These are some seeds I gathered over the years and kept in the freezer I have no idea of genetics. I have never grown them before so was eager to see what I’ve been holding onto. Any ideas on what genetics I may have my hands on would be much appreciated Australian grower - QLD -

Random seeds = no one will know jack shit The leaves may say one thing indca vs sativa but everything is so interbred now a days its high might be completely different. The leaves are showing some sings of pests, like Ezzjaybruh said THRIPS or maybe MITES hard to tell in the pics check under the leaves and on top for small bugs. really small! I'd also be concerned about hermi traits if you don't know where the seeds are from, could be some bag seed and that's always a gamble but sometimes pays off.. FYI: We will not be notified of any reply or tag [@] in the questions part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Good Luck!

After topping mid first week I started to train the leaders outward eventually it bushed out enough to tie to the edges of the fabric pots. Now I’m noticing bushy growth and getting slightly taller.

Added a tower fan end of week 4 And continued L.S.T. Starting to see what they’re going to do during flower and ‘finessing’ plants where possible to prepare for pre-flower stretch. Still looking healthy though noticing some signs of aphids or thrips the neighbours compost must have introduced some unwanted guests

Presuming I’m having nutrient deficiencies due to PH imbalance of new soil. Going to flush with water and check PH/adjust as needed

Have adjusted soil ph, two feeds 80ml/L Yates liquid Sulfur @ 1L/Plant Soil Ph reading 6.5 and slightly lowering still. Humidity and temperature are under control!! I spy the aircon unit 👀 although not as stealthy in real life as in the photo it does a fantastic job combating the heat beautiful growing conditions recommence !

Going to have to do some super cropping to get optimal results though I don’t want to go too crazy, the girls are growing well just need to defoliate soon. The air conditioning has lowered the temp and humidity to tolerable levels now I expect to see the plants bounce back !

Loving the amount of flower sites developing, a good defoliation has opened the canopy for a fuller light penetration and optimal breathability without removing too many solar panels. Noticing lots of healthy stigma developing and really placing faith in the TSW2000 and aptus plant tech range to get these girls across the line

Have added liquid Sulfur this week. Soil ph was sitting up around 7. Two treatments of Yates liquid Sulfur and although the bottle suggest it will take months for the Sulfur to react in the soil bringing the ph down I’ve noticed the ph drop in the soil to around 6.5 not sure why might be temporary but hoping to see a more generous uptake of nutrients in the next week :) cheering 📣

The Sativa in the back seems about a week behind in flower than the one in front. The one in front is bushier with more mature looking flower sites, also the plant in back has adopted a more light or lime green appearance this week not sure why. I adjusted the ph a fortnight ago and she bounced back and now again seems to be suffering. I inspected the soil and seems these 5Gal pots are nearly just roots now completely overgrown the pots wondering if that’s a contributer Can’t do much now just going to watch all the things; manage the ph, temp, humidity, light height, watch for over/under watering, over/under feeding etc I’m pegging at least another 4 weeks in flower taking these girls up to a 12/13 week flower period can’t wait to see the colas in a few weeks Thanks everyone for reading/watching along love the support feel free to say hello if you pop into the page let me know you were here with a like or comment thanks again StoneJackson

Changed up the screen in the tent this week required a full tent clean pulled all plants out rearranged them hung steel concrete mesh instead of flimsy net that gets pushed up as the plants grow. The mesh rather holds the plants in a ‘splayed’ out position making training a whole lot easier. It’s a long slow wait for the Sativa to bloom. The little indica in the front has been along side the entire time, a much smaller plant and nearly finished flowering. The Sativa needs another 4 weeks at least to catch up in bud development taking this flower time to around 12 weeks long. I’m starting to suspect stresses throughout the grow have added a toll and prolonged the process however i am still noticing gradual development so she hasn’t stopped doing her thing I think it’s a slow build to a voluptuous crescendo! Well that’s what I am hoping anyway :)

The last two weeks have been a battle with the sativas ! A little more he says, plants love nutrients he says, what harm could adding a regular dose of potash to my Aptus nutrients possibly do he says 🤦‍♂️🏽 leaf tips curled up like that’s it! I’m gonna curl up and die now haha poor girls I also simultaneously noticed a lime greening/yellowing of the leaves which could have been somewhat related but also unrelated. I’ve been flushing the soil with straight water which has been having a positive effect, I’m nearly convinced now that these plants are root bound they got so big so quick the root systems must encompass the entire 5gal pots. Being smaller root systems, large plants and insufficient soil:root ratio there isn’t enough potential for water retention, the plant is drawing what water it can while it can but not enough to supply the entire plant meaning I have to overwater to keep them hydrated then they quickly over correct with overwatered plant symptoms. The rest of this grow is going to be a struggle but I’m going the distance. What ever they need they’ll get until they cross the line, right now I’m continuing the flush as best I can without watering them too much I suspect things will correct and go well. I’m still a few weeks away with these two hoping that’s plenty of time for correction.

The increased watering schedule is working for now. The girls are returning to a normal colour. There’s less and less curled, burned leaf tips and flower maturation has recommenced at full steam. As long as I don’t run into root rot dramas from the increased water supply I should see these two across the line without further hiccups🤞🏽🤞🏽

The sativas have begun flowering again they had me worried for a minute the extra water seemed to help but also flushed my 5gal pots of extra needed nutrients resulting in not only a potassium, magnesium and calcium deficiency but also threw the soil PH out. I’ve tried my best to strip any dead and dying leaves away and noticed a healthier colour returning before I noticed more bud development! 🤩 to be honest after the last probably 5 weeks of stress I don’t have massive hopes for the end result but I’m still excitedly looking forward to it. The buds smell super piney and a little green mango scent in there too but strong strong aroma!! I added a couple of photos of my Cannabonsai too she’s starting to look pretty sexy in mid flower 👌🏽 if you can spy my pet, tent dwelling, apex predator, praying mantis hanging out on the Cannabonsai you were a gun at Where’s Wally as a kid (last photo)👌🏽💪🏽🤙🏽

@Cyrusdavirus, so different to the indica! I just pooled random seeds, sprouted as many as was sensible in my area ;) and wound up with a set of Indica and a set of Sativa. I gave so many away and still have 3 8ft tall outdoor sativa and one outdoor indica (diaries to come) a friend has a tent with 3 much bigger and more healthy versions of my “uncle Dave’s fig jam” which I may be able to post up once they’re ready exact same strain grown in coco coir blend with floramax nutrients, I made a super soil/living soil and supplement with Aptus plant tech nutrients so the contrast will show slightly. I had a plethora of issues including recurring thrips which show in the plant his are actually stunning 👌🏽

@Cyrusdavirus, thanks bro! I’m doing what I can for them, it’s all been a learning experiment that’s for sure! Can’t wait to try a tent of proper genetics with a lil more experience under the belt. Cheers for the support dude ✊🏽
