if it has to be inside the tent while other plant is finishing up? Humidity/Temp only possible in tent for me

lol not a shoebox man, you want something bigger, check out what I did I used a normal sized cardboard box, hopefully it fits in your set up ! mine had plenty of room, even on the tray it was set on... just kinda made a hole on the top (some folks put the hole on the side) then put a spare intake fan pointing out.... you want air circulation and you want you bud hanging, not laying on their side because they will get kinda mishappen : gravity is a hellova thing ! The box does help though - keeps it dark and well air circulated lol . dassit ! πŸš€

@Experimentgreen - These are auto flowers and I thought that they can have 24/7 light all the time without no problem? Thanks for feedback βœŒοΈπŸΌπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸ»

@MagnoliaFrost, hey there, yes autos can definitely handle more hours of light and even handle lights going out better without going hermaphrodite. Im sure some autos handle the 24 hrs better. I think some growers believe that all plants benefit from some dark periods...for like rest and relaxation. I also usually hear people mention putting their indoor plants into a dark period when they're about to harvest. But im sure all these various methods all depend on the grower and what they see or think works best. Its hard having just the one tent and the one special place you can do everything. Trying to grow, and harvest all in one spot must be challenging. ✌️

I say, "Transplant the seedling in the beer cup into its final container, and grow them both!" It's a shame to let a perfectly good cannabis seed go to waste.

Quexoscommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost, Check your distance from the lights. Your photos made it look like the plant in final pot was a lot farther away from the light. That caused it to stretch to reach the light. Position your lights so they are the proper distance, support the sprout's stem, then let her do her thing. Make sure your fan is only indirectly effecting the sprout. The main idea is to take your time and be consistent. The plant in the final pot looks like its starting its veg cycle. The stem looked pretty good and you were getting nice growth. She will be great I think.

MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, Hi buddy! I transplanted the beer cup maybe two days ago. But that one is falling over easy so I added support to it as you can see on the pictures. I wonder why the smaller one in the final pot sort of slowed down the growth a lot. Look at the picture from day 7 until today (day 9). I read somewhere that the growth can be very slow if you plant them in the final pot directly compared to smaller cups... why it should be like that I can't understand πŸ‘». The stem on the Final pot one is so thin and long. I've put up some support to it and also I have a small breeze to stress it a little so I would get stronger. But doesn't seam to do anything.
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost, They are both good choices. It's up to you. If you moved the plant in the air pot closer to the light, it would probably look more like the one in the beer cup.

@Quexos, you got it bro, if the hat fits ....
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, That sounds similar to my set up. I used a U-Haul wardrobe box . It opens halfway in the front and has a bar going across the top. I can hang my buds from the bar and access the drying stalks anytime I need to see anything. I cut holes in the bottom of the front, and put an exhaust fan in the back near the top. The fan pulls air from the bottom and right over the drying buds. The box is a little large, but it works great. I think I am going to use it for my dark period for this harvest because I have the same problem as Magnolia, one of my plants is ready for harvest, and the other has a few more weeks.

Both plants look very happy! The one in the smaller pot will need to be transplanted in a few weeks.
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, haha! Thanks for keeping my secret safe πŸ‘½ It's an auto in the smaller pot. What other growers told me is that you can grow a plant even if the pot is this small but of course it won't be that big. I don't want to risk transplant it a 2nd time.
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost, If the one in the smaller pot is not an auto, then you can transplant it into a larger pot in a week or two. If it's an auto, you have to make a choice: Transplant, or let her go in the smaller pot. There are risks associated with both choices. BTW we won't tell anyone you are growing an extra plant!😎
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, Yes I agree. The only problem is that I've already transplanted that one into this small pot. I wasn't supposed to grow two this time πŸ™ˆ
Quexos
Quexoscommentedweek 26 years ago
When you transplant to a larger pot, you can buy a moisture sensor that you put in the soil. It works fairly well. I also lift up my smart sacks. If they are really light its about time to water. Finally, stick your finger in the soil up to your first knuckle. If you feel moisture, you have another dayish. If not, its safe to water. Both seedlings look great! I grew an auto from RQS. I was really happy with the quality of the plant/smoke.
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, then I’m with you! But now the question is. Should I go with the one that’s already planted in the final pot even if it’s a couple of days slower. Or, transplant and risk to chock it and lose both πŸ™ˆ
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost, Usually you plant autos in their final pot, but photos you transplant. Some people transplant their photos several times. If you are seeing roots coming out of the drainage holes at the bottom of your beer cup, its time to transplant into its final/next pot. smart sack=canvas pot. Finally, the one that had the shell on it looks fine. It happens all the time.
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, Thanks buddy for taking time to help me out. I don't have to transplant, if I decide that the one that's already in the final pot works good enough. The only thing with that one was that it took two days longer I think for it to come up from the soil than the Beer Cup). I also had to help her get the shell of. Does this mean she is a weak one? What do you mean with "smart sacks"? The one in the Beer Cup has leaves hanging a lot. I can see the roots coming out of the bottom from the wholes I made. Can it be lack of air into the soil? Glad to hear that yours turned out to be good quality and smoke :) Thanks.

