12/31/22 - Last day of the year, and the first day in the recycled soil. Looking for big things from this new Illuminauto from Mephisto Genetics. I ordered 5 for the Christmas special, got 6 (meph math) and also got some additional freebies, so I'll be running more Mephisto in the future (YES!!!)
1/5 - Day 5 picture. Removed humidity dome. Looks good.
1/23 Day 23. This new Mephisto is very aggressive, despite the 60 (f) temps. I have not added any nutes, just water.
1/25 - First dose of nutes. Looking a little pale, it was time.
I plan to pollinate a couple branches with some feminized sour stomper pollen and some purple punch (which I'm working on), but that's a bit down the road.
W6D37 - LST looking great. A slow grower because of the cooler average temperature. Keeping her fed. Once the temps ease up a little more, she will stretch out a bit.
Day 38 - FIM'd
2/8/23 Day 39 Nutes
d40 - defoliate a bit and more LST clips. Noticing calcium deficiency starting. Better up the calmag.
2/20 Day 51 - Continuing the LST and defoliation. The FIM'd top is still wonky. Looks like maybe 3 colas, so I put a clip on the main line at the top.
2/22 - She's 14" with a triple cola for a top.
2/27 Day 58 - Removed all the LST clips today, but their work remains. With the FIM'ing, I now have 3 tops and 2 sides at the same height as my other 3, so I have basically 5 tops. The second row of flowers is also aligned with the others in the row. The stretch is on and with the right heat and VPD, I hope to see some serious growth over the next week. I will cut back on the gro nute and increase the bloom to get a better flower.
All good. Recovering from Ph issue. I think we're through it. Hit the whole tent. My phuck up. I bought a replacement pen, calibrated both. Now, I double check all my water/nutes for Ph and ppm.
3/12 - Nutes
3/13 - Picture. The Ph issue from before is about gone, but I'm not defoliating any leave until I have to. They can slowly turn, and then I'll pluck them, but leaving. I have one top cola that I pollinated with some GSC Reg pollen, left on the brush from last year.
3/20 Day 79 - She's stinky. Still showing some tip damage, but that may be from the lights. She's stinky, but in a good way. Citrus. All the top colas are getting fat. LST proving to be beneficial in spacing for the light. I haven't had to defoliate in some time, because of the top spacing and open bottom. I used those little red LST clips, various sizes. But, not just to train them vertically, but also use them horizontally, so the cola can grow at an angle, giving more of a spread out top. I plan on using these on all my grows in the future.
3/23 - Light defoliation. Hated to do it, but she had some wild leaves that were just sucking energy. Again, very light. I have not defoliated this girl like I have others in the past, trying to keep as much green as I can. She was pretty much lollipopped early, so the bottom is open.
3/24 Day 83 - Colas are showing some growth and fattening. The smell is so sweet and citrusy. Sometimes I can smell the oil on my hands after working with her. Love the aroma. If this goes 3 more weeks and fattens up, she will need some support, but I'm guessing she'll make it about 100 days. No signs of seed development on the one flower I may have pollinated.
3/27 - Day 86 on this girl. She is trying to fill out, but daaaamn she's slow. Temps and VPD are kicking high this week, I figured she'll finish strong. No indication the pollinated flower is going to have any seed. Worth a shot (it was OLD pollen). Also, I added some Tiger Bloom to her nutes. I dropped her nitrogen in the last 2 nutes. She's starting to show some fade, so she better fatten up quick. I give her until day 100, then she's CHOPPED.
YES, 2 MORE WEEKS!
3/31 - Day 90. Checked trichomes today. Looking tall and milky. I may have to go ahead and chop if they start to turn. I'll grab a picture next time. She's trying to fill in and I'm willing to give her time. I don't need the space just yet, so we're good.
Harvested at Day 96. She's currently hanging in the tent to dry. I'll bag her her up in a couple days. My guess is 2.5 ounces trimmed and dried. I'll update with my smoke report.
