Gorilla Glue #4
Mars Hydro TSW2000 310watt LED
MarsHydro 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0m Tent
Aptus Plant Tech Nutrients
Planted in Moistened bonsai mix soil from Bunnings (it’s what I had lying around) and saturated with Aptus plant tech StartBoost @ 1ml/L. 72 hours after planting the head popped out of the soil.
Great looking seedling I should note this genetic was sourced from MediSeedMan.com Gorilla Glue #4
The roots have established enough to support initial growth and this young GorillaGlue#4 is starting to veg upwards and outwards! so far it’s a strikingly symmetrical plant.
I’ve got a Mango Kush seedling growing alongside in identical pots, they were in the tent until I realised I dipped it having two plants in veg inside the flowering tent ! I have a single indoor plant stand with a reasonable led grow lamp attached but not enough room for both seedlings. I noticed some yellowing on the GorillaGlue#4 so I’ve given the stand solely to it and I’ve place the Mango Kush Seedling outside for natural light.
Gorilla Glue #4 has had a complete upgrade !
Firstly, New lights from MarsHydro 🤩 the VG80 full spec twin tubes for veg/clones. What a great set of lights! The plants have responded In kind showing an immediate surge of new greens through the leaves and highlighted purples in the stems she’s clearly been lacking the correct array for complete photosynthesis
Secondly she’s been transplanted into a 1/3 full 5 Gal MarsHydro fabric Pot with organic potting soil and worm castings @ 70:30 ratio.
There’s been zero signs of stress from the transplant, she kept growing as if nothing happened. Super excited to see how they react to the worm castings and new soil and Thankful that the VG80 set turned up the day after transplant as she seems to be full steam ahead now
The gorilla glue from Mediseedman has wasted no time absorbing the fresh new spectrum of intense rays being emitted by the two, 40w (80w total) full spectrum led tube lights from MarsHydro.
I’ve been using a very clever app called Photone that measures par, ppfd, lux, colour temp and dli. You use a piece of paper wrapped around your phone camera to disperse the light and measure as you would a par meter. I downloaded the ‘led full spectrum’ set of specifications within the app in order to measure more accurately.
Currently the settings for veg are:
Lamp~Plant 28cm (11 Inches)
PPFD - 400-420 μmol/m2/s
DLI - 35-37 mol/m2/day (24hr lights on)
Illuminance - 21400 lux
Colour Temp - 5200
I’ve done a little bit of research and found these settings are all in decent ranges I think that’s why I’ve had a burst in growth! The flower tent got an adjustment too using the Photone app. I found that the dli, colour temp and lux were all too much but the ppfd was ok. I adjusted the dimmer on the tsw2000 to bring everything down a bit. The ppfd now sits a little under par (😝) but the dli, Lux and colour temp are correct for this stage in flower. I wouldn’t have made those changes without the aid of the Photone app it’s great tool highly recommend!
I can’t tell if she sprouted two single leaves with slight deformities or if two of the top 3-leaf leaves lost their two side leaves somehow 🤷♂️🏽 becoming single leaves ? Also she seems to have two side shoots coming predominantly out of the top of the plant, has she topped herself ? Can’t wait to see what happens over the week under these new lights
Thank you MarsHydro the new VG80 grow lights are kick ass !
Shout out to Photone too great app! IMO
She’s just about doubled in size in the last week love seeing all the healthy new growth. Nothing to report at the moment, I’m just waiting for her to get big enough to take clones from