Quexoscommentedweek 86 years ago
Both plants look pretty good! Trichomes are looking clear-milky throughout. Beer Cup is looking pretty beat, but its towards the end and she is pulling nutes from the leaves. What is your estimate for harvest time? Did you figure out your drying room dilemma?
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost, Sorry, didn't mean to use unfamiliar slang. "Beat" in this case means she is finishing her life. Leaves are yellowing and curling, etc. Kinda like beat up. Towards the end, some of these strains look pretty bad. I saw the photos of your new box. That will work perfectly! Try to get a small, personal fan and put it on the opposite wall of your ventilation holes. Cut a hole, and secure it so the fan is blowing out. That will draw air from your ventilation holes, across your plants, and out via the fan. As long as your drying buds are mostly dark, you should be okay. I usually put my drying box in one of my kid's rooms. They are away at college, so they are dark and cool. Most importantly, no-one will bug them.
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, In what way you mean she looks "beat"? I guess she won't be much bigger. Last grow they were so much bigger at this stage but I think she looks and smell beautiful :) I'm posting now some pictures of my installation that I will use to dry the first batch. Goal is to have no light and air circulation. The humidity will be the same for both drying and the other plant which will finishing up before harvest. I think 50% in around 24 celsius is a pretty good aim. Atm I don't really have a good solution for how to get good ventilation in the box that I've built. If I would put some sort of fan on the side of the box, it will still leak in light inside which I'm trying to avoid. Any thoughts on this? Cheers βœŒοΈπŸΌπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸ»

You are overwatering and over nuting .
BigDaddyK
BigDaddyKcommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost,it’s fucked , I would start again , less is better than too much , in the early days it’s every 5-7 days , then at biggest 2-3 days , you need to water until it comes out the bottom ( runoff ) then LEAVE IT ALONE for 5 days or so , test runoff ph and EC
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@BigDaddyK, Thanks for the tips! I've been giving the big "final pot" around 1L (pot is around 10L) and the smaller one gets water every 1-2days and around. 300-400ml. I gave them water yesterday. How many days would you recommend to wait it out until giving them water again? How much has it been "hurt" from overwatering? Recovers quick? Thanks buddy
Quexos
Quexoscommentedweek 56 years ago
One of your plants is an auto so it should be flowering by now. I'm guessing your "beer cup" is the auto. She will need more frequent watering due to the smaller container. It doesn't hold as much moisture. I see a few of the lower leaves are turning yellow. Keep an eye on that. It could have several causes. I wouldn't start throwing nutes at her just yet. It might have something to do with the smaller pot, or watering schedule. The plant looks great other than those few leaves.

Quexoscommented6 years ago
@MagnoliaFrost, Yep, both look very nice. Great photos!
MagnoliaFrost
MagnoliaFrostcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, Both are autos! I'm going to take some new photos today. They have both started to flower. You are most definitely right about that something is up with the more yellow color on the "Beer Cup". I've watered with nutes on both for a while now and I don't see much of a note burn. Let me know what you think after I've uploaded the new photos. Cheers buddy :)
